Acts 18:1 After these things, he went away from Athens, and came to Corinth.	Die Apostelgeschichte 18:1 Darnach schied Paulus von Athen und kam gen Korinth
Acts 18:2 And there he came across a certain Jew named Aquila, a man of Pontus by birth, who not long before had come from Italy with his wife Priscilla, because Claudius had given orders that all Jews were to go away from Rome: and he came to them;	Die Apostelgeschichte 18:2 und fand einen Juden mit Namen Aquila, von Geburt aus Pontus, welcher war neulich aus Italien gekommen samt seinem Weibe Priscilla .
Acts 18:3 And because he was of the same trade, he was living with them, and they did their work together; for by trade they were tent-makers.	Die Apostelgeschichte 18:3 Zu denen ging er ein; und dieweil er gleiches Handwerks war, blieb er bei ihnen und arbeitete. .
Acts 18:4 And every Sabbath he had discussions in the Synagogue, turning Jews and Greeks to the faith.	Die Apostelgeschichte 18:4 Und er lehrte in der Schule an allen Sabbaten und beredete beide, Juden und Griechen.
Acts 18:5 And when Silas and Timothy came down from Macedonia, Paul was completely given up to the word, preaching to the Jews that the Christ was Jesus.	Die Apostelgeschichte 18:5 Da aber Silas und Timotheus aus Mazedonien kamen, drang Paulus der Geist, zu bezeugen den Juden Jesum, daß er der Christus sei.
Acts 18:6 And when they put themselves against him, and said evil words, he said, shaking his clothing, Your blood be on your heads, I am clean: from now I will go to the Gentiles.	Die Apostelgeschichte 18:6 Da sie aber widerstrebten und lästerten, schüttelte er die Kleider aus und sprach: Euer Blut sei über euer Haupt! Rein gehe ich von nun an zu den Heiden.
Acts 18:7 And moving from there, he went into the house of a man named Titus Justus, a God-fearing man, whose house was very near the Synagogue.	Die Apostelgeschichte 18:7 Und machte sich von dannen und kam in ein Haus eines mit Namen Just, der gottesfürchtig war; dessen Haus war zunächst an der Schule.
Acts 18:8 And Crispus, the ruler of the Synagogue, with all his family, had faith in the Lord; and a great number of the people of Corinth, hearing the word, had faith and were given baptism.	Die Apostelgeschichte 18:8 Krispus aber, der Oberste der Schule, glaubte an den HERRN mit seinem ganzen Hause; und viele Korinther, die zuhörten, wurden gläubig und ließen sich taufen.
Acts 18:9 And the Lord said to Paul in the night, in a vision, Have no fear and go on preaching:	Die Apostelgeschichte 18:9 Es sprach aber der HERR durch ein Gesicht in der Nacht zu Paulus: Fürchte dich nicht, sondern rede, und schweige nicht!
Acts 18:10 For I am with you, and no one will make an attack on you to do you damage: for I have a number of people in this town.	Die Apostelgeschichte 18:10 denn ich bin mit dir, und niemand soll sich unterstehen, dir zu schaden; denn ich habe ein großes Volk in dieser Stadt.
Acts 18:11 And he was there for a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.	Die Apostelgeschichte 18:11 Er saß aber daselbst ein Jahr und sechs Monate und lehrte das Wort Gottes.
Acts 18:12 But when Gallio was ruler of Achaia, all the Jews together made an attack on Paul, and took him to the judge's seat,	Die Apostelgeschichte 18:12 Da aber Gallion Landvogt war in Achaja, empörten sich die Juden einmütig wider Paulus und führten ihn vor den Richtstuhl
Acts 18:13 Saying, This man is teaching the people to give worship to God in a way which is against the law.	Die Apostelgeschichte 18:13 und sprachen: Dieser überredet die Leute, Gott zu dienen dem Gesetz zuwider.
Acts 18:14 But when Paul was about to say something, Gallio said to the Jews, If this was anything to do with wrongdoing or crime, there would be a reason for me to give you a hearing:	Die Apostelgeschichte 18:14 Da aber Paulus wollte den Mund auftun, sprach Gallion zu den Juden: Wenn es ein Frevel oder eine Schalkheit wäre, liebe Juden, so höre ich euch billig;
Acts 18:15 But if it is a question of words or names or of your law, see to it yourselves; I will not be a judge of such things.	Die Apostelgeschichte 18:15 weil es aber eine Frage ist von der Lehre und von den Worten und von dem Gesetz unter euch, so seht ihr selber zu; ich denke darüber nicht Richter zu sein.
Acts 18:16 And he sent them away from the judge's seat.	Die Apostelgeschichte 18:16 Und trieb sie von dem Richtstuhl.
Acts 18:17 And they all made an attack on Sosthenes, the ruler of the Synagogue, and gave him blows before the judge's seat; but Gallio gave no attention to these things.	Die Apostelgeschichte 18:17 Da ergriffen alle Griechen Sosthenes, den Obersten der Schule, und schlugen ihn vor dem Richtstuhl; und Gallion nahm sich's nicht an.
Acts 18:18 And Paul, after waiting some days, went away from the brothers and went by ship to Syria, Priscilla and Aquila being with him; and he had had his hair cut off in Cenchrea, for he had taken an oath.	Die Apostelgeschichte 18:18 Paulus aber blieb noch lange daselbst; darnach machte er einen Abschied mit den Brüdern und wollte nach Syrien schiffen und mit ihm Priscilla und Aquila. Und er schor sein Haupt zu Kenchreä, denn er hatte ein Gelübde.
Acts 18:19 And they came down to Ephesus and he left them there: and he himself went into the Synagogue and had a discussion with the Jews.	Die Apostelgeschichte 18:19 Und er kam gen Ephesus und ließ sie daselbst; er aber ging in die Schule und redete mit den Juden.
Acts 18:20 And being requested by them to be there for a longer time, he said, No;	Die Apostelgeschichte 18:20 Sie baten ihn aber, daß er längere Zeit bei ihnen bliebe. Und er willigte nicht ein,
Acts 18:21 And went from them, saying, I will come back to you if God lets me; and he took ship from Ephesus.	Die Apostelgeschichte 18:21 sondern machte seinen Abschied mit ihnen und sprach: Ich muß allerdinge das künftige Fest in Jerusalem halten; will's Gott, so will ich wieder zu euch kommen. Und fuhr weg von Ephesus
Acts 18:22 And when he had come to land at Caesarea, he went to see the church, and then went down to Antioch.	Die Apostelgeschichte 18:22 und kam gen Cäsarea und ging hinauf und grüßte die Gemeinde und zog hinab gen Antiochien.
Acts 18:23 And having been there for some time, he went through the country of Galatia and Phrygia in order, making the disciples strong in the faith.	Die Apostelgeschichte 18:23 Und verzog etliche Zeit und reiste weiter und durchwandelte nacheinander das galatische Land und Phrygien und stärkte alle Jünger.
Acts 18:24 Now a certain Jew named Apollos, an Alexandrian by birth, and a man of learning, came to Ephesus; and he had great knowledge of the holy Writings.	Die Apostelgeschichte 18:24 Es kam aber gen Ephesus ein Jude mit namen Apollos, von Geburt aus Alexandrien, ein beredter Mann und mächtig in der Schrift.
Acts 18:25 This man had been trained in the way of the Lord; and burning in spirit, he gave himself up to teaching the facts about Jesus, though he had knowledge only of John's baptism:	Die Apostelgeschichte 18:25 Dieser war unterwiesen im Weg des HERRN und redete mit brünstigem Geist und lehrte mit Fleiß von dem HERRN, wußte aber allein von der Taufe des Johannes.
Acts 18:26 And he was preaching in the Synagogue without fear. But Priscilla and Aquila, hearing his words, took him in, and gave him fuller teaching about the way of God.	Die Apostelgeschichte 18:26 Dieser fing an, frei zu predigen in der Schule. Da ihn aber Aquila und Priscilla hörten, nahmen sie ihn zu sich und legten ihm den Weg Gottes noch fleißiger aus.
Acts 18:27 And when he had a desire to go over into Achaia, the brothers gave him help, and sent letters to the disciples requesting them to take him in among them: and when he had come, he gave much help to those who had faith through grace:	Die Apostelgeschichte 18:27 Da er aber wollte nach Achaja reisen, schrieben die Brüder und vermahnten die Jünger, daß sie ihn aufnähmen. Und als er dahingekommen war, half er denen, die gläubig waren geworden durch die Gnade.
Acts 18:28 For he overcame the Jews in public discussion, making clear from the holy Writings that the Christ was Jesus.	Die Apostelgeschichte 18:28 Denn er überwand die Juden beständig und erwies öffentlich durch die Schrift, daß Jesus Christus sei.
