Jeremiah 5:1 Go quickly through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and get knowledge, and make a search in her wide places if there is a man, if there is one in her who is upright, who keeps faith; and she will have my forgiveness.	Jeremías 5:1 DISCURRID por las plazas de Jerusalem, y mirad ahora, y sabed, y buscad en sus plazas si halláis hombre, si hay alguno que haga juicio, que busque verdad; y yo la perdonaré.
Jeremiah 5:2 And though they say, By the living Lord; truly their oaths are false.	Jeremías 5:2 Y si dijeren: Vive Jehová; por tanto jurarán mentira.
Jeremiah 5:3 O Lord, do not your eyes see good faith? you have given them punishment, but they were not troubled; you have sent destruction on them, but they did not take your teaching to heart: they have made their faces harder than a rock; they would not come back.	Jeremías 5:3 Oh Jehová, ¿no miran tus ojos á la verdad? Azotástelos, y no les dolió; consumístelos, y no quisieron recibir corrección; endurecieron sus rostros más que la piedra, no quisieron tornarse.
Jeremiah 5:4 Then I said, But these are the poor: they are foolish, for they have no knowledge of the way of the Lord or of the behaviour desired by their God.	Jeremías 5:4 Yo empero dije: Por cierto ellos son pobres, enloquecido han, pues no conocen el camino de Jehová, el juicio de su Dios.
Jeremiah 5:5 I will go to the great men and have talk with them; for they have knowledge of the way of the Lord and of the behaviour desired by their God. But as for these, their one purpose is a broken yoke and burst bands.	Jeremías 5:5 Irme he á los grandes, y hablaréles; porque ellos conocen el camino de Jehová, el juicio de su Dios. Ciertamente ellos también quebraron el yugo, rompieron las coyundas.
Jeremiah 5:6 And so a lion from the woods will put them to death, a wolf of the waste land will make them waste, a leopard will keep watch on their towns, and everyone who goes out from them will be food for the beasts; because of the great number of their sins and the increase of their wrongdoing.	Jeremías 5:6 Por tanto, león del monte los herirá, destruirálos lobo del desierto, tigre acechará sobre sus ciudades; cualquiera que de ellas saliere, será arrebatado: porque sus rebeliones se han multiplicado, hanse aumentado sus deslealtades.
Jeremiah 5:7 How is it possible for you to have my forgiveness for this? your children have given me up, taking their oaths by those who are no gods: when I had given them food in full measure, they were false to their wives, taking their pleasure in the houses of loose women.	Jeremías 5:7 ¿Cómo te he de perdonar por esto? Sus hijos me dejaron, y juraron por lo que no es Dios. Saciélos, y adulteraron, y en casa de ramera se juntaron en compañías.
Jeremiah 5:8 They were full of desire, like horses after a meal of grain: everyone went after his neighbour's wife.	Jeremías 5:8 Como caballos bien hartos fueron á la mañana, cada cual relinchaba á la mujer de su prójimo.
Jeremiah 5:9 Am I not to give punishment for these things? says the Lord: will not my soul take payment from such a nation as this?	Jeremías 5:9 ¿No había de hacer visitación sobre esto? dijo Jehová. De una gente como ésta ¿no se había de vengar mi alma?
Jeremiah 5:10 Go up against her vines and make waste; let the destruction be complete: take away her branches, for they are not the Lord's.	Jeremías 5:10 Escalad sus muros, y destruid; mas no hagáis consumación: quitad las almenas de sus muros, porque no son de Jehová.
Jeremiah 5:11 For the people of Israel and the people of Judah have been very false to me, says the Lord.	Jeremías 5:11 Porque resueltamente se rebelaron contra mí la casa de Israel y la casa de Judá, dice Jehová.
Jeremiah 5:12 They would have nothing to do with the Lord, saying, He will do nothing, and no evil will come to us; we will not see the sword or be short of food:	Jeremías 5:12 Negaron á Jehová, y dijeron: El no es, y no vendrá mal sobre nosotros, ni veremos cuchillo ni hambre;
Jeremiah 5:13 And the prophets will become wind, and the word is not in them; so it will be done to them.	Jeremías 5:13 Antes los profetas serán como viento, y no hay en ellos palabra; así se hará á ellos.
Jeremiah 5:14 For this reason the Lord, the God of armies, has said: Because you have said this, I will make my words in your mouth a fire, and this people wood, and they will be burned up by it.	Jeremías 5:14 Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová Dios de los ejércitos: Porque hablasteis esta palabra, he aquí yo pongo en tu boca mis palabras por fuego, y á este pueblo por leños, y los consumirá.
Jeremiah 5:15 See, I will send you a nation from far away, O people of Israel, says the Lord; a strong nation and an old nation, a nation whose language is strange to you, so that you may not get the sense of their words.	Jeremías 5:15 He aquí yo traigo sobre vosotros gente de lejos, oh casa de Israel, dice Jehová; gente robusta, gente antigua, gente cuya lengua ignorarás, y no entenderás lo que hablare.
Jeremiah 5:16 Their arrows give certain death, they are all men of war.	Jeremías 5:16 Su aljaba como sepulcro abierto, todos valientes.
Jeremiah 5:17 They will take all the produce of your fields, which would have been food for your sons and your daughters: they will take your flocks and your herds: they will take all your vines and your fig-trees: and with the sword they will make waste your walled towns in which you put your faith.	Jeremías 5:17 Y comerá tu mies y tu pan, que habían de comer tus hijos y tus hijas; comerá tus ovejas y tus vacas, comerá tus viñas y tus higueras; y tus ciudades fuertes en que tú confías, tornará en nada á cuchillo.
Jeremiah 5:18 But even in those days, says the Lord, I will not let your destruction be complete.	Jeremías 5:18 Empero en aquellos días, dice Jehová, no os acabaré del todo.
Jeremiah 5:19 And it will come about, when you say, Why has the Lord our God done all these things to us? that you will say to them, As you gave me up, making yourselves servants to strange gods in your land, so will you be servants to strange men in a land which is not yours.	Jeremías 5:19 Y será que cuando dijereis: ¿Por qué hizo Jehová el Dios nuestro con nosotros todas estas cosas? entonces les dirás: De la manera que me dejasteis á mí, y servisteis á dioses ajenos en vuestra tierra así serviréis á extraños en tierra ajena.
Jeremiah 5:20 Say this openly in Jacob and give it out in Judah, saying,	Jeremías 5:20 Denunciad esto en la casa de Jacob, y haced que esto se oiga en Judá, diciendo:
Jeremiah 5:21 Give ear now to this, O foolish people without sense; who have eyes but see nothing, and ears without the power of hearing:	Jeremías 5:21 Oid ahora esto, pueblo necio y sin corazón, que tienen ojos y no ven, que tienen oídos y no oyen:
Jeremiah 5:22 Have you no fear of me? says the Lord; will you not be shaking with fear before me, who have put the sand as a limit for the sea, by an eternal order, so that it may not go past it? and though it is ever in motion, it is not able to have its way; though the sound of its waves is loud, they are not able to go past it.	Jeremías 5:22 ¿A mí no temeréis? dice Jehová; ¿no os amedrentaréis á mi presencia, que al mar por ordenación eterna, la cual no quebrantará, puse arena por término? Se levantarán tempestades, mas no prevalecerán; bramarán sus ondas, mas no lo pasarán.
Jeremiah 5:23 But the heart of this people is uncontrolled and turned away from me; they are broken loose and gone.	Jeremías 5:23 Empero este pueblo tiene corazón falso y rebelde; tornáronse y fuéronse.
Jeremiah 5:24 And they do not say in their hearts, Now let us give worship to our God, who gives the rain, the winter and the spring rain, at the right time; who keeps for us the ordered weeks of the grain-cutting.	Jeremías 5:24 Y no dijeron en su corazón: Temamos ahora á Jehová Dios nuestro, que da lluvia temprana y tardía en su tiempo; los tiempos establecidos de la siega nos guarda.
Jeremiah 5:25 Through your evil-doing these things have been turned away, and your sins have kept back good from you.	Jeremías 5:25 Vuestras iniquidades han estorbado estas cosas; y vuestros pecados apartaron de vosotros el bien.
Jeremiah 5:26 For there are sinners among my people: they keep watch, like men watching for birds; they put a net and take men in it.	Jeremías 5:26 Porque fueron hallados en mi pueblo impíos; acechaban como quien pone lazos; pusieron trampa para tomar hombres.
Jeremiah 5:27 As the fowl-house is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: for this reason they have become great and have got wealth.	Jeremías 5:27 Como jaula llena de pájaros, así están sus casas llenas de engaño: así se hicieron grandes y ricos.
Jeremiah 5:28 They have become fat and strong: they have gone far in works of evil: they give no support to the cause of the child without a father, so that they may do well; they do not see that the poor man gets his rights.	Jeremías 5:28 Engordaron y pusiéronse lustrosos, y sobrepujaron los hechos del malo: no juzgaron la causa, la causa del huérfano; con todo hiciéronse prósperos, y la causa de los pobres no juzgaron.
Jeremiah 5:29 Am I not to give punishment for these things? says the Lord: will not my soul take payment from such a nation as this?	Jeremías 5:29 ¿No tengo de visitar sobre esto? dice Jehová; ¿y de tal gente no se vengará mi alma?
Jeremiah 5:30 A thing of wonder and fear has come about in the land;	Jeremías 5:30 Cosa espantosa y fea es hecha en la tierra:
Jeremiah 5:31 The prophets give false words and the priests give decisions by their direction; and my people are glad to have it so: and what will you do in the end?	Jeremías 5:31 Los profetas profetizaron mentira, y los sacerdotes dirigían por manos de ellos; y mi pueblo así lo quiso. ¿Qué pues haréis á su fin?
