Numbers 35:1 And the Lord said to Moses in the lowlands of Moab by Jordan at Jericho,	Números 35:1 Y Hablo Jehová á Moisés en los campos de Moab, junto al Jordán de Jericó, diciendo:
Numbers 35:2 Give orders to the children of Israel to give to the Levites, from the heritage which is theirs, towns for themselves, with land on the outskirts of the towns.	Números 35:2 Manda á los hijos de Israel, que den á los Levitas de la posesión de su heredad ciudades en que habiten: También daréis á los Levitas ejidos de esas ciudades alrededor de ellas.
Numbers 35:3 These towns are to be their living-places, with land round them for their cattle and their food and all their beasts,	Números 35:3 Y tendrán ellos las ciudades para habitar, y los ejidos de ellas serán para sus animales, y para sus ganados, y para todas sus bestias.
Numbers 35:4 Stretching from the wall of the towns a distance of a thousand cubits all round.	Números 35:4 Y los ejidos de las ciudades que daréis á los Levitas, serán mil codos alrededor, desde el muro de la ciudad para afuera.
Numbers 35:5 The measure of this space of land is to be two thousand cubits outside the town on the east, and two thousand cubits on the south and on the west and on the north, the town being in the middle. This space will be the outskirts of their towns.	Números 35:5 Luego mediréis fuera de la ciudad á la parte del oriente dos mil codos, y á la parte del mediodía dos mil codos, y á la parte del occidente dos mil codos, y á la parte del norte dos mil codos, y la ciudad en medio: esto tendrán por los ejidos de las ciudades.
Numbers 35:6 And the towns which you give the Levites are to be the six safe places to which the taker of life may go in flight; and in addition you are to give them forty-two towns.	Números 35:6 Y de las ciudades que daréis á los Levitas, seis ciudades serán de acogimiento, las cuales daréis para que el homicida se acoja allá: y además de éstas daréis cuarenta y dos ciudades.
Numbers 35:7 Forty-eight towns are to be given to the Levites, all with land round them.	Números 35:7 Todas las ciudades que daréis á los Levitas serán cuarenta y ocho ciudades; ellas con sus ejidos.
Numbers 35:8 And these towns are to be given out of the heritage of the children of Israel, taking the greater number from those who have much, and a smaller number from those who have little: everyone, in the measure of his heritage, is to give of his property to the Levites.	Números 35:8 Y las ciudades que diereis de la heredad de los hijos de Israel, del que mucho tomaréis mucho, y del que poco tomaréis poco: cada uno dará de sus ciudades á los Levitas según la posesión que heredará.
Numbers 35:9 And the Lord said to Moses,	Números 35:9 Y habló Jehová á Moisés, diciendo:
Numbers 35:10 Say to the children of Israel, when you have gone over Jordan into the land of Canaan;	Números 35:10 Habla á los hijos de Israel, y diles: Cuando hubiereis pasado el Jordán á la tierra de Canaán,
Numbers 35:11 Then let certain towns be marked out as safe places to which anyone who takes the life of another in error may go in flight.	Números 35:11 Os señalaréis ciudades, ciudades de acogimiento tendréis, donde huya el homicida que hiriere á alguno de muerte por yerro.
Numbers 35:12 In these towns you may be safe from him who has the right of punishment; so that death may not overtake the taker of life till he has been judged by the meeting of the people.	Números 35:12 Y os serán aquellas ciudades por acogimiento del pariente, y no morirá el homicida hasta que esté á juicio delante de la congregación.
Numbers 35:13 Six of the towns which you give will be such safe places;	Números 35:13 De las ciudades, pues, que daréis, tendréis seis ciudades de acogimiento.
Numbers 35:14 Three on the other side of Jordan and three in the land of Canaan, to be safe places for flight.	Números 35:14 Tres ciudades daréis de esta parte del Jordán, y tres ciudades daréis en la tierra de Canaán; las cuales serán ciudades de acogimiento.
Numbers 35:15 For the children of Israel and for the man from another country who is living among them, these six towns are to be safe places, where anyone causing the death of another through error may go in flight.	Números 35:15 Estas seis ciudades serán para acogimiento á los hijos de Israel, y al peregrino, y al que morare entre ellos, para que huya allá cualquiera que hiriere de muerte á otro por yerro.
Numbers 35:16 But if a man gives another man a blow with an iron instrument, causing his death, he is a taker of life and is certainly to be put to death.	Números 35:16 Y si con instrumento de hierro lo hiriere y muriere, homicida es; el homicida morirá:
Numbers 35:17 Or if he gives him a blow with a stone in his hand, causing his death, he is a taker of life and is certainly to be put to death.	Números 35:17 Y si con piedra de mano, de que pueda morir, lo hiriere, y muriere, homicida es; el homicida morirá.
Numbers 35:18 Or if he gave him blows with a wood instrument in his hands, causing his death, he is a taker of life and is certainly to be put to death.	Números 35:18 Y si con instrumento de palo de mano, de que pueda morir, lo hiriere, y muriere, homicida es; el homicida morirá.
Numbers 35:19 He whose right it is to give punishment for blood, may himself put to death the taker of life when he comes face to face with him.	Números 35:19 El pariente del muerto, él matará al homicida: cuando lo encontrare, él le matará.
Numbers 35:20 If in his hate he put a sword through him, or waiting secretly for him sent a spear or stone at him, causing his death;	Números 35:20 Y si por odio lo empujó, ó echó sobre él alguna cosa por asechanzas, y muere;
Numbers 35:21 Or in hate gave him blows with his hand, causing death; he who gave the death-blow is to be put to death; he is a taker of life: he whose right it is to give punishment for blood may put to death the taker of life when he comes face to face with him.	Números 35:21 O por enemistad lo hirió con su mano, y murió: el heridor morirá; es homicida; el pariente del muerto matará al homicida, cuando lo encontrare.
Numbers 35:22 But if a man has given a wound to another suddenly and not in hate, or without design has sent something against him,	Números 35:22 Mas si casualmente lo empujó sin enemistades, ó echó sobre él cualquier instrumento sin asechanzas,
Numbers 35:23 Or has given him a blow with a stone, without seeing him, so causing his death, though he had nothing against him and no desire to do him evil:	Números 35:23 O bien, sin verlo, hizo caer sobre él alguna piedra, de que pudo morir, y muriere, y él no era su enemigo, ni procuraba su mal;
Numbers 35:24 Then let the meeting of the people be judge between the man responsible for the death and him who has the right of punishment for blood, acting by these rules:	Números 35:24 Entonces la congregación juzgará entre el heridor y el pariente del muerto conforme á estas leyes:
Numbers 35:25 And let the people keep the man responsible for the death safe from the hands of him who has the right of punishment for blood, and send him back to his safe town where he had gone in flight: there let him be till the death of the high priest who was marked with the holy oil.	Números 35:25 Y la congregación librará al homicida de mano del pariente del muerto, y la congregación lo hará volver á su ciudad de acogimiento, á la cual se había acogido; y morará en ella hasta que muera el gran sacerdote, el cual fué ungido con el aceite santo.
Numbers 35:26 But if ever he goes outside the walls of the safe town where he had gone in flight,	Números 35:26 Y si el homicida saliere fuera del término de su ciudad de refugio, á la cual se acogió,
Numbers 35:27 And the giver of punishment, meeting him outside the walls of the town, puts him to death, he will not be responsible for his blood:	Números 35:27 Y el pariente del muerto le hayare fuera del término de la ciudad de su acogida, y el pariente del muerto al homicida matare, no se le culpará por ello:
Numbers 35:28 Because he had been ordered to keep inside the safe town till the death of the high priest: but after the death of the high priest the taker of life may come back to the place of his heritage.	Números 35:28 Pues en su ciudad de refugio deberá aquél habitar hasta que muera el gran sacerdote: y después que muriere el gran sacerdote, el homicida volverá á la tierra de su posesión.
Numbers 35:29 These rules are to be your guide in judging through all your generations wherever you may be living.	Números 35:29 Y estas cosas os serán por ordenanza de derecho por vuestras edades, en todas vuestras habitaciones.
Numbers 35:30 Anyone causing the death of another is himself to be put to death on the word of witnesses: but the word of one witness is not enough.	Números 35:30 Cualquiera que hiriere á alguno, por dicho de testigos, morirá el homicida: mas un solo testigo no hará fé contra alguna persona para que muera.
Numbers 35:31 Further, no price may be given for the life of one who has taken life and whose right reward is death: he is certainly to be put to death.	Números 35:31 Y no tomaréis precio por la vida del homicida; porque está condenado á muerte: mas indefectiblemente morirá.
Numbers 35:32 And no price may be offered for one who has gone in flight to a safe town, for the purpose of letting him come back to his place before the death of the high priest.	Números 35:32 Ni tampoco tomaréis precio del que huyó á su ciudad de refugio, para que vuelva á vivir en su tierra, hasta que muera el sacerdote.
Numbers 35:33 So do not make the land where you are living unholy: for blood makes the land unholy: and there is no way of making the land free from the blood which has come on it, but only by the death of him who was the cause of it.	Números 35:33 Y no contaminaréis la tierra donde estuviereis: porque esta sangre amancillará la tierra: y la tierra no será expiada de la sangre que fué derramada en ella, sino por la sangre del que la derramó.
Numbers 35:34 Do not make unclean the land where you are living and in which is my House: for I the Lord am present among the children of Israel.	Números 35:34 No contaminéis, pues, la tierra donde habitáis, en medio de la cual yo habito; porque yo Jehová habito en medio de los hijos de Israel.
