Jeremia 47:1 Dies ist das Wort des HERRN, das zum Propheten Jeremia geschah wider die Philister, ehe denn Pharao Gaza schlug.	Jeremiah 47:1 The word of the Lord which came to Jeremiah the prophet about the Philistines, before Pharaoh's attack on Gaza.
Jeremia 47:2 So spricht der HERR: Siehe, es kommen Wasser herauf von Mitternacht, die eine Flut machen werden und das Land und was darin ist, die Städte und die, so darin wohnen, wegreißen werden, daß die leute werden schreien und alle Einwohner im Lande heulen	Jeremiah 47:2 This is what the Lord has said: See, waters are coming up out of the north, and will become an overflowing stream, overflowing the land and everything in it, the town and those who are living in it; and men will give a cry, and all the people of the land will be crying out in pain.
Jeremia 47:3 vor dem Getümmel ihrer starken Rosse, so dahertraben, und vor dem Rasseln ihrer Wagen und Poltern ihrer Räder; daß sich die Väter nicht werden umsehen nach den Kindern, so verzagt werden sie sein	Jeremiah 47:3 At the noise of the stamping of the feet of his war-horses, at the rushing of his carriages and the thunder of his wheels, fathers will give no thought to their children, because their hands are feeble;
Jeremia 47:4 vor dem Tage, so da kommt, zu verstören alle Philister und auszureuten Tyrus und Sidon samt ihren andern Gehilfen. Denn der HERR wird die Philister, die das übrige sind aus der Insel Kaphthor, verstören.	Jeremiah 47:4 Because of the day which is coming with destruction on all the Philistines, cutting off from Tyre and Zidon the last of their helpers: for the Lord will send destruction on the Philistines, the rest of the sea-land of Caphtor.
Jeremia 47:5 Gaza wird kahl werden, und Askalon samt den übrigen in ihren Gründen wird verderbt. Wie lange ritzest du dich?	Jeremiah 47:5 The hair is cut off from the head of Gaza; Ashkelon has come to nothing; the last of the Anakim are deeply wounding themselves.
Jeremia 47:6 O du Schwert des HERRN, wann willst du doch aufhören? Fahre doch in deine Scheide und ruhe und sei still!	Jeremiah 47:6 O sword of the Lord, how long will you have no rest? put yourself back into your cover; be at peace, be quiet.
Jeremia 47:7 Aber wie kannst du aufhören, weil der HERR dir Befehl getan hat wider die Anfurt am Meer bestellt?	Jeremiah 47:7 How is it possible for it to be quiet, seeing that the Lord has given it orders? against Ashkelon and against the sea-land he has given it directions.
