Exodus 2:1 Now a man of the house of Levi took as his wife a daughter of Levi.	Esodo 2:1 Or un uomo della casa di Levi andò e prese per moglie una figliuola di Levi.
Exodus 2:2 And she became with child and gave birth to a Son; and when she saw that he was a beautiful child, she kept him secretly for three months.	Esodo 2:2 Questa donna concepì, e partorì un figliuolo; e vedendo com’egli era bello, lo tenne nascosto tre mesi.
Exodus 2:3 And when she was no longer able to keep him secret, she made him a basket out of the stems of water-plants, pasting sticky earth over it to keep the water out; and placing the baby in it she put it among the plants by the edge of the Nile.	Esodo 2:3 E quando non poté più tenerlo nascosto, prese un canestro fatto di giunchi, lo spalmò di bitume e di pece, vi pose dentro il bambino, e lo mise nel canneto sulla riva del fiume.
Exodus 2:4 And his sister took her place at a distance to see what would become of him.	Esodo 2:4 E la sorella del bambino se ne stava a una certa distanza, per sapere quel che gli succederebbe.
Exodus 2:5 Now Pharaoh's daughter came down to the Nile to take a bath, while her women were walking by the riverside; and she saw the basket among the river-plants, and sent her servant-girl to get it.	Esodo 2:5 Or la figliuola di Faraone scese a fare le sue abluzioni sulla riva del fiume; e le sue donzelle passeggiavano lungo il fiume. Exodus 2:6 And opening it, she saw the child, and he was crying. And she had pity on him, and said, This is one of the Hebrews' children.	Esodo 2:6 L’aprì, e vide il bimbo; ed ecco, il piccino piangeva; ed ella n’ebbe compassione, e disse: "Questo è uno de’ figliuoli degli Ebrei".
Exodus 2:7 Then his sister said to Pharaoh's daughter, May I go and get you one of the Hebrew women to give him the breast?	Esodo 2:7 Allora la sorella del bambino disse alla figliuola di Faraone: "Devo andare a chiamarti una balia tra le donne ebree che t’allatti questo bimbo?"
Exodus 2:8 And Pharaoh's daughter said to her, Go. And the girl went and got the child's mother.	Esodo 2:8 La figliuola di Faraone le rispose: "Va’". E la fanciulla andò a chiamare la madre del bambino.
Exodus 2:9 And Pharaoh's daughter said to her, Take the child away and give it milk for me, and I will give you payment. And the woman took the child and gave it milk at her breast.	Esodo 2:9 E la figliuola di Faraone le disse: "Porta via questo bambino, allattamelo, e io ti darò il tuo salario". E quella donna prese il bambino e l’allattò.
Exodus 2:10 And when the child was older, she took him to Pharaoh's daughter and he became her son, and she gave him the name Moses, Because, she said, I took him out of the water.	Esodo 2:10 E quando il bambino fu cresciuto, ella lo menò dalla figliuola di Faraone: esso fu per lei come un figliuolo, ed ella gli pose nome Mosè; "Perché, disse, io l’ho tratto dall’acqua".
Exodus 2:11 Now when Moses had become a man, one day he went out to his people and saw how hard their work was; and he saw an Egyptian giving blows to a Hebrew, one of his people.	Esodo 2:11 Or in que’ giorni, quando Mosè era già diventato grande, avvenne ch’egli uscì a trovare i suoi fratelli, e notò i lavori di cui erano gravati; e vide un Egiziano, che percoteva uno degli Ebrei suoi fratelli.
Exodus 2:12 And turning this way and that, and seeing no one, he put the Egyptian to death, covering his body with sand.	Esodo 2:12 Egli volse lo sguardo di qua e di là; e, visto che non c’era nessuno, uccise l’Egiziano, e lo nascose nella sabbia.
Exodus 2:13 And he went out the day after and saw two of the Hebrews fighting: and he said to him who was in the wrong, Why are you fighting your brother?	Esodo 2:13 Il giorno seguente uscì, ed ecco due Ebrei che si litigavano; ed egli disse a quello che avea torto: "Perché percuoti il tuo compagno?"
Exodus 2:14 And he said, Who made you a ruler and a judge over us? are you going to put me to death as you did the Egyptian? And Moses was in fear, and said, It is clear that the thing has come to light.	Esodo 2:14 E quegli rispose: "Chi t’ha costituito principe e giudice sopra di noi? Vuoi tu uccider me come uccidesti l’Egiziano?" Allora Mosè ebbe paura, e disse: "Certo, la cosa è nota".
Exodus 2:15 Now when Pharaoh had news of this, he would have put Moses to death. But Moses went in flight from Pharaoh into the land of Midian: and he took his seat by a water-spring.	Esodo 2:15 E quando Faraone udì il fatto, cercò di uccidere Mosè; ma Mosè fuggì dal cospetto di Faraone, e si fermò nel paese di Madian; e si mise a sedere presso ad un pozzo.
Exodus 2:16 Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters: and they came to get water for their father's flock.	Esodo 2:16 Or il sacerdote di Madian aveva sette figliuole; ed esse vennero ad attinger acqua, e a riempire gli abbeveratoi per abbeverare il gregge del padre loro.
Exodus 2:17 And the keepers of the sheep came up and were driving them away; but Moses got up and came to their help, watering their flock for them.	Esodo 2:17 Ma sopraggiunsero i pastori, che le scacciarono. Allora Mosè si levò, prese la loro difesa, e abbeverò il loro gregge.
Exodus 2:18 And when they came to Reuel their father, he said, How is it that you have come back so quickly today?	Esodo 2:18 E com’esse giunsero da Reuel loro padre, questi disse: "Come mai siete tornate così presto oggi?"
Exodus 2:19 And they said, An Egyptian came to our help against the keepers of sheep and got water for us and gave it to the flock.	Esodo 2:19 Ed esse risposero: "Un Egiziano ci ha liberate dalle mani de’ pastori, e di più ci ha attinto l’acqua, ed ha abbeverato il gregge".
Exodus 2:20 And he said to his daughters, Where is he? why have you let the man go? make him come in and give him a meal.	Esodo 2:20 Ed egli disse alle sue figliuole: "E dov’è? Perché avete lasciato là quell’uomo? Chiamatelo, che prenda qualche cibo".
Exodus 2:21 And Moses was happy to go on living with the man; and he gave his daughter Zipporah to Moses.	Esodo 2:21 E Mosè acconsentì a stare da quell’uomo; ed egli diede a Mosè Sefora, sua figliuola.
Exodus 2:22 And she gave birth to a son, to whom he gave the name Gershom: for he said, I have been living in a strange land.	Esodo 2:22 Ed ella partorì un figliuolo ch’egli chiamò Ghershom; "perché, disse, io soggiorno in terra straniera".
Exodus 2:23 Now after a long time the king of Egypt came to his end: and the children of Israel were crying in their grief under the weight of their work, and their cry for help came to the ears of God.	Esodo 2:23 Or nel corso di quel tempo, che fu lungo, avvenne che il re d’Egitto morì; e i figliuoli d’Israele sospiravano a motivo della schiavitù, e alzavan delle grida; e le grida che il servaggio strappava loro salirono a Dio.
Exodus 2:24 And at the sound of their weeping the agreement which God had made with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob came to his mind.	Esodo 2:24 E Dio udì i loro gemiti; e Dio si ricordò dei suo patto con Abrahamo, con Isacco e con Giacobbe.
Exodus 2:25 And God's eyes were turned to the children of Israel and he gave them the knowledge of himself.	Esodo 2:25 E Dio vide i figliuoli d’Israele, e Dio ebbe riguardo alla loro condizione.
