Isaiah 42	Jesaja 42
Isaiah 42:1 See my servant, whom I am supporting, my loved one, in whom I take delight: I have put my spirit on him; he will give the knowledge of the true God to the nations.	Jesaja 42:1 Siehe, das ist mein Knecht, ich erhalte ihn, und mein Auserwählter, an welchem meine Seele Wohlgefallen hat. Ich habe ihm meinen Geist gegeben; er wird das Recht unter die Heiden bringen.
Isaiah 42:2 He will make no cry, his voice will not be loud: his words will not come to men's ears in the streets.	Jesaja 42:2 Er wird nicht schreien noch rufen, und seine Stimme wird man nicht hören auf den Gassen.
Isaiah 42:3 He will not let a crushed stem be quite broken, and he will not let a feebly burning light be put out: he will go on sending out the true word to the peoples.	Jesaja 42:3 Das zerstoßene Rohr wird er nicht zerbrechen, und den glimmenden Docht wird er nicht auslöschen. Er wird das Recht wahrhaftig halten lehren.
Isaiah 42:4 His light will not be put out, and he will not be crushed, till he has given the knowledge of the true God to the earth, and the sea-lands will be waiting for his teaching.	Jesaja 42:4 Er wird nicht matt werden noch verzagen, bis daß er auf Erden das Recht anrichte; und die Inseln werden auf sein Gesetz warten.
Isaiah 42:5 God the Lord, even he who made the heavens, measuring them out on high; stretching out the earth, and giving its produce; he who gives breath to the people on it, and life to those who go about on it, says:	Jesaja 42:5 So spricht Gott, der HERR, der die Himmel schafft und ausbreitet, der die Erde macht und ihr Gewächs, der dem Volk, so darauf ist, den Odem gibt, und den Geist denen, die darauf gehen:
Isaiah 42:6 I the Lord have made you the vessel of my purpose, I have taken you by the hand, and kept you safe, and I have given you to be an agreement to the people, and a light to the nations:	Jesaja 42:6 Ich der HERR habe dich gerufen in Gerechtigkeit und habe dich bei deiner Hand gefaßt und habe dich behütet und habe dich zum Bund unter das Volk gegeben, zum Licht der Heiden,
Isaiah 42:7 To give eyes to the blind, to make free the prisoners from the prison, to let out those who are shut up in the dark.	Jesaja 42:7 daß du sollst öffnen die Augen der Blinden und die Gefangenen aus dem Gefängnis führen, und die da sitzen in der Finsternis, aus dem Kerker.
Isaiah 42:8 I am the Lord; that is my name: I will not give my glory to another, or my praise to pictured images.	Jesaja 42:8 Ich, der HERR, das ist mein Name; und will meine Ehre keinem andern geben noch meinen Ruhm den Götzen.
Isaiah 42:9 See, the things said before have come about, and now I give word of new things: before they come I give you news of them.	Jesaja 42:9 Siehe, was ich zuvor habe verkündigt, ist gekommen; so verkündige ich auch Neues; ehe denn es aufgeht, lasse ich's euch hören.
Isaiah 42:10 Make a new song to the Lord, and let his praise be sounded from the end of the earth; you who go down to the sea, and everything in it, the sea-lands and their people.	Jesaja 42:10 Singet dem HERRN ein neues Lied, seinen Ruhm an der Welt Ende, die auf dem Meer fahren und was darinnen ist, die Inseln und die darin wohnen!
Isaiah 42:11 Let the waste land and its flocks be glad, the tent-circles of Kedar; let the people of the rock give a glad cry, from the top of the mountains let them make a sound of joy.	Jesaja 42:11 Rufet laut, ihr Wüsten und die Städte darin samt den Dörfern, da Kedar wohnt; es sollen jauchzen, die in den Felsen wohnen, und rufen von den Höhen der Berge!
Isaiah 42:12 Let them give glory to the Lord, sounding his praise in the sea-lands.	Jesaja 42:12 Lasset sie dem HERRN die Ehre geben und seinen Ruhm in den Inseln verkündigen.
Isaiah 42:13 The Lord will go out as a man of war, he will be moved to wrath like a fighting-man: his voice will be strong, he will give a loud cry; he will go against his attackers like a man of war.	Jesaja 42:13 Der HERR wird ausziehen wie ein Riese; er wird den Eifer aufwecken wie ein Kriegsmann; er wird jauchzen und tönen; er wird seinen Feinden obliegen.
Isaiah 42:14 I have long been quiet, I have kept myself in and done nothing: now I will make sounds of pain like a woman in childbirth, breathing hard and quickly.	Jesaja 42:14 Ich schweige wohl eine Zeitlang und bin still und halte an mich; nun aber will wie eine Gebärerin schreien; ich will sie verwüsten und alle verschlingen.
Isaiah 42:15 I will make waste mountains and hills, drying up all their plants; and I will make rivers dry, and pools dry land.	Jesaja 42:15 Ich will Berge und Hügel verwüsten und all ihr Gras verdorren und will die Wasserströme zu Inseln machen und die Seen austrocknen.
Isaiah 42:16 And I will take the blind by a way of which they had no knowledge, guiding them by roads strange to them: I will make the dark places light before them, and the rough places level. These things will I do and will not give them up.	Jesaja 42:16 Aber die Blinden will ich auf dem Wege leiten, den sie nicht wissen; ich will sie führen auf den Steigen, die sie nicht kennen; ich will die Finsternis vor ihnen her zum Licht machen und das Höckerichte zur Ebene. Solches will ich ihnen alles tun und sie nicht verlassen.
Isaiah 42:17 They will be turned back and be greatly shamed who put their hope in pictured images, who say to metal images, You are our gods.	Jesaja 42:17 Aber die sich auf Götzen verlassen und sprechen zum gegossenen Bilde: Ihr seid unsre Götter! die sollen zurückkehren und zu Schanden werden.
Isaiah 42:18 Give ear, you whose ears are shut; and let your eyes be open, you blind, so that you may see.	Jesaja 42:18 Höret, ihr Tauben, und schauet her, ihr Blinden, daß ihr sehet!
Isaiah 42:19 Who is blind, but my servant? who has his ears stopped, but he whom I send? who is blind as my true one, or who has his ears shut like the Lord's servant?	Jesaja 42:19 Wer ist so blind wie mein Knecht, und wer ist so taub wie mein Bote, den ich sende? Wer ist so blind wie der Vollkommene und so blind wie der Knecht des HERRN?
Isaiah 42:20 Seeing much, but keeping nothing in mind; his ears are open, but there is no hearing.	Jesaja 42:20 Man predigt wohl viel, aber sie halten's nicht; man sagt ihnen genug, aber sie wollen's nicht hören.
Isaiah 42:21 It was the Lord's pleasure, because of his righteousness, to make the teaching great and give it honour.	Jesaja 42:21 Der HERR wollte ihnen wohl um seiner Gerechtigkeit willen, daß er das Gesetz herrlich und groß mache.
Isaiah 42:22 But this is a people whose property has been taken away from them by force; they are all taken in holes, and shut up in prisons: they are made prisoners, and no one makes them free; they are taken by force and no one says, Give them back.	Jesaja 42:22 Aber es ist ein beraubtes und geplündertes Volk; sie sind allzumal verstrickt in Höhlen und versteckt in Kerkern; sie sind zum Raube geworden, und ist kein Erretter da; geplündert, und ist niemand, der da sage: Gib wieder her!
Isaiah 42:23 Who is there among you who will give ear to this? who will give attention to it for the time to come?	Jesaja 42:23 Wer ist unter euch, der solches zu Ohren nehme, der aufmerke und höre, was hernach kommt?
Isaiah 42:24 Who gave up Jacob to those who took away his goods, and Israel to his attackers? Did not the Lord? he against whom they did wrong, and in whose ways they would not go, turning away from his teaching.	Jesaja 42:24 Wer hat Jakob übergeben zu plündern und Israel den Räubern? Hat's nicht der HERR getan, an dem wir gesündigt haben, und sie wollten auf seinen Wegen nicht wandeln und gehorchten seinem Gesetz nicht?
Isaiah 42:25 For this reason he let loose on him the heat of his wrath, and his strength was like a flame; and it put fire round about him, but he did not see it; he was burned, but did not take it to heart.	Jesaja 42:25 Darum hat er über sie ausgeschüttet den Grimm seines Zorns und eine Kriegsmacht; und hat sie umher angezündet, aber sie merken's nicht; und hat sie angebrannt, aber sie nehmen's nicht zu Herzen.
