Geremia 29:1 Or queste son le parole della lettera che il profeta Geremia mandò da Gerusalemme al residuo degli anziani in cattività, ai sacerdoti, ai profeti e a tutto il popolo che Nebucadnetsar avea menato in cattività da Gerusalemme in Babilonia,	Jeremiah 29:1 Now these are the words of the letter which Jeremiah the prophet sent from Jerusalem to the responsible men among those who had been taken away, and to the priests and the prophets and to all the rest of the people whom Nebuchadnezzar had taken away prisoners from Jerusalem to Babylon;
Geremia 29:2 dopo che il re Jeconia, la regina, gli eunuchi, i principi di Giuda e di Gerusalemme, i falegnami e i fabbri furono usciti da Gerusalemme.	Jeremiah 29:2 (After Jeconiah the king and the queen-mother and the unsexed servants and the rulers of Judah and Jerusalem and the expert workmen and the metal-workers had gone away from Jerusalem;)
Geremia 29:3 La lettera fu portata per man di Elasa, figliuolo di Shafan, e di Ghemaria, figliuolo di Hilkia, che Sedekia, re di Giuda, mandava a Babilonia da Nebucadnetsar, re di Babilonia. Essa diceva:	Jeremiah 29:3 By the hand of Elasah, the son of Shaphan, and Gemariah, the son of Hilkiah, (whom Zedekiah, king of Judah, sent to Babylon, to Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon,) saying,
Geremia 29:4 Così parla l’Eterno degli eserciti, l’Iddio d’Israele, a tutti i deportati ch’egli ha fatto menare in cattività da Gerusalemme in Babilonia:	Jeremiah 29:4 This is what the Lord of armies, the God of Israel, has said to all those whom I have taken away prisoners from Jerusalem to Babylon:
Geremia 29:5 Fabbricate delle case e abitatele; piantate de’ giardini e mangiatene il frutto;	Jeremiah 29:5 Go on building houses and living in them, and planting gardens and using the fruit of them;
Geremia 29:6 prendete delle mogli e generate figliuoli e figliuole; prendete delle mogli per i vostri figliuoli; date marito alle vostre figliuole perché faccian figliuoli e figliuole; e moltiplicate là dove siete, e non diminuite.	Jeremiah 29:6 Take wives and have sons and daughters, and take wives for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, so that they may have sons and daughters; and be increased in number there and do not become less.
Geremia 29:7 Cercate il bene della città dove io vi ho fatti menare in cattività, e pregate l’Eterno per essa; poiché dal bene d’essa dipende il vostro bene.	Jeremiah 29:7 And be working for the peace of the land to which I have had you taken away prisoners, and make prayer to the Lord for it: for in its peace you will have peace.
Geremia 29:8 Poiché così dice l’Eterno degli eserciti, l’Iddio d’Israele: I vostri profeti che sono in mezzo a voi e i vostri indovini non v’ingannino, e non date retta ai sogni che fate.	Jeremiah 29:8 For this is what the Lord of armies, the God of Israel, has said: Do not let yourselves be tricked by the prophets who are among you, and the readers of signs, and give no attention to their dreams which they may have;
Geremia 29:9 Giacché quelli vi profetano falsamente nel mio nome; io non li ho mandati, dice l’Eterno.	Jeremiah 29:9 For they are saying to you what is false in my name: I have not sent them, says the Lord.
Geremia 29:10 Poiché così parla l’Eterno: Quando settant’anni saranno compiuti per Babilonia, io vi visiterò e manderò ad effetto per voi la mia buona parola, facendovi tornare in questo luogo.	Jeremiah 29:10 For this is what the Lord has said: When seventy years are ended for Babylon, I will have pity on you and give effect to my good purpose for you, causing you to come back to this place.
Geremia 29:11 Poiché io so i pensieri che medito per voi, dice l’Eterno: pensieri di pace e non di male, per darvi un avvenire e una speranza.	Jeremiah 29:11 For I am conscious of my thoughts about you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you hope at the end.
Geremia 29:12 Voi m’invocherete, verrete a pregarmi e io v’esaudirò.	Jeremiah 29:12 And you will go on crying to me and making prayer to me, and I will give ear to you.
Geremia 29:13 Voi mi cercherete e mi troverete, perché mi cercherete con tutto il vostro cuore;	Jeremiah 29:13 And you will be searching for me and I will be there, when you have gone after me with all your heart.
Geremia 29:14 e io mi lascerò trovare da voi, dice l’Eterno, e vi farò tornare dalla vostra cattività; vi raccoglierò di fra tutte le nazioni e da tutti i luoghi dove vi ho cacciati, dice l’Eterno; e vi ricondurrò nel luogo donde vi ho fatti andare in cattività.	Jeremiah 29:14 I will be near you again, says the Lord, and your fate will be changed, and I will get you together from all the nations and from all the places where I had sent you away, says the Lord; and I will take you back again to the place from which I sent you away prisoners.
Geremia 29:15 Voi dite: "L’Eterno ci ha suscitato de’ profeti in Babilonia".	Jeremiah 29:15 For you have said, The Lord has given us prophets in Babylon.
Geremia 29:16 Ebbene, così parla l’Eterno riguardo al re che siede sul trono di Davide, riguardo a tutto il popolo che abita in questa città, ai vostri fratelli che non sono andati con voi in cattività;	Jeremiah 29:16 For this is what the Lord has said about the king who is seated on the seat of David's kingdom, and about all the people living in this town, your countrymen who have not gone out with you as prisoners;
Geremia 29:17 così parla l’Eterno degli eserciti: Ecco, io manderò contro di loro la spada, la fame, la peste, e li renderò come quegli orribili fichi che non si posson mangiare, tanto sono cattivi.	Jeremiah 29:17 This is what the Lord of armies has said: See, I will send on them the sword and need of food and disease, and will make them like bad figs, which are of no use for food, they are so bad.
Geremia 29:18 E li inseguirò con la spada, con la fame, con la peste; farò sì che saranno agitati fra tutti i regni della terra, e li abbandonerò alla esecrazione, allo stupore, alla derisione e al vituperio fra tutte le nazioni dove li caccerò;	Jeremiah 29:18 I will go after them, attacking them with the sword and with need of food and with disease, and will make them a cause of fear to all the kingdoms of the earth, to be a curse and a wonder and a surprise and a name of shame among all the nations where I have sent them:
Geremia 29:19 perché non han dato ascolto alle mie parole, dice l’Eterno, che io ho mandate loro a dire dai miei servitori i profeti del continuo, fin dal mattino; ma essi non han dato ascolto, dice l’Eterno.	Jeremiah 29:19 Because they have not given ear to my words, says the Lord, when I sent to them my servants the prophets, getting up early and sending them; but you did not give ear, says the Lord.
Geremia 29:20 Ascoltate dunque la parola dell’Eterno, o voi tutti, che io ho mandati in cattività da Gerusalemme in Babilonia!	Jeremiah 29:20 And now, give ear to the word of the Lord, all you whom I have sent away prisoners from Jerusalem to Babylon.
Geremia 29:21 Così parla l’Eterno degli eserciti, l’Iddio d’Israele, riguardo ad Achab, figliuolo di Kolaia, e riguardo a Sedekia, figliuolo di Maaseia, che vi profetizzano la menzogna nel mio nome: Ecco, io do costoro in mano di Nebucadnetsar, re di Babilonia, ed ei li metterà a morte davanti agli occhi vostri;	Jeremiah 29:21 This is what the Lord of armies, the God of Israel, has said about Ahab, the son of Kolaiah, and about Zedekiah, the son of Maaseiah, who are saying to you what is false in my name: See, I will give them up into the hands of Nebuchadrezzar, king of Babylon, and he will put them to death before your eyes.
Geremia 29:22 da essi si trarrà una formula di maledizione fra tutti quei di Giuda che sono in cattività in Babilonia, e si dirà: "L’Eterno ti tratti come Sedekia e come Achab, che il re di Babilonia ha fatti arrostire al fuoco!"	Jeremiah 29:22 And their fate will be used as a curse by all the prisoners of Judah who are in Babylon, who will say, May the Lord make you like Zedekiah and like Ahab, who were burned in the fire by the king of Babylon;
Geremia 29:23 Perché costoro han fatto delle cose nefande in Israele, han commesso adulterio con le mogli del loro prossimo, e hanno pronunziato in mio nome parole di menzogna; il che io non avevo loro comandato. Io stesso lo so, e ne son testimone, dice l’Eterno.	Jeremiah 29:23 Because they have done shame in Israel, and have taken their neighbours' wives, and in my name have said false words, which I did not give them orders to say; and I myself am the witness, says the Lord.
Geremia 29:24 E quanto a Scemaia il Nehelamita, gli parlerai in questo modo:	Jeremiah 29:24 About Shemaiah the Nehelamite.
Geremia 29:25 Così dice l’Eterno degli eserciti, l’Iddio d’Israele: Tu hai mandato in tuo nome una lettera a tutto il popolo che è in Gerusalemme, a Sofonia, figliuolo di Maaseia il sacerdote, e a tutti i sacerdoti, per dire:	Jeremiah 29:25 Shemaiah the Nehelamite sent a letter in his name to Zephaniah, the son of Maaseiah the priest, saying,
Geremia 29:26 "L’Eterno ti ha costituito sacerdote in luogo del sacerdote Jehoiada, perché vi siano nella casa dell’Eterno de’ sovrintendenti per sorvegliare ogni uomo che è pazzo e che fa il profeta, e perché tu lo metta ne’ ceppi e ai ferri.	Jeremiah 29:26 The Lord has made you priest in place of Jehoiada the priest, to be an overseer in the house of the Lord for every man who is off his head and is acting as a prophet, to put such men in prison and in chains.
Geremia 29:27 E ora perché non reprimi tu Geremia d’Anatoth che fa il profeta tra voi,	Jeremiah 29:27 So why have you made no protest against Jeremiah of Anathoth, who is acting as a prophet to you?
Geremia 29:28 e ci ha perfino mandato a dire a Babilonia: La cattività sarà lunga; fabbricate delle case e abitatele; piantate de’ giardini e mangiatene il frutto?"	Jeremiah 29:28 For he has sent to us in Babylon saying, The time will be long: go on building houses and living in them, and planting gardens and using the fruit of them.
Geremia 29:29 Or il sacerdote Sofonia lesse questa lettera in presenza del profeta Geremia.	Jeremiah 29:29 And Zephaniah the priest made clear to Jeremiah the prophet what was said in the letter, reading it to him.
Geremia 29:30 E la parola dell’Eterno fu rivolta a Geremia, dicendo:	Jeremiah 29:30 Then the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah the prophet, saying,
Geremia 29:31 Manda a dire a tutti quelli che sono in cattività: Così parla l’Eterno riguardo a Scemaia il Nehelamita: Poiché Scemaia vi ha profetato, benché io non l’abbia mandato, e vi ha fatto confidare nella menzogna,	Jeremiah 29:31 Send to all those who have been taken away, saying, This is what the Lord has said about Shemaiah the Nehelamite: Because Shemaiah has been acting as a prophet to you, and I did not send him, and has made you put your faith in what is false;
Geremia 29:32 così parla l’Eterno: Ecco, io punirò Scemaia il Nehelamita, e la sua progenie; non vi sarà alcuno de’ suoi discendenti che abiti in mezzo a questo popolo, ed egli non vedrà il bene che io farò al mio popolo, dice l’Eterno; poich’egli ha parlato di ribellione contro l’Eterno.	Jeremiah 29:32 For this cause the Lord has said, Truly I will send punishment on Shemaiah and on his seed; not a man of his family will have a place among this people, and he will not see the good which I am going to do to my people, says the Lord: because he has said words against the Lord.
