Acts 23:1 And Paul, looking stedfastly on the council, said, Brethren, I have lived before God in all good conscience until this day. Acts 23:2 And the high priest Ananias commanded them that stood by him to smite him on the mouth.	Mga Buhat 23:2 Ug ang labawng sacerdote nga si Ananias misugo kanila nga nagtindog tupad kang Pablo sa pagsagpa sa iyang baba.
Acts 23:3 Then said Paul unto him, God shall smite thee, thou whited wall: and sittest thou to judge me according to the law, and commandest me to be smitten contrary to the law?	Mga Buhat 23:3 Unya si Pablo miingon kaniya, "Sa Dios pagasagpaon ikaw, pinaputi nga bongbong! Acts 23:4 And they that stood by said, Revilest thou God's high priest?	Mga Buhat 23:4 Ug sila nga nagtindog sa iyang tupad miingon kaniya, "Mopasipala ka ba diayg sulti batok sa labawng sacerdote sa Dios?"
Acts 23:5 And Paul said, I knew not, brethren, that he was high priest: for it is written, Thou shalt not speak evil of a ruler of thy people. Acts 23:6 But when Paul perceived that the one part were Sadducees and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, Brethren, I am a Pharisee, a son of Pharisees: touching the hope and resurrection of the dead I am called in question. Acts 23:8 For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, neither angel, nor spirit; but the Pharisees confess both.	Mga Buhat 23:8 Kay ang mga Saduceo ugod nagaingon man nga walay pagkabanhaw, ni manolunda, ni espiritu; apan ang mga Fariseo nagatoo nga aduna kining tanan.
Acts 23:9 And there arose a great clamor: and some of the scribes of the Pharisees part stood up, and strove, saying, We find no evil in this man: and what if a spirit hath spoken to him, or an angel? Acts 23:10 And when there arose a great dissension, the chief captain, fearing lest Paul should be torn in pieces by them, commanded the soldiers to go down and take him by force from among them, and bring him into the castle. Acts 23:11 And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer: for as thou hast testified concerning me at Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome. Acts 23:12 And when it was day, the Jews banded together, and bound themselves under a curse, saying that they would neither eat nor drink till they had killed Paul. Acts 23:14 And they came to the chief priests and the elders, and said, We have bound ourselves under a great curse, to taste nothing until we have killed Paul. Acts 23:15 Now therefore do ye with the council signify to the chief captain that he bring him down unto you, as though ye would judge of his case more exactly: and we, before he comes near, are ready to slay him.	Mga Buhat 23:15 Busa karon, uban sa Sanhedrin, ipahibalo ninyo sa koronil nga si Pablo kinahanglan iyang ipadala kaninyo, nga daw buot kamo pakisayud sa labi pang sibo mahitungod kaniya. Acts 23:16 But Paul's sister's son heard of their lying in wait, and he came and entered into the castle and told Paul.	Mga Buhat 23:16 Apan ang lalaking anak sa babayeng igsoon ni Pablo nakadungog mahitungod niining ilang banhig; busa miadto siya ug misaka sa kuta ug iyang gisuginlan niini si Pablo.
Acts 23:17 And Paul called unto him one of the centurions, and said, Bring this young man unto the chief captain; for he hath something to tell him.	Mga Buhat 23:17 Ug gitawag ni Pablo ang usa sa mga kapitan ug miingon kaniya, "Dad-a kining batan-on ngadto sa koronil, kay aduna siyay isugilon kaniya."
Acts 23:18 So he took him, and brought him to the chief captain, and saith, Paul the prisoner called me unto him, and asked me to bring this young man unto thee, who hath something to say to thee.	Mga Buhat 23:18 Ug iyang gikuha ug gidala siya ngadto sa koronil, ug miingon, "Si Pablo, ang binilanggo, mitawag kanako ug mihangyo nga dad-on ko kanimo kining batan-on, kay aduna kono siyay isugilon kanimo."
Acts 23:19 And the chief captain took him by the hand, and going aside asked him privately, What is it that thou hast to tell me?	Mga Buhat 23:19 Ug sa kamot gikuptan siya sa koronil, ug sa nadala na siya sa hilit iyang gipangutana, "Unsa bay imong isugilon kanako?"
Acts 23:20 And he said, The Jews have agreed to ask thee to bring down Paul tomorrow unto the council, as though thou wouldest inquire somewhat more exactly concerning him.	Mga Buhat 23:20 Ug siya miingon kaniya, "Ang mga Judio nagakasabut sa paghangyo kanimo sa pagpadala kang Pablo ngadto sa Sanhedrin ugma, nga daw sa magpakisusi sila sa labi pang sibo mahitungod kaniya.
Acts 23:21 Do not thou therefore yield unto them: for there lie in wait for him of them more than forty men, who have bound themselves under a curse, neither to eat nor to drink till they have slain him: and now are they ready, looking for the promise from thee.	Mga Buhat 23:21 Apan ayaw sila pagtoohi, kay kapin sa kap-atan sa ilang mga tawo anaa nagabanhig karon kaniya, ug kini sila ubos sa panumpa nagsinaaray sa dili na pagkaon ni pag-inom hangtud ilang mapatay siya; ug karon andam na sila, nga nagapaabut sa imong pag-uyon."
Acts 23:22 So the chief captain let the young man go, charging him, Tell no man that thou hast signified these things to me.	Mga Buhat 23:22 Ug ang batan-on gipapauli sa koronil, gipinahan niya nga nag-ingon, "Ayaw baya pagsulti kang bisan kinsa nga imo akong gikasuginlan niini."
Acts 23:23 And he called unto him two of the centurions, and said, Make ready two hundred soldiers to go as far as Caesarea, and horsemen threescore and ten, and spearmen two hundred, at the third hour of the night:	Mga Buhat 23:23 Unya iyang gitawag ang duha sa mga kapitan ug miingon siya kanila, "Andama ninyo ang duha ka gatus ka mga sundalo sa paglakaw paingon sa Cesarea sa ikasiyam ang takna karong gabii, dala ang kapitoan nga managkabayo, ug duha ka gatus ka mga magbabangkaw.
Acts 23:24 and [he bade them] provide beasts, that they might set Paul thereon, and bring him safe unto Felix the governor.	Mga Buhat 23:24 Ug usab pagtagana kamog mga kabayo nga kasakyan ni Pablo, ug ayoha siya ninyo paghatud ngadto kang Felix nga gobernador."
Acts 23:25 And he wrote a letter after this form:	Mga Buhat 23:25 Ug nagsulat siyag usa ka sulat nga ingon niini:
Acts 23:26 Claudius Lysias unto the most excellent governor Felix, greeting.	Mga Buhat 23:26 "Si Claudio Lisias ngadto sa iyang Kahalangdon Gobernador Felix, komusta!
Acts 23:27 This man was seized by the Jews, and was about to be slain of them, when I came upon them with the soldiers and rescued him, having learned that he was a Roman.	Mga Buhat 23:27 Kining tawhana gipanagdakop sa mga Judio ug hapit na unta patyon nila, sa diha nga uban sa mga sundalo hing-abtan ko sila ug gitabang ko kini siya, sa nahibaloan ko nga siya usa diay ka siyudadano nga Romanhon.
Acts 23:28 And desiring to know the cause wherefore they accused him, I brought him down unto their council:	Mga Buhat 23:28 Ug sanglit buot man ako pakisayud sa pasikaranan sa ilang sumbong batok kaniya, gidala ko siya ngadto sa ilang Sanhedrin.
Acts 23:29 whom I found to be accused about questions of their law, but to have nothing laid to his charge worthy of death or of bonds.	Mga Buhat 23:29 Ug akong nasuta nga siya gisumbong mahitungod diay sa pipila ka mga butang labut sa ilang kasugoan, apan nga walay gikasumbong batok kaniya nga takus sa kamatayon o sa bilanggoan.
Acts 23:30 And when it was shown to me that there would be a plot against the man, I sent him to thee forthwith, charging his accusers also to speak against him before thee.	Mga Buhat 23:30 Ug kay gikasugilon man kanako nga dihay himoon nga panagsabut batok niining tawhana, gipadala ko siya kanimo dihadiha, dungan ang pagsugo sa iyang mga magsusumbong usab nga kinahanglan ilang ipahayag sa imong atubangan ang ilang sumbong batok kaniya."
Acts 23:31 So the soldiers, as it was commanded them, took Paul and brought him by night to Antipatris.	Mga Buhat 23:31 Ug si Pablo gikuha sa mga sundalo sumala sa gisugo kanila, ug sa takna sa kagabhion ilang gidala siya ngadto sa Antipatrida.
Acts 23:32 But on the morrow they left the horsemen to go with him, and returned to the castle:	Mga Buhat 23:32 Ug sa pagkabuntag namauli sila ngadto sa kuta, nga nagbilin sa mga nanagkabayo sa pagpadayon sa pagpanaw uban kaniya.
Acts 23:33 and they, when they came to Caesarea and delivered the letter to the governor, presented Paul also before him.	Mga Buhat 23:33 Ug sa pag-abut nila sa Cesarea ug gikatunol ang sulat ngadto sa gobernador, si Pablo usab ilang gipaatubang kaniya.
Acts 23:34 And when he had read it, he asked of what province he was; and when he understood that he was of Cilicia,	Mga Buhat 23:34 Ug sa pagkabasa niya sa sulat, si Felix nangutana kaniya kon tagadiin siyang lalawigana. Ug sa iyang pagkasayud nga siya taga-Cilicia,
Acts 23:35 I will hear thee fully, said he, when thine accusers also are come: and he commanded him to be kept in Herod's palace.	Mga Buhat 23:35 siya miingon kaniya, "Pamation ko ikaw inig-abut na sa imong mga magsusumbong." Ug iyang gisugo nga pabantayan siya didto sa palasyo ni Herodes.
