Job 9	Hiob 9
Job 9:1 And Job made answer and said,	Hiob 9:1 Hiob antwortete und sprach:
Job 9:2 Truly, I see that it is so: and how is it possible for a man to get his right before God?	Hiob 9:2 Ja, ich weiß gar wohl, daß es also ist und daß ein Mensch nicht recht behalten mag gegen Gott.
Job 9:3 If a man was desiring to go to law with him, he would not be able to give him an answer to one out of a thousand questions.	Hiob 9:3 Hat er Lust, mit ihm zu hadern, so kann er ihm auf tausend nicht eins antworten.
Job 9:4 He is wise in heart and great in strength: who ever made his face hard against him, and any good came of it?	Hiob 9:4 Er ist weise und mächtig; wem ist's je gelungen, der sich wider ihn gelegt hat?
Job 9:5 It is he who takes away the mountains without their knowledge, overturning them in his wrath:	Hiob 9:5 Er versetzt Berge, ehe sie es innewerden, die er in seinem Zorn umkehrt.
Job 9:6 Who is moving the earth out of its place, so that its pillars are shaking:	Hiob 9:6 Er bewegt die Erde aus ihrem Ort, daß ihre Pfeiler zittern.
Job 9:7 Who gives orders to the sun, and it does not give its light; and who keeps the stars from shining.	Hiob 9:7 Er spricht zur Sonne, so geht sie nicht auf, und versiegelt die Sterne.
Job 9:8 By whose hand the heavens were stretched out, and who is walking on the waves of the sea:	Hiob 9:8 Er breitet den Himmel aus allein und geht auf den Wogen des Meeres.
Job 9:9 Who made the Bear and Orion, and the Pleiades, and the store-houses of the south:	Hiob 9:9 Er macht den Wagen am Himmel und Orion und die Plejaden und die Sterne gegen Mittag.
Job 9:10 Who does great things not to be searched out; yes, wonders without number.	Hiob 9:10 Er tut große Dinge, die nicht zu erforschen sind, und Wunder, deren keine Zahl ist.
Job 9:11 See, he goes past me and I see him not: he goes on before, but I have no knowledge of him.	Hiob 9:11 Siehe, er geht an mir vorüber, ehe ich's gewahr werde, und wandelt vorbei, ehe ich's merke.
Job 9:12 If he puts out his hand to take, by whom may it be turned back? who may say to him, What are you doing?	Hiob 9:12 Siehe, wenn er hinreißt, wer will ihm wehren? Wer will zu ihm sagen: Was machst du?
Job 9:13 God's wrath may not be turned back; the helpers of Rahab were bent down under him.	Hiob 9:13 Er ist Gott; seinen Zorn kann niemand stillen; unter ihn mußten sich beugen die Helfer Rahabs.
Job 9:14 How much less may I give an answer to him, using the right words in argument with him?	Hiob 9:14 Wie sollte ich denn ihm antworten und Worte finden gegen ihn?
Job 9:15 Even if my cause was good, I would not be able to give an answer; I would make request for grace from him who was against me.	Hiob 9:15 Wenn ich auch recht habe, kann ich ihm dennoch nicht antworten, sondern ich müßte um mein Recht flehen.
Job 9:16 If I had sent for him to be present, and he had come, I would have no faith that he would give ear to my voice.	Hiob 9:16 Wenn ich ihn schon anrufe, und er mir antwortet, so glaube ich doch nicht, daß er meine Stimme höre.
Job 9:17 For I would be crushed by his storm, my wounds would be increased without cause.	Hiob 9:17 Denn er fährt über mich mit Ungestüm und macht mir Wunden viel ohne Ursache.
Job 9:18 He would not let me take my breath, but I would be full of bitter grief.	Hiob 9:18 Er läßt meinen Geist sich nicht erquicken, sondern macht mich voll Betrübnis.
Job 9:19 If it is a question of strength, he says, Here I am! and if it is a question of a cause at law, he says, Who will give me a fixed day?	Hiob 9:19 Will man Macht, so ist er zu mächtig; will man Recht, wer will mein Zeuge sein?
Job 9:20 Though I was in the right, he would say that I was in the wrong; I have done no evil; but he says that I am a sinner.	Hiob 9:20 Sage ich, daß ich gerecht bin, so verdammt er mich doch; bin ich Unschuldig, so macht er mich doch zu Unrecht.
Job 9:21 I have done no wrong; I give no thought to what becomes of me; I have no desire for life.	Hiob 9:21 Ich bin unschuldig! ich frage nicht nach meiner Seele, begehre keines Lebens mehr.
Job 9:22 It is all the same to me; so I say, He puts an end to the sinner and to him who has done no wrong together.	Hiob 9:22 Es ist eins, darum sage ich: Er bringt um beide, den Frommen und den Gottlosen.
Job 9:23 If death comes suddenly through disease, he makes sport of the fate of those who have done no wrong.	Hiob 9:23 Wenn er anhebt zu geißeln, so dringt er alsbald zum Tod und spottet der Anfechtung der Unschuldigen.
Job 9:24 The land is given into the power of the evil-doer; the faces of its judges are covered; if not by him, then who has done it?	Hiob 9:24 Das Land aber wird gegeben unter die Hand der Gottlosen, und der Richter Antlitz verhüllt er. Ist's nicht also, wer anders sollte es tun?
Job 9:25 My days go quicker than a post-runner: they go in flight, they see no good.	Hiob 9:25 Meine Tage sind schneller gewesen denn ein Läufer; sie sind geflohen und haben nichts Gutes erlebt.
Job 9:26 They go rushing on like reed-boats, like an eagle dropping suddenly on its food.	Hiob 9:26 Sie sind dahingefahren wie die Rohrschiffe, wie ein Adler fliegt zur Speise.
Job 9:27 If I say, I will put my grief out of mind, I will let my face be sad no longer and I will be bright;	Hiob 9:27 Wenn ich gedenke: Ich will meiner Klage vergessen und meine Gebärde lassen fahren und mich erquicken,
Job 9:28 I go in fear of all my pains; I am certain that I will not be free from sin in your eyes.	Hiob 9:28 so fürchte ich alle meine Schmerzen, weil ich weiß, daß du mich nicht unschuldig sein lässest.
Job 9:29 You will not let me be clear of sin! why then do I take trouble for nothing?	Hiob 9:29 Ich muß ja doch ein Gottloser sein; warum mühe ich mich denn so vergeblich?
Job 9:30 If I am washed with snow water, and make my hands clean with soap;	Hiob 9:30 Wenn ich mich gleich mit Schneewasser wüsche und reinigte mein Hände mit Lauge,
Job 9:31 Then you will have me pushed into the dust, so that I will seem disgusting to my very clothing.	Hiob 9:31 so wirst du mich doch tauchen in Kot, und so werden mir meine Kleider greulich anstehen.
Job 9:32 For he is not a man as I am, that I might give him an answer, that we might come together before a judge.	Hiob 9:32 Denn er ist nicht meinesgleichen, dem ich antworten könnte, daß wir vor Gericht miteinander kämen.
Job 9:33 There is no one to give a decision between us, who might have control over us.	Hiob 9:33 Es ist zwischen uns kein Schiedsmann, der seine Hand auf uns beide lege.
Job 9:34 Let him take away his rod from me and not send his fear on me:	Hiob 9:34 Er nehme von mir seine Rute und lasse seinen Schrecken von mir,
Job 9:35 Then I would say what is in my mind without fear of him; for there is no cause of fear in myself.	Hiob 9:35 daß ich möge reden und mich nicht vor ihm fürchten dürfe; denn ich weiß, daß ich kein solcher bin.
