Numbers 35:1 And the Lord said to Moses in the lowlands of Moab by Jordan at Jericho,	Numeri 35:1 Und der HERR redete mit Mose auf den Gefilde der Moabiter am Jordan gegenüber Jericho und sprach:
Numbers 35:2 Give orders to the children of Israel to give to the Levites, from the heritage which is theirs, towns for themselves, with land on the outskirts of the towns.	Numeri 35:2 Gebiete den Kindern Israel, daß sie den Leviten Städte geben von ihren Erbgütern zur Wohnung;
Numbers 35:3 These towns are to be their living-places, with land round them for their cattle and their food and all their beasts,	Numeri 35:3 dazu Vorstädte um die Städte her sollt ihr den Leviten auch geben, daß sie in den Städten wohnen und in den Vorstädten ihr Vieh und Gut und allerlei Tiere haben.
Numbers 35:4 Stretching from the wall of the towns a distance of a thousand cubits all round.	Numeri 35:4 Die Weite aber der Vorstädte, die ihr den Leviten gebt, soll tausend Ellen draußen vor der Stadtmauer umher haben.
Numbers 35:5 The measure of this space of land is to be two thousand cubits outside the town on the east, and two thousand cubits on the south and on the west and on the north, the town being in the middle. This space will be the outskirts of their towns.	Numeri 35:5 So sollt ihr nun messen außen an der Stadt von der Ecke gegen Morgen zweitausend Ellen und von der Ecke gegen Mittag zweitausend Ellen und von der Ecke gegen Abend zweitausend Ellen und von der Ecke gegen Mitternacht zweitausend Ellen, daß die Stadt in der Mitte sei. Das sollen ihre Vorstädte sein.
Numbers 35:6 And the towns which you give the Levites are to be the six safe places to which the taker of life may go in flight; and in addition you are to give them forty-two towns.	Numeri 35:6 Und unter den Städten, die ihr den Leviten geben werdet, sollt ihr sechs Freistädte geben, daß dahinein fliehe, wer einen Totschlag getan hat. Über dieselben sollt ihr noch zweiundvierzig Städte geben,
Numbers 35:7 Forty-eight towns are to be given to the Levites, all with land round them.	Numeri 35:7 daß alle Städte, die ihr den Leviten gebt, seien achtundvierzig mit ihren Vorstädten.
Numbers 35:8 And these towns are to be given out of the heritage of the children of Israel, taking the greater number from those who have much, and a smaller number from those who have little: everyone, in the measure of his heritage, is to give of his property to the Levites.	Numeri 35:8 Und sollt derselben desto mehr geben von denen, die viel besitzen unter den Kindern Israel, und desto weniger von denen, die wenig besitzen; ein jeglicher nach seinem Erbteil, das ihm zugeteilt wird, soll Städte den Leviten geben.
Numbers 35:9 And the Lord said to Moses,	Numeri 35:9 Und der HERR redete mit Mose und sprach:
Numbers 35:10 Say to the children of Israel, when you have gone over Jordan into the land of Canaan;	Numeri 35:10 Rede mit den Kindern Israel und sprich zu ihnen: Wenn ihr über den Jordan ins Land Kanaan kommt,
Numbers 35:11 Then let certain towns be marked out as safe places to which anyone who takes the life of another in error may go in flight.	Numeri 35:11 sollt ihr Städte auswählen, daß sie Freistädte seien, wohin fliehe, wer einen Totschlag unversehens tut.
Numbers 35:12 In these towns you may be safe from him who has the right of punishment; so that death may not overtake the taker of life till he has been judged by the meeting of the people.	Numeri 35:12 Und sollen unter euch solche Freistädte sein vor dem Bluträcher, daß der nicht sterben müsse, der einen Totschlag getan hat, bis daß er vor der Gemeinde vor Gericht gestanden sei.
Numbers 35:13 Six of the towns which you give will be such safe places;	Numeri 35:13 Und der Städte, die ihr geben werdet zu Freistädten, sollen sechs sein.
Numbers 35:14 Three on the other side of Jordan and three in the land of Canaan, to be safe places for flight.	Numeri 35:14 Drei sollt ihr geben diesseit des Jordans und drei im Lande Kanaan.
Numbers 35:15 For the children of Israel and for the man from another country who is living among them, these six towns are to be safe places, where anyone causing the death of another through error may go in flight.	Numeri 35:15 Das sind die sechs Freistädte, den Kindern Israel und den Fremdlingen und den Beisassen unter euch, daß dahin fliehe, wer einen Totschlag getan hat unversehens.
Numbers 35:16 But if a man gives another man a blow with an iron instrument, causing his death, he is a taker of life and is certainly to be put to death.	Numeri 35:16 Wer jemand mit einem Eisen schlägt, daß er stirbt, der ist ein Totschläger und soll des Todes sterben.
Numbers 35:17 Or if he gives him a blow with a stone in his hand, causing his death, he is a taker of life and is certainly to be put to death.	Numeri 35:17 Wirft er ihn mit einem Stein, mit dem jemand mag getötet werden, daß er davon stirbt, so ist er ein Totschläger und soll des Todes sterben.
Numbers 35:18 Or if he gave him blows with a wood instrument in his hands, causing his death, he is a taker of life and is certainly to be put to death.	Numeri 35:18 Schlägt er ihn aber mit einem Holz, mit dem jemand mag totgeschlagen werden, daß er stirbt, so ist er ein Totschläger und soll des Todes sterben.
Numbers 35:19 He whose right it is to give punishment for blood, may himself put to death the taker of life when he comes face to face with him.	Numeri 35:19 Der Rächer des Bluts soll den Totschläger zum Tode bringen; wo er ihm begegnet, soll er ihn töten.
Numbers 35:20 If in his hate he put a sword through him, or waiting secretly for him sent a spear or stone at him, causing his death;	Numeri 35:20 Stößt er ihn aus Haß oder wirft etwas auf ihn aus List, daß er stirbt,
Numbers 35:21 Or in hate gave him blows with his hand, causing death; he who gave the death-blow is to be put to death; he is a taker of life: he whose right it is to give punishment for blood may put to death the taker of life when he comes face to face with him.	Numeri 35:21 oder schlägt ihn aus Feindschaft mit seiner Hand, daß er stirbt, so soll er des Todes sterben, der ihn geschlagen hat; denn er ist ein Totschläger. Der Rächer des Bluts soll ihn zum Tode bringen, wo er ihm begegnet.
Numbers 35:22 But if a man has given a wound to another suddenly and not in hate, or without design has sent something against him,	Numeri 35:22 Wenn er ihn aber ungefähr stößt, ohne Feindschaft, oder wirft irgend etwas auf ihn unversehens
Numbers 35:23 Or has given him a blow with a stone, without seeing him, so causing his death, though he had nothing against him and no desire to do him evil:	Numeri 35:23 oder wirft irgend einen Stein auf ihn, davon man sterben mag, und er hat's nicht gesehen, also daß er stirbt, und er ist nicht sein Feind, hat ihm auch kein Übles gewollt,
Numbers 35:24 Then let the meeting of the people be judge between the man responsible for the death and him who has the right of punishment for blood, acting by these rules:	Numeri 35:24 so soll die Gemeinde richten zwischen dem, der geschlagen hat, und dem Rächer des Bluts nach diesen Rechten.
Numbers 35:25 And let the people keep the man responsible for the death safe from the hands of him who has the right of punishment for blood, and send him back to his safe town where he had gone in flight: there let him be till the death of the high priest who was marked with the holy oil.	Numeri 35:25 Und die Gemeinde soll den Totschläger erretten von der Hand des Bluträchers und soll ihn wiederkommen lassen zu der Freistadt, dahin er geflohen war; und er soll daselbst bleiben, bis daß der Hohepriester sterbe, den man mit dem heiligen Öl gesalbt hat.
Numbers 35:26 But if ever he goes outside the walls of the safe town where he had gone in flight,	Numeri 35:26 Wird aber der Totschläger aus seiner Freistadt Grenze gehen, dahin er geflohen ist,
Numbers 35:27 And the giver of punishment, meeting him outside the walls of the town, puts him to death, he will not be responsible for his blood:	Numeri 35:27 und der Bluträcher findet ihn außerhalb der Grenze seiner Freistadt und schlägt ihn tot, so soll er des Bluts nicht schuldig sein.
Numbers 35:28 Because he had been ordered to keep inside the safe town till the death of the high priest: but after the death of the high priest the taker of life may come back to the place of his heritage.	Numeri 35:28 Denn er sollte in seiner Freistadt bleiben bis an den Tod des Hohenpriesters, und nach des Hohenpriesters Tod wieder zum Lande seines Erbguts kommen.
Numbers 35:29 These rules are to be your guide in judging through all your generations wherever you may be living.	Numeri 35:29 Das soll euch ein Recht sein bei euren Nachkommen, überall, wo ihr wohnt.
Numbers 35:30 Anyone causing the death of another is himself to be put to death on the word of witnesses: but the word of one witness is not enough.	Numeri 35:30 Den Totschläger soll man töten nach dem Mund zweier Zeugen. Ein Zeuge soll nicht aussagen über eine Seele zum Tode.
Numbers 35:31 Further, no price may be given for the life of one who has taken life and whose right reward is death: he is certainly to be put to death.	Numeri 35:31 Und ihr sollt keine Versühnung nehmen für die Seele eines Totschlägers; denn er ist des Todes schuldig, und er soll des Todes sterben.
Numbers 35:32 And no price may be offered for one who has gone in flight to a safe town, for the purpose of letting him come back to his place before the death of the high priest.	Numeri 35:32 Und sollt keine Versühnung nehmen für den, der zur Freistadt geflohen ist, daß er wiederkomme, zu wohnen im Lande, bis der Priester sterbe.
Numbers 35:33 So do not make the land where you are living unholy: for blood makes the land unholy: and there is no way of making the land free from the blood which has come on it, but only by the death of him who was the cause of it.	Numeri 35:33 Und schändet das Land nicht, darin ihr wohnet; denn wer blutschuldig ist, der schändet das Land, und das Land kann vom Blut nicht versöhnt werden, das darin vergossen wird, außer durch das Blut des, der es vergossen hat.
Numbers 35:34 Do not make unclean the land where you are living and in which is my House: for I the Lord am present among the children of Israel.	Numeri 35:34 Verunreinigt das Land nicht, darin ihr wohnet, darin ich auch wohne; denn ich bin der HERR, der unter den Kindern Israel wohnt.
