Proverbs 4:1 Give ear, my sons, to the teaching of a father; give attention so that you may have knowledge:	Proverbi 4:1 Figliuoli, ascoltate l’istruzione di un padre, e state attenti a imparare il discernimento;
Proverbs 4:2 For I give you good teaching; do not give up the knowledge you are getting from me.	Proverbi 4:2 perché io vi do una buona dottrina; non abbandonate il mio insegnamento.
Proverbs 4:3 For I was a son to my father, a gentle and an only one to my mother.	Proverbi 4:3 Quand’ero ancora fanciullo presso mio padre, tenero ed unico presso mia madre,
Proverbs 4:4 And he gave me teaching, saying to me, Keep my words in your heart; keep my rules so that you may have life:	Proverbi 4:4 egli mi ammaestrava e mi diceva: "Il tuo cuore ritenga le mie parole; osserva i miei comandamenti, e vivrai.
Proverbs 4:5 Get wisdom, get true knowledge; keep it in memory, do not be turned away from the words of my mouth.	Proverbi 4:5 Acquista sapienza, acquista intelligenza; non dimenticare le parole della mia bocca, e non te ne sviare;
Proverbs 4:6 Do not give her up, and she will keep you; give her your love, and she will make you safe.	Proverbi 4:6 non abbandonare la sapienza, ed essa ti custodirà; amala, ed essa ti proteggerà.
Proverbs 4:7 The first sign of wisdom is to get wisdom; go, give all you have to get true knowledge.	Proverbi 4:7 Il principio della sapienza è: Acquista la sapienza. Sì, a costo di quanto possiedi, acquista l’intelligenza.
Proverbs 4:8 Put her in a high place, and you will be lifted up by her; she will give you honour, when you give her your love.	Proverbi 4:8 Esaltala, ed essa t’innalzerà; essa ti coprirà di gloria, quando l’avrai abbracciata.
Proverbs 4:9 She will put a crown of grace on your head, giving you a head-dress of glory.	Proverbi 4:9 Essa ti metterà sul capo una corona di grazia, ti farà dono d’un magnifico diadema".
Proverbs 4:10 Give ear, O my son, and let your heart be open to my sayings; and long life will be yours.	Proverbi 4:10 Ascolta, figliuol mio, ricevi le mie parole, e anni di vita ti saranno moltiplicati.
Proverbs 4:11 I have given you teaching in the way of wisdom, guiding your steps in the straight way.	Proverbi 4:11 Io ti mostro la via della sapienza, t’avvio per i sentieri della rettitudine.
Proverbs 4:12 When you go, your way will not be narrow, and in running you will not have a fall.	Proverbi 4:12 Se cammini, i tuoi passi non saran raccorciati; e se corri, non inciamperai.
Proverbs 4:13 Take learning in your hands, do not let her go: keep her, for she is your life.	Proverbi 4:13 Afferra saldamente l’istruzione, non la lasciar andare; serbala, perch’essa è la tua vita.
Proverbs 4:14 Do not go in the road of sinners, or be walking in the way of evil men.	Proverbi 4:14 Non entrare nel sentiero degli empi, e non t’inoltrare per la via de’ malvagi;
Proverbs 4:15 Keep far from it, do not go near; be turned from it, and go on your way.	Proverbi 4:15 schivala, non passare per essa; allontanatene, e va’ oltre.
Proverbs 4:16 For they take no rest till they have done evil; their sleep is taken away if they have not been the cause of someone's fall.	Proverbi 4:16 Poiché essi non posson dormire se non han fatto del male, e il sonno è loro tolto se non han fatto cader qualcuno.
Proverbs 4:17 The bread of evil-doing is their food, the wine of violent acts their drink.	Proverbi 4:17 Essi mangiano il pane dell’empietà, e bevono il vino della violenza;
Proverbs 4:18 But the way of the upright is like the light of early morning, getting brighter and brighter till the full day.	Proverbi 4:18 ma il sentiero dei giusti è come la luce che spunta e va vie più risplendendo, finché sia giorno perfetto.
Proverbs 4:19 The way of sinners is dark; they see not the cause of their fall.	Proverbi 4:19 La via degli empi è come il buio; essi non scorgono ciò che li farà cadere.
Proverbs 4:20 My son, give attention to my words; let your ear be turned to my sayings.	Proverbi 4:20 Figliuol mio, sta’ attento alle mie parole, inclina l’orecchio ai miei detti;
Proverbs 4:21 Let them not go from your eyes; keep them deep in your heart.	Proverbi 4:21 non si dipartano mai dai tuoi occhi, serbali nel fondo del cuore;
Proverbs 4:22 For they are life to him who gets them, and strength to all his flesh.	Proverbi 4:22 poiché sono vita per quelli che li trovano, e salute per tutto il loro corpo.
Proverbs 4:23 And keep watch over your heart with all care; so you will have life.	Proverbi 4:23 Custodisci il tuo cuore più d’ogni altra cosa, poiché da esso procedono le sorgenti della vita.
Proverbs 4:24 Put away from you an evil tongue, and let false lips be far from you.	Proverbi 4:24 Rimuovi da te la perversità della bocca, e allontana da te la falsità delle labbra.
Proverbs 4:25 Keep your eyes on what is in front of you, looking straight before you.	Proverbi 4:25 Gli occhi tuoi guardino bene in faccia, e le tue palpebre si dirigano dritto davanti a te.
Proverbs 4:26 Keep a watch on your behaviour; let all your ways be rightly ordered.	Proverbi 4:26 Appiana il sentiero dei tuoi piedi, e tutte le tue vie siano ben preparate.
Proverbs 4:27 Let there be no turning to the right or to the left, keep your feet from evil.	Proverbi 4:27 Non piegare né a destra né a sinistra, ritira il tuo piede dal male.
