Job 41:1 Is it possible for Leviathan to be pulled out with a fish-hook, or for a hook to be put through the bone of his mouth?	Hiob 41:1 Kannst du den Leviathan ziehen mit dem Haken und seine Zunge mit einer Schnur fassen?
Job 41:2 Will you put a cord into his nose, or take him away with a cord round his tongue?	Hiob 41:2 Kannst du ihm eine Angel in die Nase legen und mit einem Stachel ihm die Backen durchbohren?
Job 41:3 Will he make prayers to you, or say soft words to you?	Hiob 41:3 Meinst du, er werde dir viel Flehens machen oder dir heucheln?
Job 41:4 Will he make an agreement with you, so that you may take him as a servant for ever?	Hiob 41:4 Meinst du, daß er einen Bund mit dir machen werde, daß du ihn immer zum Knecht habest?
Job 41:5 Will you make sport with him, as with a bird? or put him in chains for your young women?	Hiob 41:5 Kannst du mit ihm spielen wie mit einem Vogel oder ihn für deine Dirnen anbinden?
Job 41:6 Will the fishermen make profit out of him? will they have him cut up for the traders?	Hiob 41:6 Meinst du die Genossen werden ihn zerschneiden, daß er unter die Kaufleute zerteilt wird?
Job 41:7 Will you put sharp-pointed irons into his skin, or fish-spears into his head?	Hiob 41:7 Kannst du mit Spießen füllen seine Haut und mit Fischerhaken seinen Kopf?
Job 41:8 Only put your hand on him, and see what a fight you will have; you will not do it again!	Hiob 41:8 Wenn du deine Hand an ihn legst, so gedenke, daß es ein Streit ist, den du nicht ausführen wirst.
Job 41:9 Truly, the hope of his attacker is false; he is overcome even on seeing him!	Hiob 41:9 Siehe, die Hoffnung wird jedem fehlen; schon wenn er seiner ansichtig wird, stürzt er zu Boden.
Job 41:10 He is so cruel that no one is ready to go against him. Who then is able to keep his place before me?	Hiob 41:10 Niemand ist so kühn, daß er ihn reizen darf; wer ist denn, der vor mir stehen könnte?
Job 41:11 Who ever went against me, and got the better of me? There is no one under heaven!	Hiob 41:11 Wer hat mir etwas zuvor getan, daß ich's ihm vergelte? Es ist mein, was unter allen Himmeln ist.
Job 41:12 I will not keep quiet about the parts of his body, or about his power, and the strength of his frame.	Hiob 41:12 Dazu muß ich nun sagen, wie groß, wie mächtig und wohlgeschaffen er ist.
Job 41:13 Who has ever taken off his outer skin? who may come inside his inner coat of iron?	Hiob 41:13 Wer kann ihm sein Kleid aufdecken? und wer darf es wagen, ihm zwischen die Zähne zu greifen?
Job 41:14 Who has made open the doors of his face? Fear is round about his teeth.	Hiob 41:14 Wer kann die Kinnbacken seines Antlitzes auftun? Schrecklich stehen seine Zähne umher.
Job 41:15 His back is made of lines of plates, joined tight together, one against the other, like a stamp.	Hiob 41:15 Seine stolzen Schuppen sind wie feste Schilde, fest und eng ineinander.
Job 41:16 One is so near to the other that no air may come between them.	Hiob 41:16 Eine rührt an die andere, daß nicht ein Lüftlein dazwischengeht.
Job 41:17 They take a grip of one another; they are joined together, so that they may not be parted.	Hiob 41:17 Es hängt eine an der andern, und halten zusammen, daß sie sich nicht voneinander trennen.
Job 41:18 His sneezings give out flames, and his eyes are like the eyes of the dawn.	Hiob 41:18 Sein Niesen glänzt wie ein Licht; seine Augen sind wie die Wimpern der Morgenröte.
Job 41:19 Out of his mouth go burning lights, and flames of fire are jumping up.	Hiob 41:19 Aus seinem Munde fahren Fackeln, und feurige Funken schießen heraus.
Job 41:20 Smoke comes out of his nose, like a pot boiling on the fire.	Hiob 41:20 Aus seiner Nase geht Rauch wie von heißen Töpfen und Kesseln.
Job 41:21 His breath puts fire to coals, and a flame goes out of his mouth.	Hiob 41:21 Sein Odem ist wie eine lichte Lohe, und aus seinem Munde gehen Flammen.
Job 41:22 Strength is in his neck, and fear goes dancing before him.	Hiob 41:22 Auf seinem Hals wohnt die Stärke, und vor ihm her hüpft die Angst.
Job 41:23 The plates of his flesh are joined together, fixed, and not to be moved.	Hiob 41:23 Die Gliedmaßen seines Fleisches hangen aneinander und halten hart an ihm, daß er nicht zerfallen kann.
Job 41:24 His heart is as strong as a stone, hard as the lower crushing-stone.	Hiob 41:24 Sein Herz ist so hart wie ein Stein und so fest wie ein unterer Mühlstein.
Job 41:25 When he gets ready for the fight, the strong are overcome with fear.	Hiob 41:25 Wenn er sich erhebt, so entsetzen sich die Starken; und wenn er daherbricht, so ist keine Gnade da.
Job 41:26 The sword may come near him but is not able to go through him; the spear, or the arrow, or the sharp-pointed iron.	Hiob 41:26 Wenn man zu ihm will mit dem Schwert, so regt er sich nicht, oder mit Spieß, Geschoß und Panzer.
Job 41:27 Iron is to him as dry grass, and brass as soft wood.	Hiob 41:27 Er achtet Eisen wie Stroh, und Erz wie faules Holz.
Job 41:28 The arrow is not able to put him to flight: stones are no more to him than dry stems.	Hiob 41:28 Kein Pfeil wird ihn verjagen; die Schleudersteine sind ihm wie Stoppeln.
Job 41:29 A thick stick is no better than a leaf of grass, and he makes sport of the onrush of the spear.	Hiob 41:29 Die Keule achtet er wie Stoppeln; er spottet der bebenden Lanze.
Job 41:30 Under him are sharp edges of broken pots: as if he was pulling a grain-crushing instrument over the wet earth.	Hiob 41:30 Unten an ihm sind scharfe Scherben; er fährt wie mit einem Dreschwagen über den Schlamm.
Job 41:31 The deep is boiling like a pot of spices, and the sea like a perfume-vessel.	Hiob 41:31 Er macht, daß der tiefe See siedet wie ein Topf, und rührt ihn ineinander, wie man eine Salbe mengt.
Job 41:32 After him his way is shining, so that the deep seems white.	Hiob 41:32 Nach ihm leuchtet der Weg; er macht die Tiefe ganz grau.
Job 41:33 On earth there is not another like him, who is made without fear.	Hiob 41:33 Auf Erden ist seinesgleichen niemand; er ist gemacht, ohne Furcht zu sein.
Job 41:34 Everything which is high goes in fear of him; he is king over all the sons of pride.	Hiob 41:34 Er verachtet alles, was hoch ist; er ist ein König über alles stolze Wild.
