Proverbs 31:1 The words of Lemuel, king of Massa: the teaching which he had from his mother.	Proverbi 31:1 Parole del re Lemuel. Sentenze con le quali sua madre lo ammaestrò.
Proverbs 31:2 What am I to say to you, O Lemuel, my oldest son? and what, O son of my body? and what, O son of my oaths?	Proverbi 31:2 Che ti dirò, figlio mio? che ti dirò, figlio delle mie viscere? che ti dirò, o figlio dei miei voti?
Proverbs 31:3 Do not give your strength to women, or your ways to that which is the destruction of kings.	Proverbi 31:3 Non dare il tuo vigore alle donne, né i tuoi costumi a quelle che perdono i re.
Proverbs 31:4 It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to take wine, or for rulers to say, Where is strong drink?	Proverbi 31:4 Non s’addice ai re, o Lemuel, non s’addice ai re bere del vino, né ai principi, bramar la cervogia:
Proverbs 31:5 For fear that through drinking they may come to have no respect for the law, wrongly judging the cause of those who are in trouble.	Proverbi 31:5 che a volte, avendo bevuto, non dimentichino la legge, e non disconoscano i diritti d’ogni povero afflitto.
Proverbs 31:6 Give strong drink to him who is near to destruction, and wine to him whose soul is bitter:	Proverbi 31:6 Date della cervogia a chi sta per perire, e del vino a chi ha l’anima amareggiata;
Proverbs 31:7 Let him have drink, and his need will go from his mind, and the memory of his trouble will be gone.	Proverbi 31:7 affinché bevano, dimentichino la loro miseria, e non si ricordin più dei loro travagli.
Proverbs 31:8 Let your mouth be open for those who have no voice, in the cause of those who are ready for death.	Proverbi 31:8 Apri la tua bocca in favore del mutolo, per sostener la causa di tutti i derelitti;
Proverbs 31:9 Let your mouth be open, judging rightly, and give right decisions in the cause of the poor and those in need.	Proverbi 31:9 apri la tua bocca, giudica con giustizia, fa’ ragione al misero ed al bisognoso.
Proverbs 31:10 Who may make discovery of a woman of virtue? For her price is much higher than jewels.	Proverbi 31:10 Elogio della donna forte e virtuosa. Una donna forte e virtuosa chi la troverà? il suo pregio sorpassa di molto quello delle perle.
Proverbs 31:11 The heart of her husband has faith in her, and he will have profit in full measure.	Proverbi 31:11 Il cuore del suo marito confida in lei, ed egli non mancherà mai di provviste.
Proverbs 31:12 She does him good and not evil all the days of her life.	Proverbi 31:12 Ella gli fa del bene, e non del male, tutti i giorni della sua vita.
Proverbs 31:13 She gets wool and linen, working at the business of her hands.	Proverbi 31:13 Ella si procura della lana e del lino, e lavora con diletto con le proprie mani.
Proverbs 31:14 She is like the trading-ships, getting food from far away.	Proverbi 31:14 Ella è simile alle navi dei mercanti: fa venire il suo cibo da lontano.
Proverbs 31:15 She gets up while it is still night, and gives meat to her family, and their food to her servant-girls.	Proverbi 31:15 Ella si alza quando ancora è notte, distribuisce il cibo alla famiglia e il compito alle sue donne di servizio.
Proverbs 31:16 After looking at a field with care, she gets it for a price, planting a vine-garden with the profit of her work.	Proverbi 31:16 Ella posa gli occhi sopra un campo, e l’acquista; col guadagno delle sue mani pianta una vigna.
Proverbs 31:17 She puts a band of strength round her, and makes her arms strong.	Proverbi 31:17 Ella si ricinge di forza i fianchi, e fa robuste le sue braccia.
Proverbs 31:18 She sees that her marketing is of profit to her: her light does not go out by night.	Proverbi 31:18 Ella s’accorge che il suo lavoro rende bene; la sua lucerna non si spegne la notte.
Proverbs 31:19 She puts her hands to the cloth-working rod, and her fingers take the wheel.	Proverbi 31:19 Ella mette la mano alla ròcca, e le sue dita maneggiano il fuso.
Proverbs 31:20 Her hands are stretched out to the poor; yes, she is open-handed to those who are in need.	Proverbi 31:20 Ella stende le palme al misero, e porge le mani al bisognoso.
Proverbs 31:21 She has no fear of the snow for her family, for all those in her house are clothed in red.	Proverbi 31:21 Ella non teme la neve per la sua famiglia, perché tutta la sua famiglia è vestita di lana scarlatta.
Proverbs 31:22 She makes for herself cushions of needlework; her clothing is fair linen and purple.	Proverbi 31:22 Ella si fa dei tappeti, ha delle vesti di lino finissimo e di porpora.
Proverbs 31:23 Her husband is a man of note in the public place, when he takes his seat among the responsible men of the land.	Proverbi 31:23 Il suo marito è rispettato alle porte, quando si siede fra gli Anziani del paese.
Proverbs 31:24 She makes linen robes and gets a price for them, and traders take her cloth bands for a price.	Proverbi 31:24 Ella fa delle tuniche e le vende, e delle cinture che dà al mercante.
Proverbs 31:25 Strength and self-respect are her clothing; she is facing the future with a smile.	Proverbi 31:25 Forza e dignità sono il suo manto, ed ella si ride dell’avvenire.
Proverbs 31:26 Her mouth is open to give out wisdom, and the law of mercy is on her tongue.	Proverbi 31:26 Ella apre la bocca con sapienza, ed ha sulla lingua insegnamenti di bontà.
Proverbs 31:27 She gives attention to the ways of her family, she does not take her food without working for it.	Proverbi 31:27 Ella sorveglia l’andamento della sua casa, e non mangia il pane di pigrizia.
Proverbs 31:28 Her children get up and give her honour, and her husband gives her praise, saying,	Proverbi 31:28 I suoi figliuoli sorgono e la proclaman beata, e il suo marito la loda, dicendo:
Proverbs 31:29 Unnumbered women have done well, but you are better than all of them.	Proverbi 31:29 "Molte donne si son portate valorosamente, ma tu le superi tutte"!
Proverbs 31:30 Fair looks are a deceit, and a beautiful form is of no value; but a woman who has the fear of the Lord is to be praised.	Proverbi 31:30 La grazia è fallace e la bellezza è cosa vana; ma la donna che teme l’Eterno è quella che sarà lodata.
Proverbs 31:31 Give her credit for what her hands have made: let her be praised by her works in the public place.	Proverbi 31:31 Datele del frutto delle sue mani, e le opere sue la lodino alle porte!
