Psalms 49:1 Alamoth. To the chief music-maker. Of the sons of Korah. A Psalm.Give attention to this, all you peoples; let your ears be open, all you who are living in the world.	Salmi 49:1 Per il Capo de’ musici. De’ figliuoli di Core. Salmo. Udite questo, popoli tutti; porgete orecchio, voi tutti gli abitanti del mondo!
Psalms 49:2 High and low together, the poor, and those who have wealth.	Salmi 49:2 Plebei e nobili, ricchi e poveri tutti insieme.
Psalms 49:3 From my mouth will come words of wisdom; and in the thoughts of my heart will be knowledge.	Salmi 49:3 La mia bocca proferirà cose savie, e la meditazione del mio cuore sarà piena di senno.
Psalms 49:4 I will put my teaching into a story; I will make my dark sayings clear with music.	Salmi 49:4 Io presterò l’orecchio alle sentenze, spiegherò a suon di cetra il mio enigma.
Psalms 49:5 What cause have I for fear in the days of evil, when the evil-doing of those who are working for my downfall is round about me?	Salmi 49:5 Perché temerei ne’ giorni dell’avversità quando mi circonda l’iniquità dei miei insidiatori,
Psalms 49:6 Even of those whose faith is in their wealth, and whose hearts are lifted up because of their stores.	Salmi 49:6 i quali confidano ne’ loro grandi averi e si gloriano della grandezza delle loro ricchezze?
Psalms 49:7 Truly, no man may get back his soul for a price, or give to God the payment for himself;	Salmi 49:7 Nessuno però può in alcun modo redimere il fratello, né dare a Dio il prezzo del riscatto d’esso.
Psalms 49:8 (Because it takes a great price to keep his soul from death, and man is not able to give it.)	Salmi 49:8 Il riscatto dell’anima dell’uomo è troppo caro e farà mai sempre difetto.
Psalms 49:9 So that he might have eternal life, and never see the underworld.	Salmi 49:9 Non può farsi ch’ei continui a vivere in perpetuo e non vegga la fossa.
Psalms 49:10 For he sees that wise men come to their end, and foolish persons of low behaviour come to destruction together, letting their wealth go to others.	Salmi 49:10 Perché la vedrà. I savi muoiono; periscono del pari il pazzo e lo stolto e lasciano ad altri i loro beni.
Psalms 49:11 The place of the dead is their house for ever, and their resting-place through all generations; those who come after them give their names to their lands.	Salmi 49:11 L’intimo lor pensiero è che le loro case dureranno in eterno e le loro abitazioni d’età in età; dànno i loro nomi alle loro terre.
Psalms 49:12 But man, like the animals, does not go on for ever; he comes to an end like the beasts.	Salmi 49:12 Ma l’uomo ch’è in onore non dura; egli è simile alle bestie che periscono.
Psalms 49:13 This is the way of the foolish; their silver is for those who come after them, and their children get the pleasure of their gold. (Selah.)	Salmi 49:13 Questa loro condotta è una follia; eppure i loro successori approvano i lor detti. Sela.
Psalms 49:14 Death will give them their food like sheep; the underworld is their fate and they will go down into it; their flesh is food for worms; their form is wasted away; the underworld is their resting-place for ever.	Salmi 49:14 Son cacciati come pecore nel soggiorno de’ morti; la morte è il loro pastore; ed al mattino gli uomini retti li calpestano. La lor gloria ha da consumarsi nel soggiorno de’ morti, né avrà altra dimora.
Psalms 49:15 But God will get back my soul; for he will take me from the power of death. (Selah.)	Salmi 49:15 Ma Iddio riscatterà l’anima mia dal potere del soggiorno dei morti, perché mi prenderà con sé. Sela.
Psalms 49:16 Have no fear when wealth comes to a man, and the glory of his house is increased;	Salmi 49:16 Non temere quand’uno s’arricchisce, quando si accresce la gloria della sua casa.
Psalms 49:17 For at his death, he will take nothing away; his glory will not go down after him.	Salmi 49:17 Perché, quando morrà, non porterà seco nulla; la sua gloria non scenderà dietro a lui.
Psalms 49:18 Though he might have pride in his soul in his life-time, and men will give you praise if you do well for yourself,	Salmi 49:18 Benché tu, mentre vivi, ti reputi felice, e la gente ti lodi per i godimenti che ti procuri,
Psalms 49:19 He will go to the generation of his fathers; he will not see the light again.	Salmi 49:19 tu te ne andrai alla generazione de’ tuoi padri, che non vedranno mai più la luce.
Psalms 49:20 Man, like the animals, does not go on for ever; he comes to an end like the beasts.	Salmi 49:20 L’uomo ch’è in onore e non ha intendimento è simile alle bestie che periscono.
