| And the Lord said to Moses, Say to the priests, the sons of Aaron, Let no man make himself unclean for the dead among his people; | Y Jehova dijo á Moisés: Habla á los sacerdotes hijos de Aarón, y diles que no se contaminen por un muerto en sus pueblos. |
| But only for his near relations, for his mother or his father, his son or his daughter, and his brother; | Mas por su pariente cercano á sí, por su madre, ó por su padre, ó por su hijo, ó por su hermano, |
| And for his sister, a virgin, for she is his near relation and has had no husband, he may make himself unclean. | O por su hermana virgen, á él cercana, la cual no haya tenido marido, por ella se contaminará. |
| But let him, being a chief among his people, not make himself unclean in such a way as to put shame on himself. | No se contaminará, porque es príncipe en sus pueblos, haciéndose inmundo. |
| They are not to have their hair cut off for the dead, or the hair on their chins cut short, or make cuts in their flesh. | No harán calva en su cabeza, ni raerán la punta de su barba, ni en su carne harán rasguños. |
| Let them be holy to their God and not make the name of their God common; for the fire offerings of the Lord and the bread of their God are offered by them, and they are to be holy. | Santos serán á su Dios, y no profanarán el nombre de su Dios; porque los fuegos de Jehová y el pan de su Dios ofrecen: por tanto serán santos. |
| They may not take as wife a loose or common woman, or one who has been put away by her husband: for the priest is holy to his God. | Mujer ramera ó infame no tomarán: ni tomarán mujer repudiada de su marido: porque es santo á su Dios. |
| And he is to be holy in your eyes, for by him the bread of your God is offered; he is to be holy in your eyes, for I the Lord, who make you holy, am holy. | Lo santificarás por tanto, pues el pan de tu Dios ofrece: santo será para ti, porque santo soy yo Jehová vuestro santificador. |
| And if the daughter of a priest makes herself common and by her loose behaviour puts shame on her father, let her be burned with fire. | Y la hija del varón sacerdote, si comenzare á fornicar, á su padre amancilla: quemada será al fuego. |
| And he who is the chief priest among his brothers, on whose head the holy oil has been put, who is marked out to put on the holy robes, may not let his hair go loose or have his clothing out of order as a sign of sorrow. | Y el sumo sacerdote entre sus hermanos, sobre cuya cabeza fué derramado el aceite de la unción, y que hinchió su mano para vestir las vestimentas, no descubrirá su cabeza, ni romperá sus vestidos: |
| He may not go near any dead body or make himself unclean for his father or his mother; | Ni entrará donde haya alguna persona muerta, ni por su padre, ó por su madre se contaminará. |
| He may not go out of the holy place or make the holy place of his God common; for the crown of the holy oil of his God is on him: I am the Lord. | Ni saldrá del santuario, ni contaminará el santuario de su Dios; porque la corona del aceite de la unción de su Dios está sobre él: Yo Jehová. |
| And let him take as his wife one who has not had relations with a man. | Y tomará él mujer con su virginidad. |
| A widow, or one whose husband has put her away, or a common woman of loose behaviour, may not be the wife of a priest; but let him take a virgin from among his people. | Viuda, ó repudiada, ó infame, ó ramera, éstas no tomará: mas tomará virgen de sus pueblos por mujer. |
| And he may not make his seed unclean among his people, for I the Lord have made him holy. | Y no amancillará su simiente en sus pueblos; porque yo Jehová soy el que los santifico. |
| And the Lord said to Moses, | Y Jehová habló á Moisés, diciendo: |
| Say to Aaron, If a man of your family, in any generation, is damaged in body, let him not come near to make the offering of the bread of his God. | Habla á Aarón, y dile: El varón de tu simiente en sus generaciones, en el cual hubiere falta, no se allegará para ofrecer el pan de su Dios. |
| For any man whose body is damaged may not come near: one who is blind, or has not the use of his legs, or one who has a broken nose or any unnatural growth, | Porque ningún varón en el cual hubiere falta, se allegará: varón ciego, ó cojo, ó falto, ó sobrado, |
| Or a man with broken feet or hands, | O varón en el cual hubiere quebradura de pie ó rotura de mano, |
| Or one whose back is bent, or one who is unnaturally small, or one who has a damaged eye, or whose skin is diseased, or whose sex parts are damaged; | O corcobado, ó lagañoso, ó que tuviere nube en el ojo, ó que tenga sarna, ó empeine, ó compañón relajado; |
| No man of the offspring of Aaron whose body is damaged in any way may come near to give the fire offerings of the Lord: he is damaged, he may not come near to make the offerings. | Ningún varón de la simiente de Aarón sacerdote, en el cual hubiere falta, se allegará para ofrecer las ofrendas encendidas de Jehová. Hay falta en él; no se allegará á ofrecer el pan de su Dios. |
| He may take of the bread of God, the holy and the most holy; | El pan de su Dios, de lo muy santo y las cosas santificadas, comerá. |
| But he may not go inside the veil or come near the altar, because he is damaged; and he may not make my holy places common; for I the Lord have made them holy. | Empero no entrará del velo adentro, ni se allegará al altar, por cuanto hay falta en él: y no profanará mi santuario, porque yo Jehová soy el que los santifico. |
| These are the words which Moses said to Aaron and to his sons and to all the children of Israel. | Y Moisés habló esto á Aarón, y á sus hijos, y á todos los hijos de Israel. |
