Isaiah 31:1 Cursed are those who go down to Egypt for help, and who put their faith in horses; looking to war-carriages for salvation, because of their numbers; and to horsemen, because they are very strong; but they are not looking to the Holy One of Israel, or turning their hearts to the Lord;	Jesaja 31:1 Weh denen, die hinabziehen nach Ägypten um Hilfe und verlassen sich auf Rosse und hoffen auf Wagen, daß ihrer viel sind, und auf Reiter, darum daß sie sehr stark sind, und halten sich nicht zum Heiligen in Israel und fragen nichts nach dem HERRN!
Isaiah 31:2 Though he is wise, and able to send evil, and his purpose will not be changed; but he will go against the house of the evil-doers, and against those to whom they are looking for help.	Jesaja 31:2 Er aber ist weise und bringt Unglück herzu und wendet seine Worte nicht, sondern wird sich aufmachen wider das Haus der Bösen und wider die Hilfe der Übeltäter.
Isaiah 31:3 For the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses are flesh, and not spirit: and when the Lord's hand is stretched out, the helper and he who is helped will come down together.	Jesaja 31:3 Denn Ägypten ist Mensch und nicht Gott, und ihre Rosse sind Fleisch und nicht Geist. Und der HERR wird seine Hand ausrecken, daß der Helfer strauchle und der, dem geholfen wird, falle und alle miteinander umkommen.
Isaiah 31:4 For the Lord has said to me, As a lion, or a young lion, makes an angry noise over his food, and if a band of herdsmen come out against him, he will not be in fear of their voices, or give up his food for their noise: so the Lord of armies will come down to make war against Mount Zion and its hill.	Jesaja 31:4 Denn so spricht der HERR zu mir: Gleichwie ein Löwe und ein junger Löwe brüllt über seinen Raub, wenn der Hirten Menge ihn anschreit, so erschrickt er vor ihrem Geschrei nicht und ist ihm auch nicht leid vor ihrer Menge: also wird der HERR Zebaoth herniederfahren, zu streiten auf dem Berge Zion und auf seinem Hügel.
Isaiah 31:5 Like birds with outstretched wings, so will the Lord of armies be a cover to Jerusalem; he will be a cover and salvation for it, going over it he will keep it from danger.	Jesaja 31:5 Und der HERR Zebaoth wird Jerusalem beschirmen, wie die Vögel tun mit Flügeln, schützen, erretten, darin umgehen und aushelfen.
Isaiah 31:6 Come back to him who has been so deeply sinned against by the children of Israel.	Jesaja 31:6 Kehret um, ihr Kinder Israel, zu dem, von welchem ihr sehr abgewichen seid!
Isaiah 31:7 For in that day they will all give up their images of silver and of gold, the sin which they made for themselves.	Jesaja 31:7 Denn zu der Zeit wird ein jeglicher seine silbernen und goldenen Götzen verwerfen, welche euch eure Hände gemacht hatten zur Sünde.
Isaiah 31:8 Then the Assyrian will come down by the sword, but not of man; the sword, not of men, will be the cause of his destruction: and he will go in flight from the sword, and his young men will be put to forced work.	Jesaja 31:8 Und Assur soll fallen, nicht durch Mannes-Schwert, und soll verzehrt werden, nicht durch Menschen-Schwert, und wird doch vor dem Schwert fliehen, und seine junge Mannschaft wird zinsbar werden.
Isaiah 31:9 And his rock will come to nothing because of fear, and his chiefs will go in flight from the flag, says the Lord, whose fire is in Zion, and his altar in Jerusalem.	Jesaja 31:9 Und sein Fels wird vor Furcht wegziehen, und seine Fürsten werden vor dem Panier die Flucht geben, spricht der HERR, der zu Zion Feuer und zu Jerusalem einen Herd hat.
