Mateo 23:1 Unya miingon si Jesus sa mga panon sa katawhan ug sa iyang mga tinun-an,	Matthew 23:1 Then spake Jesus to the multitudes and to his disciples,
Mateo 23:2 "Ang mga escriba ug ang mga Fariseo nanaglingkod sa lingkoranan ni Moises;	Matthew 23:2 saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses seat:
Mateo 23:3 busa, buhata ug bantayi ninyo ang tanan nga ilang ginaingon kaninyo, apan ayaw ninyo pagbuhata ang ilang ginabuhat; kay sila maayo rang mosulti apan dili mobuhat.	Matthew 23:3 all things therefore whatsoever they bid you, [these] do and observe: but do not ye after their works; for they say, and do not.
Mateo 23:4 Nagabugkos silag mga mabug-at nga luwan nga malisud pas-anon, ug ila kining gibutang diha sa mga abaga sa mga tawo; apan sila gayud dili gani molihok niini bisan pinaagi na lang sa ilang tudlo.	Matthew 23:4 Yea, they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with their finger.
Mateo 23:5 Nagahimo sila sa ilang tanang mga binuhatan aron lamang sa pagpakita ngadto sa mga tawo; kay ginapalapad nila ang ilang mga pilakteria ug ginapataas nila ang mga borlas sa ilang mga kupo,	Matthew 23:5 But all their works they do to be seen of men: for they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders [of their garments],
Mateo 23:6 ug kinaham nila ang mga halangdong dapit sa mga kombirahan ug ang labing maayong mga lingkoranan sulod sa mga sinagoga,	Matthew 23:6 and love the chief place at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues,
Mateo 23:7 ug ang mga pagyukbo kanila diha sa mga tiyanggihan, ug ang pagtawag kanilag "Rabi" sa mga tawo.	Matthew 23:7 and the salutations in the marketplaces, and to be called of men, Rabbi.
Mateo 23:8 Apan kamo, ayaw kamo pagpatawag nga Rabi, kay kamo adunay usa lamang ka magtutudlo, ug kamong tanan mga magsoon.	Matthew 23:8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your teacher, and all ye are brethren.
Mateo 23:9 Ug kinahanglan walay bisan kinsang tawo dinhi sa yuta nga inyong pagatawgon nga inyong amahan, kay kamo adunay usa lamang ka Amahan nga anaa sa langit.	Matthew 23:9 And call no man your father on the earth: for one is your Father, [even] he who is in heaven.
Mateo 23:10 Ayaw usab kamo pagpatawag nga mga agalon, kay kamo adunay usa lamang ka agalon nga mao si Cristo.	Matthew 23:10 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your master, [even] the Christ.
Mateo 23:11 Ang labing daku kaninyo, ma-inyo siyang sulogoon;	Matthew 23:11 But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
Mateo 23:12 bisan kinsa nga magapahitaas sa iyang kaugalingon iga-pahiubos, ug bisan kinsa nga magapaubos sa iyang kaugalingon igapahitaas.	Matthew 23:12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be humbled; and whosoever shall humble himself shall be exalted.
Mateo 23:13 "Apan alaut kamo, mga escriba ug mga Fariseo, mga maut! kay ginalukban ninyo ang gingharian sa langit atbang sa mga tawo; kay wala kamo mosulod ni magtugot sa pagpasulod sa mga tawo nga gusto untang managsulod.	Matthew 23:13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye shut the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye enter not in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering in to enter[.]
Mateo 23:14 Alaut kamo, mga escriba ug mga Fariseo, mga maut! kay ginasubad ninyo ang katigayonan sa mga babayeng balo, ug aron sa pagtabontabon niini nagahimo kamo sa hatag-as nga mga pangadye; busa mahiaguman ra ninyo ang labi pa ka mabug-at nga hukom sa silot.	Matthew 23:14 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, even while for a pretence ye make long prayers: therefore ye shall receive greater condemnation.
Mateo 23:15 Alaut kamo, mga escriba ug mga Fariseo, mga maut! kay ginalatas-latas ninyo ang kadagatan ug kayutaan aron sa pagdanig bisan usa na lang ka kinabig, ug sa makabig na siya, inyo siyang ginahimo nga dubli pa kaninyo sa pagkaangayan sa infierno.	Matthew 23:15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte; and when he is become so, ye make him twofold more a son of hell than yourselves.
Mateo 23:16 "Alaut kamo, mga magtotultol nga buta, nga manag-ingon, `Kon may manumpa tungod sa templo, wala kanay bili; apan kon may manumpa tungod sa bulawan sa templo, obligado siya sa iyang panumpa.`	Matthew 23:16 Woe unto you, ye blind guides, that say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor.
Mateo 23:17 Kamong mga boangboang nga mga buta! Kay hain bay labaw, ang bulawan o ang templo ba nga maoy nagahimo nga balaan sa bulawan?	Matthew 23:17 Ye fools and blind: for which is greater, the gold, or the temple that hath sanctified the gold?
Mateo 23:18 Ug kamo manag-ingon, `Kon may manumpa tungod sa halaran, wala kanay bili; apan kon may manumpa tungod sa halad nga anaa sa halaran, obligado siya sa iyang panumpa.`	Matthew 23:18 And, Whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gift that is upon it, he is a debtor.
Mateo 23:19 Kamong mga buta! Kay hain bay labaw, ang halad o ang halaran ba nga maoy nagahimo nga balaan sa halad?	Matthew 23:19 Ye blind: for which is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift?
Mateo 23:20 Busa ang manumpa tungod sa halaran, nagapanumpa tungod niini ug sa tanang anaa niini;	Matthew 23:20 He therefore that sweareth by the altar, sweareth by it, and by all things thereon.
Mateo 23:21 ug ang manumpa tungod sa templo, nagapanumpa tungod niini ug tungod sa nagapuyo sulod niini;	Matthew 23:21 And he that sweareth by the temple, sweareth by it, and by him that dwelleth therein.
Mateo 23:22 ug ang manumpa tungod sa langit, nagapanumpa tungod sa trono sa Dios ug tungod sa nagalingkod niini.	Matthew 23:22 And he that sweareth by the heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him that sitteth thereon.
Mateo 23:23 "Alaut kamo, mga escriba ug mga Fariseo, mga maut! kay nagahatag kamog ikapulo sa yerbabuyna ug sa anis ug sa komino, apan wala ninyo buhata ang labi pang hinungdanong mga butang sa kasugoan, nga mao ang hustisya, ug kaluoy, ug pagtoo; kining mga butanga kinahanglan gayud unta nga inyong pagabuhaton, sa walay pagbiya sa uban.	Matthew 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye tithe mint and anise and cummin, and have left undone the weightier matters of the law, justice, and mercy, and faith: but these ye ought to have done, and not to have left the other undone.
Mateo 23:24 Kamong mga magtotultol nga buta, ginasala ninyo ang usa ka buok nga tagnok ug ginalamoy ninyo ang usa ka buok nga kamelyo!	Matthew 23:24 Ye blind guides, that strain out the gnat, and swallow the camel!
Mateo 23:25 "Alaut kamo, mga escriba ug mga Fariseo, mga maut! kay ginahinloan ninyo ang gawas nga bahin sa baso ug sa pinggan, apan sa sulod kini sila napuno sa panikas ug sa labihang pag-pangilog.	Matthew 23:25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye cleanse the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full from extortion and excess.
Mateo 23:26 Fariseo nga buta! hinloi una ang sa sulod nga bahin sa baso ug sa pinggan aron ang gawas nga bahin niini magamahinlo usab.	Matthew 23:26 Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first the inside of the cup and of the platter, that the outside thereof may become clean also.
Mateo 23:27 "Alaut kamo, mga escriba ug mga Fariseo, mga maut! kay sama kamo sa pinaputi nga mga pantiyon nga sa gawas managpakita sa katahum, apan sa sulod kini sila puno sa mga bukog sa mga patay ug sa tanang kahugawan.	Matthew 23:27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which outwardly appear beautiful, but inwardly are full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.
Mateo 23:28 Sa ingon usab niini, sa gawas ninyo kamo nagapakita nga daw mga matarung sa atubangan sa mga tawo, apan sa sulod ninyo natugob kamo sa kamaut ug sa kadautan.	Matthew 23:28 Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but inwardly ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.
Mateo 23:29 "Alaut kamo, mga escriba ug mga Fariseo, mga maut! kay ginabuhatan ninyog mga pantiyon ang mga profeta ug inyong ginadayandayanan ang mga bungdo sa mga matarung,	Matthew 23:29 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye build the sepulchres of the prophets, and garnish the tombs of the righteous,
Mateo 23:30 ug magkanayon kamo, `Kon nakaabut pa kami sa mga adlaw sa among mga ginikanan, dili gayud kami moapil uban kanila sa pag-ula sa dugo sa mga profeta.`	Matthew 23:30 and say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we should not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.
Mateo 23:31 Sa ingon niini nagamatuod kamo batok ra sa inyong kaugalingon nga kamo mga anak diay niadtong mga nanagpatay sa mga profeta.	Matthew 23:31 Wherefore ye witness to yourselves, that ye are sons of them that slew the prophets.
Mateo 23:32 Hala, pun-a pa gayud ninyo ang taksanan sa inyong mga ginikanan.	Matthew 23:32 Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.
Mateo 23:33 Kamong mga halas, kamong kaliwat sa mga bitin, unsaon ugod ninyo paghilingkawas gikan sa pagkahinukman ngadto sa infierno?	Matthew 23:33 Ye serpents, ye offspring of vipers, how shall ye escape the judgment of hell?
Mateo 23:34 Tungod niini, padad-an ko kamog mga profeta ug mga makinaadmanon ug mga escriba, nga ang uban kanila inyong pagapatyon ug igalansang sa krus, ug ang uban inyong pagahampakon sa sulod sa inyong mga sinagoga ug inyong pagalutoson gikan sa usa ka lungsod ngadto sa usa,	Matthew 23:34 Therefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: some of them shall ye kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute from city to city:
Mateo 23:35 aron nga diha kaninyo pagapanilngon ang tanang dugo sa mga matarung nga naula sa ibabaw sa yuta, sukad pa sa dugo ni Abel nga matarung hangtud sa dugo ni Zacarias nga anak ni Baraquias, nga inyong gipatay diha sa kinatung-an sa templo ug sa halaran.	Matthew 23:35 that upon you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of Abel the righteous unto the blood of Zachariah son of Barachiah, whom ye slew between the sanctuary and the altar.
Mateo 23:36 Sa pagkatinuod, magaingon ako kaninyo, kining tanan moabut niining kaliwatana.	Matthew 23:36 Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.
Mateo 23:37 "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, nga nagapatay sa mga profeta ug nagabato sa mga sinugo nganha kanimo! Sa makadaghan gipangandoy ko ang pagtigum unta sa imong mga anak, maingon sa himungaan nga nagatigum sa iyang mga piso ilalum sa iyang mga pako, apan nagadumili kamo!	Matthew 23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, that killeth the prophets, and stoneth them that are sent unto her! how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
Mateo 23:38 Tan-awa, mabiniyaan ug magamingaw ang inyong balay.	Matthew 23:38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.
Mateo 23:39 Kay sultihan ko kamo, nga dili na kamo makakita kanako pag-usab, hangtud makaingon na kamo, `Dalaygon ang nagaanhi sa ngalan sa Ginoo`."	Matthew 23:39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed [is] he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
