Proverbs 29:1 A man hating sharp words and making his heart hard, will suddenly be broken and will not be made well again.	Provérbios 29:1 Aquele que, sendo muitas vezes repreendido, endurece a cerviz, será quebrantado de repente sem que haja cura.
Proverbs 29:2 When the upright have power, the people are glad; when an evil man is ruler, grief comes on the people.	Provérbios 29:2 Quando os justos governam, alegra-se o povo; mas quando o ímpio domina, o povo geme.
Proverbs 29:3 A man who is a lover of wisdom is a joy to his father: but he who goes in the company of loose women is a waster of wealth.	Provérbios 29:3 O que ama a sabedoria alegra a seu pai; mas o companheiro de prostitutas desperdiça a sua riqueza.
Proverbs 29:4 A king, by right rule, makes the land safe; but one full of desires makes it a waste.	Provérbios 29:4 O rei pela justiça estabelece a terra; mas o que exige presentes a transtorna.
Proverbs 29:5 A man who says smooth things to his neighbour is stretching out a net for his steps.	Provérbios 29:5 O homem que lisonjeia a seu próximo arma-lhe uma rede aos passos.
Proverbs 29:6 In the steps of an evil man there is a net for him, but the upright man gets away quickly and is glad.	Provérbios 29:6 Na transgressão do homem mau há laço; mas o justo canta e se regozija.
Proverbs 29:7 The upright man gives attention to the cause of the poor: the evil-doer gives no thought to it.	Provérbios 29:7 O justo toma conhecimento da causa dos pobres; mas o ímpio não tem entendimento para a conhecer.
Proverbs 29:8 Men of pride are the cause of violent acts in a town, but by wise men wrath is turned away.	Provérbios 29:8 Os escarnecedores abrasam a cidade; mas os sábios desviam a ira.
Proverbs 29:9 If a wise man goes to law with a foolish man, he may be angry or laughing, but there will be no rest.	Provérbios 29:9 O sábio que pleiteia com o insensato, quer este se agaste quer se ria, não terá descanso.
Proverbs 29:10 Men of blood are haters of the good man, and evil-doers go after his soul.	Provérbios 29:10 Os homens sanguinários odeiam o íntegro; mas os retos procuram o seu bem.
Proverbs 29:11 A foolish man lets out all his wrath, but a wise man keeps it back quietly.	Provérbios 29:11 O tolo derrama toda a sua ira; mas o sábio a reprime e aplaca.
Proverbs 29:12 If a ruler gives attention to false words, all his servants are evil-doers.	Provérbios 29:12 O governador que dá atenção às palavras mentirosas achará que todos os seus servos são ímpios.
Proverbs 29:13 The poor man and his creditor come face to face: the Lord gives light to their eyes equally.	Provérbios 29:13 O pobre e o opressor se encontram; o Senhor alumia os olhos de ambos.
Proverbs 29:14 The king who is a true judge in the cause of the poor, will be safe for ever on the seat of his power.	Provérbios 29:14 Se o rei julgar os pobres com eqüidade, o seu trono será estabelecido para sempre.
Proverbs 29:15 The rod and sharp words give wisdom: but a child who is not guided is a cause of shame to his mother.	Provérbios 29:15 A vara e a repreensão dão sabedoria; mas a criança entregue a si mesma envergonha a sua mãe.
Proverbs 29:16 When evil men are in power, wrongdoing is increased; but the upright will have pleasure when they see their downfall.	Provérbios 29:16 Quando os ímpios se multiplicam, multiplicam-se as transgressões; mas os justos verão a queda deles.
Proverbs 29:17 Give your son training, and he will give you rest; he will give delight to your soul.	Provérbios 29:17 Corrige a teu filho, e ele te dará descanso; sim, deleitará o teu coração.
Proverbs 29:18 Where there is no vision, the people are uncontrolled; but he who keeps the law will be happy.	Provérbios 29:18 Onde não há profecia, o povo se corrompe; mas o que guarda a lei esse é bem-aventurado.
Proverbs 29:19 A servant will not be trained by words; for though the sense of the words is clear to him, he will not give attention.	Provérbios 29:19 O servo não se emendará com palavras; porque, ainda que entenda, não atenderá.
Proverbs 29:20 Have you seen a man who is quick with his tongue? There is more hope for a foolish man than for him.	Provérbios 29:20 Vês um homem precipitado nas suas palavras? Maior esperança há para o tolo do que para ele.
Proverbs 29:21 If a servant is gently cared for from his early years, he will become a cause of sorrow in the end.	Provérbios 29:21 Aquele que cria delicadamente o seu servo desde a meninice, no fim tê-lo-á por herdeiro.
Proverbs 29:22 An angry man is the cause of fighting, and a man given to wrath does much wrong.	Provérbios 29:22 O homem iracundo levanta contendas, e o furioso multiplica as transgressões.
Proverbs 29:23 A man's pride will be the cause of his fall, but he who has a gentle spirit will get honour.	Provérbios 29:23 A soberba do homem o abaterá; mas o humilde de espírito obterá honra.
Proverbs 29:24 A man who takes part with a thief has hate for his soul; he is put under oath, but says nothing.	Provérbios 29:24 O que é sócio do ladrão odeia a sua própria alma; sendo ajuramentado, nada denuncia.
Proverbs 29:25 The fear of man is a cause of danger: but whoever puts his faith in the Lord will have a safe place on high.	Provérbios 29:25 O receio do homem lhe arma laços; mas o que confia no Senhor está seguro.
Proverbs 29:26 The approval of a ruler is desired by great numbers: but the decision in a man's cause comes from the Lord.	Provérbios 29:26 Muitos buscam o favor do príncipe; mas é do Senhor que o homem recebe a justiça.
Proverbs 29:27 An evil man is disgusting to the upright, and he who is upright is disgusting to evil-doers.	Provérbios 29:27 O ímpio é abominação para os justos; e o que é reto no seu caminho é abominação para o ímpio.
