Psalms 44:1 For the Chief Musician. [A Psalm] of the sons of Korah. Maschil. We have heard with our ears, O God, Our fathers have told us, What work thou didst in their days, In the days of old.	Psalmen 44:1 Gott, wir haben's mit unsern Ohren gehört, unsre Väter haben's uns erzählt, was du getan hast zu ihren Zeiten vor alters.
Psalms 44:2 Thou didst drive out the nations with thy hand; But them thou didst plant: Thou didst afflict the peoples; But them thou didst spread abroad.	Psalmen 44:2 Du hast mit deiner Hand die Heiden vertrieben, aber sie hast du eingesetzt; du hast die Völker verderbt, aber sie hast du ausgebreitet.
Psalms 44:3 For they gat not the land in possession by their own sword, Neither did their own arm save them; But thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, Because thou wast favorable unto them.	Psalmen 44:3 Denn sie haben das Land nicht eingenommen durch ihr Schwert, und ihr Arm half ihnen nicht, sondern deine Rechte, dein Arm und das Licht deines Angesichts; denn du hattest Wohlgefallen an ihnen.
Psalms 44:4 Thou art my King, O God: Command deliverance for Jacob.	Psalmen 44:4 Du, Gott, bist mein König, der du Jakob Hilfe verheißest.
Psalms 44:5 Through thee will we push down our adversaries: Through thy name will we tread them under that rise up against us.	Psalmen 44:5 Durch dich wollen wir unsre Feinde zerstoßen; in deinem Namen wollen wir untertreten, die sich wider uns setzen.
Psalms 44:6 For I will not trust in my bow, Neither shall my sword save me.	Psalmen 44:6 Denn ich verlasse mich nicht auf meinen Bogen, und mein Schwert kann mir nicht helfen;
Psalms 44:7 But thou hast saved us from our adversaries, And hast put them to shame that hate us.	Psalmen 44:7 sondern du hilfst uns von unsern Feinden und machst zu Schanden, die uns hassen.
Psalms 44:8 In God have we made our boast all the day long, And we will give thanks unto thy name for ever. Selah	Psalmen 44:8 Wir wollen täglich rühmen von Gott und deinem Namen danken ewiglich.
Psalms 44:9 But now thou hast cast [us] off, and brought us to dishonor, And goest not forth with our hosts.	Psalmen 44:9 Warum verstößest du uns denn nun und lässest uns zu Schanden werden und ziehst nicht aus unter unserm Heer?
Psalms 44:10 Thou makest us to turn back from the adversary; And they that hate us take spoil for themselves.	Psalmen 44:10 Du lässest uns fliehen vor unserm Feind, daß uns berauben, die uns hassen.
Psalms 44:11 Thou hast made us like sheep [appointed] for food, And hast scattered us among the nations.	Psalmen 44:11 Du lässest uns auffressen wie Schafe und zerstreuest uns unter die Heiden.
Psalms 44:12 Thou sellest thy people for nought, And hast not increased [thy wealth] by their price.	Psalmen 44:12 Du verkaufst dein Volk umsonst und nimmst nichts dafür.
Psalms 44:13 Thou makest us a reproach to our neighbors, A scoffing and a derision to them that are round about us.	Psalmen 44:13 Du machst uns zur Schmach unsern Nachbarn, zum Spott und Hohn denen, die um uns her sind.
Psalms 44:14 Thou makest us a byword among the nations, A shaking of the head among the peoples.	Psalmen 44:14 Du machst uns zum Beispiel unter den Heiden und daß die Völker das Haupt über uns schütteln.
Psalms 44:15 All the day long is my dishonor before me, And the shame of my face hath covered me,	Psalmen 44:15 Täglich ist meine Schmach vor mir, und mein Antlitz ist voller Scham,
Psalms 44:16 For the voice of him that reproacheth and blasphemeth, By reason of the enemy and the avenger.	Psalmen 44:16 daß ich die Schänder und Lästerer hören und die Feinde und Rachgierigen sehen muß.
Psalms 44:17 All this is come upon us; Yet have we not forgotten thee, Neither have we dealt falsely in thy covenant.	Psalmen 44:17 Dies alles ist über uns gekommen; und wir haben doch dein nicht vergessen noch untreu in deinem Bund gehandelt.
Psalms 44:18 Our heart is not turned back, Neither have our steps declined from thy way,	Psalmen 44:18 Unser Herz ist nicht abgefallen noch unser Gang gewichen von deinem Weg,
Psalms 44:19 That thou hast sore broken us in the place of jackals, And covered us with the shadow of death.	Psalmen 44:19 daß du uns so zerschlägst am Ort der Schakale und bedeckst uns mit Finsternis.
Psalms 44:20 If we have forgotten the name of our God, Or spread forth our hands to a strange god;	Psalmen 44:20 Wenn wir des Namens unsers Gottes vergessen hätten und unsre Hände aufgehoben zum fremden Gott,
Psalms 44:21 Will not God search this out? For he knoweth the secrets of the heart.	Psalmen 44:21 würde das Gott nicht finden? Er kennt ja unsers Herzens Grund.
Psalms 44:22 Yea, for thy sake are we killed all the day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.	Psalmen 44:22 Denn wir werden ja um deinetwillen täglich erwürgt und sind geachtet wie Schlachtschafe.
Psalms 44:23 Awake, why sleepest thou, O Lord? Arise, cast [us] not off for ever.	Psalmen 44:23 Erwecke dich, HERR! Warum schläfst Du? Wache auf und verstoße uns nicht so gar!
Psalms 44:24 Wherefore hidest thou thy face, And forgettest our affliction and our oppression?	Psalmen 44:24 Warum verbirgst du dein Antlitz, vergissest unsers Elends und unsrer Drangsal?
Psalms 44:25 For our soul is bowed down to the dust: Our body cleaveth unto the earth.	Psalmen 44:25 Denn unsre Seele ist gebeugt zur Erde; unser Leib klebt am Erdboden.
Psalms 44:26 Rise up for our help, And redeem us for thy lovingkindness' sake.	Psalmen 44:26 Mache dich auf, hilf uns und erlöse uns um deiner Güte willen!
