Acts 25:1 Festus therefore, having come into the province, after three days went up to Jerusalem from Caesarea.	Atti degli Apostoli 25:1 Festo dunque, essendo giunto nella sua provincia, tre giorni dopo salì da Cesarea a Gerusalemme.
Acts 25:2 And the chief priests and the principal men of the Jews informed him against Paul; and they besought him,	Atti degli Apostoli 25:2 E i capi sacerdoti e i principali de’ Giudei gli presentarono le loro accuse contro a Paolo;
Acts 25:3 asking a favor against him, that he would send for him to Jerusalem; laying a plot to kill him on the way.	Atti degli Apostoli 25:3 e lo pregavano, chiedendo per favore contro a lui, che lo facesse venire a Gerusalemme. Essi intanto avrebbero posto insidie per ucciderlo per via.
Acts 25:4 Howbeit Festus answered, that Paul was kept in charge at Caesarea, and that he himself was about to depart [thither] shortly.	Atti degli Apostoli 25:4 Festo allora rispose che Paolo era custodito a Cesarea, e che egli stesso dovea partir presto.
Acts 25:5 Let them therefore, saith he, that are of power among you go down with me, and if there is anything amiss in the man, let them accuse him.	Atti degli Apostoli 25:5 Quelli dunque di voi, diss’egli, che possono, scendano meco; e se v’è in quest’uomo qualche colpa, lo accusino.
Acts 25:6 And when he had tarried among them not more than eight or ten days, he went down unto Caesarea; and on the morrow he sat on the judgment-seat, and commanded Paul to be brought.	Atti degli Apostoli 25:6 Rimasto presso di loro non più di otto o dieci giorni, discese in Cesarea; e il giorno seguente, postosi a sedere in tribunale, comandò che Paolo gli fosse menato dinanzi.
Acts 25:7 And when he was come, the Jews that had come down from Jerusalem stood round about him, bringing against him many and grievous charges which they could not prove;	Atti degli Apostoli 25:7 E com’egli fu giunto, i Giudei che eran discesi da Gerusalemme, gli furono attorno, portando contro lui molte e gravi accuse, che non potevano provare; mentre Paolo diceva a sua difesa:
Acts 25:8 while Paul said in his defense, Neither against the law of the Jews, nor against the temple, nor against Caesar, have I sinned at all.	Atti degli Apostoli 25:8 Io non ho peccato né contro la legge de’ Giudei, né contro il tempio, né contro Cesare.
Acts 25:9 But Festus, desiring to gain favor with the Jews, answered Paul and said, Wilt thou go up to Jerusalem, and there be judged of these things before me?	Atti degli Apostoli 25:9 Ma Festo, volendo far cosa grata ai Giudei, disse a Paolo: Vuoi tu salire a Gerusalemme ed esser quivi giudicato davanti a me intorno a queste cose?
Acts 25:10 But Paul said, I am standing before Caesar's judgment-seat, where I ought to be judged: to the Jews have I done no wrong, as thou also very well knowest.	Atti degli Apostoli 25:10 Ma Paolo rispose: Io sto qui dinanzi al tribunale di Cesare, ove debbo esser giudicato; io non ho fatto torto alcuno ai Giudei, come anche tu sai molto bene.
Acts 25:11 If then I am a wrong-doer, and have committed anything worthy of death, I refuse not to die; but if none of those things is [true] whereof these accuse me, no man can give me up unto them. I appeal unto Caesar.	Atti degli Apostoli 25:11 Se dunque sono colpevole e ho commesso cosa degna di morte, non ricuso di morire; ma se nelle cose delle quali costoro mi accusano non c’è nulla di vero, nessuno mi può consegnare per favore nelle loro mani. Io mi appello a Cesare.
Acts 25:12 Then Festus, when he had conferred with the council, answered, Thou hast appealed unto Caesar: unto Caesar shalt thou go.	Atti degli Apostoli 25:12 Allora Festo, dopo aver conferito col consiglio, rispose: Tu ti sei appellato a Cesare; a Cesare andrai.
Acts 25:13 Now when certain days were passed, Agrippa the King and Bernice arrived at Caesarea, and saluted Festus.	Atti degli Apostoli 25:13 E dopo alquanti giorni il re Agrippa e Berenice arrivarono a Cesarea, per salutar Festo.
Acts 25:14 And as they tarried there many days, Festus laid Paul's case before the King, saying, There is a certain man left a prisoner by Felix;	Atti degli Apostoli 25:14 E trattenendosi essi quivi per molti giorni, Festo raccontò al re il caso di Paolo, dicendo: V’è qui un uomo che è stato lasciato prigione da Felice, contro il quale,
Acts 25:15 about whom, when I was at Jerusalem, the chief priests and the elders of the Jews informed [me], asking for sentence against him.	Atti degli Apostoli 25:15 quando fui a Gerusalemme, i capi sacerdoti e gli anziani de’ Giudei mi sporsero querela, chiedendomi di condannarlo.
Acts 25:16 To whom I answered, that it is not the custom of the Romans to give up any man, before that the accused have the accusers face to face, and have had opportunity to make his defense concerning the matter laid against him.	Atti degli Apostoli 25:16 Risposi loro che non è usanza de’ Romani di consegnare alcuno, prima che l’accusato abbia avuto gli accusatori a faccia, e gli sia stato dato modo di difendersi dall’accusa.
Acts 25:17 When therefore they were come together here, I made no delay, but on the next day sat on the judgment-seat, and commanded the man to be brought.	Atti degli Apostoli 25:17 Essendo eglino dunque venuti qua, io, senza indugio, il giorno seguente, sedetti in tribunale, e comandai che quell’uomo mi fosse menato dinanzi.
Acts 25:18 Concerning whom, when the accusers stood up, they brought no charge of such evil things as I supposed;	Atti degli Apostoli 25:18 I suoi accusatori però, presentatisi, non gli imputavano alcuna delle male azioni che io supponevo;
Acts 25:19 but had certain questions against him of their own religion, and of one Jesus, who was dead, whom Paul affirmed to be alive.	Atti degli Apostoli 25:19 ma aveano contro lui certe questioni intorno alla propria religione e intorno a un certo Gesù morto, che Paolo affermava esser vivente.
Acts 25:20 And I, being perplexed how to inquire concerning these things, asked whether he would go to Jerusalem and there be judged of these matters.	Atti degli Apostoli 25:20 Ed io, stando in dubbio sul come procedere in queste cose, gli dissi se voleva andare a Gerusalemme, e quivi esser giudicato intorno a queste cose.
Acts 25:21 But when Paul had appealed to be kept for the decision of the emperor, I commanded him to be kept till I should send him to Caesar.	Atti degli Apostoli 25:21 Ma avendo Paolo interposto appello per esser riserbato al giudizio dell’imperatore, io comandai che fosse custodito, finché lo mandassi a Cesare.
Acts 25:22 And Agrippa [said] unto Festus, I also could wish to hear the man myself. To-morrow, saith he, thou shalt hear him.	Atti degli Apostoli 25:22 E Agrippa disse a Festo: Anch’io vorrei udir cotesto uomo. Ed egli rispose: Domani l’udrai.
Acts 25:23 So on the morrow, when Agrippa was come, and Bernice, with great pomp, and they were entered into the place of hearing with the chief captains and principal men of the city, at the command of Festus Paul was brought in.	Atti degli Apostoli 25:23 Il giorno seguente dunque, essendo venuti Agrippa e Berenice con molta pompa, ed entrati nella sala d’udienza coi tribuni e coi principali della città, Paolo, per ordine di Festo, fu menato quivi.
Acts 25:24 And Festus saith, King Agrippa, and all men who are here present with us, ye behold this man, about whom all the multitude of the Jews made suit to me, both at Jerusalem and here, crying that he ought not to live any longer.	Atti degli Apostoli 25:24 E Festo disse: Re Agrippa, e voi tutti che siete qui presenti con noi, voi vedete quest’uomo, a proposito del quale tutta la moltitudine de’ Giudei s’è rivolta a me, e in Gerusalemme e qui, gridando che non deve viver più oltre.
Acts 25:25 But I found that he had committed nothing worthy of death: and as he himself appealed to the emperor I determined to send him.	Atti degli Apostoli 25:25 Io però non ho trovato che avesse fatto cosa alcuna degna di morte, ed essendosi egli stesso appellato all’imperatore, ho deliberato di mandarglielo.
Acts 25:26 Of whom I have no certain thing to write unto my lord. Wherefore I have brought him forth before you, and specially before thee, king Agrippa, that, after examination had, I may have somewhat to write.	Atti degli Apostoli 25:26 E siccome non ho nulla di certo da scriverne al mio signore, l’ho menato qui davanti a voi, e principalmente davanti a te, o re Agrippa, affinché, dopo esame, io abbia qualcosa da scrivere.
Acts 25:27 For it seemeth to me unreasonable, in sending a prisoner, not withal to signify the charges against him.	Atti degli Apostoli 25:27 Perché non mi par cosa ragionevole mandare un prigioniero, senza notificar le accuse che gli son mosse contro.
