Psalms 35	Salmi 35
Psalms 35:1 Of David. O Lord, be on my side against those who are judging me; be at war with those who make war against me.	Salmi 35:1 Di Davide. O Eterno, contendi con quelli che contendono meco, combatti con quelli che combattono meco.
Psalms 35:2 Be a breastplate to me, and give me your help.	Salmi 35:2 Prendi lo scudo e la targa e lèvati in mio aiuto.
Psalms 35:3 Take up your spear and keep back my attackers; say to my soul, I am your salvation.	Salmi 35:3 Tira fuori la lancia e chiudi il passo ai miei persecutori; di’ all’anima mia: Io son la tua salvezza.
Psalms 35:4 Let them be overcome and put to shame who make attempts to take my soul; let those who would do me damage be turned back and made foolish.	Salmi 35:4 Sian confusi e svergognati quelli che cercano l’anima mia; voltin le spalle e arrossiscano quei che macchinano la mia rovina.
Psalms 35:5 Let them be like dust from the grain before the wind; let the angel of the Lord send them in flight.	Salmi 35:5 Sian come pula al vento e l’angelo dell’Eterno li scacci.
Psalms 35:6 Let their way be dark and full of danger; let them be troubled by the angel of the Lord.	Salmi 35:6 Sia la via loro tenebrosa e sdrucciolevole, e l’insegua l’angelo dell’Eterno.
Psalms 35:7 For without cause they have put a net ready for me secretly, in which to take my soul.	Salmi 35:7 Poiché, senza cagione, m’hanno teso di nascosto la loro rete, senza cagione hanno scavato una fossa per togliermi la vita.
Psalms 35:8 Let destruction come on them without their knowledge; let them be taken themselves in their secret nets, falling into the same destruction.	Salmi 35:8 Li colga una ruina improvvisa e sian presi nella rete ch’essi stessi hanno nascosta; scendano nella rovina apparecchiata per me.
Psalms 35:9 And my soul will have joy in the Lord; it will be glad in his salvation.	Salmi 35:9 Allora l’anima mia festeggerà nell’Eterno, e si rallegrerà nella sua salvezza.
Psalms 35:10 All my bones will say, Lord, who is like you? The saviour of the poor man from the hands of the strong, of him who is poor and in need from him who takes his goods.	Salmi 35:10 Tutte le mie ossa diranno: O Eterno, chi è pari a te che liberi il misero da chi è più forte di lui, il misero e il bisognoso da chi lo spoglia?
Psalms 35:11 False witnesses got up: they put questions to me about crimes of which I had no knowledge.	Salmi 35:11 Iniqui testimoni si levano; mi domandano cose delle quali non so nulla.
Psalms 35:12 They gave me back evil for good, troubling my soul.	Salmi 35:12 Mi rendono male per bene; derelitta è l’anima mia.
Psalms 35:13 But as for me, when they were ill I put on the clothing of sorrow: I went without food and was sad, and my prayer came back again to my heart.	Salmi 35:13 Eppure io, quand’eran malati, vestivo il cilicio, affliggevo l’anima mia col digiuno, e pregavo col capo curvo sul seno…
Psalms 35:14 My behaviour was as if it had been my friend or my brother: I was bent low in grief like one whose mother is dead.	Salmi 35:14 Camminavo triste come per la perdita d’un amico, d’un fratello, andavo chino, abbrunato, come uno che pianga sua madre.
Psalms 35:15 But they took pleasure in my trouble, and came together, yes, low persons came together against me without my knowledge; they never came to an end of wounding me.	Salmi 35:15 Ma, quand’io vacillo, essi si rallegrano, s’adunano assieme; s’aduna contro di me gente abietta che io non conosco; mi lacerano senza posa.
Psalms 35:16 Like men of deceit they put me to shame; the voice of their wrath was loud against me.	Salmi 35:16 Come profani buffoni da mensa, digrignano i denti contro di me.
Psalms 35:17 Lord, how long will you be looking on? take my soul from their destruction, my life from the lions.	Salmi 35:17 O Signore, fino a quando vedrai tu questo? Ritrai l’anima mia dalle loro ruine, l’unica mia, di fra i leoncelli.
Psalms 35:18 I will give you praise in the great meeting; I will give you honour among a strong people.	Salmi 35:18 Io ti celebrerò nella grande assemblea, ti loderò in mezzo a gran popolo.
Psalms 35:19 Do not let my haters be glad over me falsely; let not those who are against me without cause make sport of me.	Salmi 35:19 Non si rallegrino di me quelli che a torto mi sono nemici, né ammicchino con l’occhio quelli che m’odian senza cagione.
Psalms 35:20 For they do not say words of peace; in their deceit they are designing evil things against the quiet ones in the land.	Salmi 35:20 Poiché non parlan di pace, anzi macchinan frodi contro la gente pacifica del paese.
Psalms 35:21 Their mouths were open wide against me, and they said, Aha, aha, our eyes have seen it.	Salmi 35:21 Apron larga la bocca contro me e dicono: Ah, ah! l’occhio nostro l’ha visto.
Psalms 35:22 You have seen this, O Lord; be not unmoved: O Lord, be not far from me.	Salmi 35:22 Anche tu hai visto, o Eterno; non tacere! O Signore, non allontanarti da me.
Psalms 35:23 Be awake, O Lord, be moved to take up my cause, my God and my Lord.	Salmi 35:23 Risvegliati, destati, per farmi ragione, o mio Dio, mio Signore, per difender la mia causa.
Psalms 35:24 Be my judge, O Lord my God, in your righteousness; do not let them be glad over me.	Salmi 35:24 Giudicami secondo la tua giustizia o Eterno, Iddio mio, e fa’ ch’essi non si rallegrino su me;
Psalms 35:25 Let them not say in their hearts, So we will have it: let them not say, We have put an end to him.	Salmi 35:25 che non dicano in cuor loro: Ah, ecco il nostro desiderio! che non dicano: L’abbiamo inghiottito.
Psalms 35:26 Let all those who take pleasure in my troubles be shamed and come to nothing: let those who are lifted up against me be covered with shame and have no honour.	Salmi 35:26 Siano tutti insieme svergognati e confusi quelli che si rallegrano del mio male; sian rivestiti d’onta e di vituperio quelli che si levano superbi contro di me.
Psalms 35:27 Let those who are on my side give cries of joy; let them ever say, The Lord be praised, for he has pleasure in the peace of his servant.	Salmi 35:27 Cantino e si rallegrino quelli che si compiacciono della mia giustizia, e dican del continuo: Magnificato sia l’Eterno che vuole la pace del suo servitore!
Psalms 35:28 And my tongue will be talking of your righteousness and of your praise all the day.	Salmi 35:28 E la mia lingua parlerà della tua giustizia, e dirà del continuo la tua lode.
