Jeremia 4	Jeremiah 4
Jeremia 4:1 Willst du dich, Israel, bekehren, spricht der HERR, so bekehre dich zu mir. Und so du deine Greuel wegtust von meinem Angesicht, so sollst du nicht vertrieben werden.	Jeremiah 4:1 If you will come back, O Israel, says the Lord, you will come back to me: and if you will put away your disgusting ways, you will not be sent away from before me.
Jeremia 4:2 Alsdann wirst du ohne Heuchelei recht und heilig schwören: So wahr der HERR lebt! und die Heiden werden in ihm gesegnet werden und sich sein rühmen.	Jeremiah 4:2 And you will take your oath, By the living Lord, in good faith and wisdom and righteousness; and the nations will make use of you as a blessing, and in you will they take a pride.
Jeremia 4:3 Denn so spricht der HERR zu denen in Juda und zu Jerusalem: Pflügt ein Neues und säet nicht unter die Hecken.	Jeremiah 4:3 For this is what the Lord says to the men of Judah and to Jerusalem: Get your unworked land ploughed up, do not put in your seeds among thorns.
Jeremia 4:4 Beschneidet euch dem HERRN und tut weg die Vorhaut eures Herzens, ihr Männer in Juda und ihr Leute zu Jerusalem, auf daß nicht mein Grimm ausfahre wie Feuer und brenne, daß niemand löschen könne, um eurer Bosheit willen.	Jeremiah 4:4 Undergo a circumcision of the heart, you men of Judah and people of Jerusalem: or my wrath may come out like fire, burning so that no one is able to put it out, because of the evil of your doings.
Jeremia 4:5 Verkündiget in Juda und schreiet laut zu Jerusalem und sprecht: "Blaset die Drommete im Lande!" Ruft mit voller Stimme und sprecht: "Sammelt euch und laßt uns in die festen Städte ziehen!"	Jeremiah 4:5 Say openly in Judah, give it out in Jerusalem, and say, Let the horn be sounded in the land: crying out in a loud voice, Come together, and let us go into the walled towns.
Jeremia 4:6 Werft zu Zion ein Panier auf; flieht und säumt nicht! Denn ich bringe ein Unglück herzu von Mitternacht und einen großen Jammer.	Jeremiah 4:6 Put up a flag for a sign to Zion: go in flight so that you may be safe, waiting no longer: for I will send evil from the north, and a great destruction.
Jeremia 4:7 Es fährt daher der Löwe aus seiner Hecke, und der Verstörer der Heiden zieht einher aus seinem Ort, daß er dein Land verwüste und deine Städte ausbrenne, daß niemand darin wohne.	Jeremiah 4:7 A lion has gone up from his secret place in the woods, and one who makes waste the nations is on his way; he has gone out from his place, to make your land unpeopled, so that your towns will be made waste, with no man living in them.
Jeremia 4:8 Darum ziehet Säcke an, klaget und heulet; denn der grimmige Zorn des HERRN will sich nicht wenden von uns.	Jeremiah 4:8 For this put on haircloth, with weeping and loud crying: for the burning wrath of the Lord is not turned back from us.
Jeremia 4:9 Zu der Zeit, spricht der HERR, wird dem König und den Fürsten das Herz entfallen; die Priester werden bestürzt und die Propheten erschrocken sein.	Jeremiah 4:9 And it will come about in that day, says the Lord, that the heart of the king will be dead in him, and the hearts of the rulers; and the priests will be overcome with fear, and the prophets with wonder.
Jeremia 4:10 Ich aber sprach: Ach HERR HERR! du hast's diesem Volk und Jerusalem weit fehlgehen lassen, da sie sagten: "Es wird Friede mit euch sein", so doch das Schwert bis an die Seele reicht.	Jeremiah 4:10 Then said I, Ah, Lord God! your words were not true when you said to this people and to Jerusalem, You will have peace; when the sword has come even to the soul.
Jeremia 4:11 Zu derselben Zeit wird man diesem Volk und Jerusalem sagen: "Es kommt ein dürrer Wind über das Gebirge her aus der Wüste, des Weges zu der Tochter meines Volks, nicht zum Worfeln noch zu Schwingen."	Jeremiah 4:11 At that time it will be said to this people and to Jerusalem, A burning wind from the open hilltops in the waste land is blowing on the daughter of my people, not for separating or cleaning the grain;
Jeremia 4:12 Ja, ein Wind kommt, der ihnen zu stark sein wird; da will ich denn auch mit ihnen rechten.	Jeremiah 4:12 A full wind will come for me: and now I will give my decision against them.
Jeremia 4:13 Siehe, er fährt daher wie Wolken, und seine Wagen sind wie Sturmwind, seine Rosse sind schneller denn Adler. Weh uns! wir müssen verstört werden."	Jeremiah 4:13 See, he will come up like the clouds, and his war-carriages like the storm-wind: his horses are quicker than eagles. Sorrow is ours, for destruction has come on us.
Jeremia 4:14 So wasche nun, Jerusalem, dein Herz von der Bosheit, auf daß dir geholfen werde. Wie lange wollen bei dir bleiben deine leidigen Gedanken?	Jeremiah 4:14 O Jerusalem, make your heart clean from evil, so that you may have salvation. How long are evil purposes to have a resting-place in you?
Jeremia 4:15 Denn es kommt ein Geschrei von Dan her und eine böse Botschaft vom Gebirge Ephraim.	Jeremiah 4:15 For a voice is sounding from Dan, giving out evil from the hills of Ephraim:
Jeremia 4:16 Saget an den Heiden, verkündiget in Jerusalem, daß Hüter kommen aus fernen Landen und werden schreien wider die Städte Juda's.	Jeremiah 4:16 Make this come to the minds of the nations, make a statement openly against Jerusalem, that attackers are coming from a far country and their voices will be loud against the towns of Judah.
Jeremia 4:17 Sie werden sich um sie her lagern wie die Hüter auf dem Felde; denn sie haben mich erzürnt, spricht der HERR.	Jeremiah 4:17 Like keepers of a field they are against her on every side; because she has been fighting against me, says the Lord.
Jeremia 4:18 Das hast du zum Lohn für dein Wesen und dein Tun. Dann wird dein Herz fühlen, wie deine Bosheit so groß ist.	Jeremiah 4:18 Your ways and your doings have made these things come on you; this is your sin; truly it is bitter, going deep into your heart.
Jeremia 4:19 Wie ist mir so herzlich weh! Mein Herz pocht mir im Leibe, und habe keine Ruhe; denn meine Seele hört der Posaunen Hall und eine Feldschlacht	Jeremiah 4:19 My soul, my soul! I am pained to my inmost heart; my heart is troubled in me; I am not able to be quiet, because the sound of the horn, the note of war, has come to my ears.
Jeremia 4:20 und einen Mordschrei über den andern; denn das ganze Land wird verheert, plötzlich werden meine Hütten und meine Gezelte verstört.	Jeremiah 4:20 News is given of destruction on destruction; all the land is made waste: suddenly my tents, straight away my curtains, are made waste.
Jeremia 4:21 Wie lange soll ich doch das Panier sehen und der Posaune Hall hören?	Jeremiah 4:21 How long will I go on seeing the flag and hearing the sound of the war-horn?
Jeremia 4:22 Aber mein Volk ist toll, und sie glauben mir nicht; töricht sind sie und achten's nicht. Weise sind sie genug, Übles zu tun; aber wohltun wollen sie nicht lernen.	Jeremiah 4:22 For my people are foolish, they have no knowledge of me; they are evil-minded children, without sense, all of them: they are wise in evil-doing, but have no knowledge of doing good.
Jeremia 4:23 Ich schaute das Land an, siehe, das war wüst und öde, und den Himmel, und er war finster.	Jeremiah 4:23 Looking at the earth, I saw that it was waste and without form; and to the heavens, that they had no light.
Jeremia 4:24 Ich sah die Berge an, und siehe, die bebten, und alle Hügel zitterten.	Jeremiah 4:24 Looking at the mountains, I saw them shaking, and all the hills were moved about.
Jeremia 4:25 Ich sah, und siehe, da war kein Mensch, und alle Vögel unter dem Himmel waren weggeflogen.	Jeremiah 4:25 Looking, I saw that there was no man, and all the birds of heaven had gone in flight.
Jeremia 4:26 Ich sah, und siehe, das Gefilde war eine Wüste; und alle Städte darin waren zerbrochen vor dem HERRN und vor seinem grimmigen Zorn.	Jeremiah 4:26 Looking, I saw that the fertile field was a waste, and all its towns were broken down before the Lord and before his burning wrath.
Jeremia 4:27 Denn so spricht der HERR: Das ganze Land soll wüst werden, und ich will's doch nicht gar aus machen.	Jeremiah 4:27 For this is what the Lord has said: All the land will become a waste; I will make destruction complete.
Jeremia 4:28 Darum wird das Land betrübt und der Himmel droben traurig sein; denn ich habe es geredet, ich habe es beschlossen, und es soll mich nicht reuen, will auch nicht davon ablassen.	Jeremiah 4:28 The earth will be weeping for this, and the heavens on high will be black: because I have said it, and I will not go back from it; it is my purpose, and it will not be changed.
Jeremia 4:29 Aus allen Städten werden sie vor dem Geschrei der Reiter und Schützen fliehen und in die dicken Wälder laufen und in die Felsen kriechen; alle Städte werden verlassen stehen, daß niemand darin wohnt.	Jeremiah 4:29 All the land is in flight because of the noise of the horsemen and the bowmen; they have taken cover in the woodland and up on the rocks: every town has been given up, not a man is living in them.
Jeremia 4:30 Was willst du alsdann tun, du Verstörte? Wenn du dich schon mit Purpur kleiden und mit goldenen Kleinoden schmücken und dein Angesicht schminken würdest, so schmückst du dich doch vergeblich; die Buhlen werden dich verachten, sie werden dir nach dem Leben trachten.	Jeremiah 4:30 And you, when you are made waste, what will you do? Though you are clothed in red, though you make yourself beautiful with ornaments of gold, though you make your eyes wide with paint, it is for nothing that you make yourself fair; your lovers have no more desire for you, they have designs on your life.
Jeremia 4:31 Denn ich höre ein Geschrei als einer Gebärerin, eine Angst als einer, die in den ersten Kindesnöten ist, ein Geschrei der Tochter Zion, die da klagt und die Hände auswirft: "Ach, wehe mir! Ich muß fast vergehen vor den Würgern."	Jeremiah 4:31 A voice has come to my ears like the voice of a woman in birth-pains, the pain of one giving birth to her first child, the voice of the daughter of Zion, fighting for breath, stretching out her hands, saying, Now sorrow is mine! for my strength is gone from me before the takers of life.
