Epheser 5	Ephesians 5
Epheser 5:1 So seid nun Gottes Nachfolger als die lieben Kinder	Ephesians 5:1 Let it then be your desire to be like God, as well-loved children;
Epheser 5:2 und wandelt in der Liebe, gleichwie Christus uns hat geliebt und sich selbst dargegeben für uns als Gabe und Opfer, Gott zu einem süßen Geruch.	Ephesians 5:2 And be living in love, even as Christ had love for you, and gave himself up for us, an offering to God for a perfume of a sweet smell.
Epheser 5:3 Hurerei aber und alle Unreinigkeit oder Geiz lasset nicht von euch gesagt werden, wie den Heiligen zusteht,	Ephesians 5:3 But evil acts of the flesh and all unclean things, or desire for others' property, let it not even be named among you, as is right for saints;
Epheser 5:4 auch nicht schandbare Worte und Narrenteidinge oder Scherze, welche euch nicht ziemen, sondern vielmehr Danksagung.	Ephesians 5:4 And let there be no low behaviour, or foolish talk, or words said in sport, which are not right, but in place of them the giving of praise.
Epheser 5:5 Denn das sollt ihr wissen, daß kein Hurer oder Unreiner oder Geiziger, welcher ist ein Götzendiener, Erbe hat in dem Reich Christi und Gottes.	Ephesians 5:5 Being certain of this, that no man who gives way to the passions of the flesh, no unclean person, or one who has desire for the property of others, or who gives worship to images, has any heritage in the kingdom of Christ and God.
Epheser 5:6 Lasset euch niemand verführen mit vergeblichen Worten; denn um dieser Dinge willen kommt der Zorn Gottes über die Kinder des Unglaubens.	Ephesians 5:6 Do not be turned from the right way by foolish words; for because of these things the punishment of God comes on those who do not put themselves under him.
Epheser 5:7 Darum seid nicht ihr Mitgenossen.	Ephesians 5:7 Have no part with such men;
Epheser 5:8 Denn ihr waret weiland Finsternis; nun aber seid ihr ein Licht in dem HERRN.	Ephesians 5:8 For you at one time were dark, but now are light in the Lord: let your behaviour be that of children of light
Epheser 5:9 Wandelt wie die Kinder des Lichts, die Frucht des Geistes ist allerlei Gütigkeit und Gerechtigkeit und Wahrheit,	Ephesians 5:9 (Because the fruit of the light is in all righteousness and in everything which is good and true),
Epheser 5:10 und prüfet, was da sei wohlgefällig dem HERRN.	Ephesians 5:10 Testing by experience what is well-pleasing to the Lord;
Epheser 5:11 und habt nicht Gemeinschaft mit den unfruchtbaren Werken der Finsternis, strafet sie aber vielmehr.	Ephesians 5:11 And have no company with the works of the dark, which give no fruit, but make their true quality clear;
Epheser 5:12 Denn was heimlich von ihnen geschieht, das ist auch zu sagen schändlich.	Ephesians 5:12 For the things which are done by them in secret it is shame even to put into words.
Epheser 5:13 Das alles aber wird offenbar, wenn's vom Licht gestraft wird; denn alles, was offenbar ist, das ist Licht.	Ephesians 5:13 But all things, when their true quality is seen, are made clear by the light: because everything which is made clear is light.
Epheser 5:14 Darum heißt es: "Wache auf, der du schläfst, und stehe auf von den Toten, so wird dich Christus erleuchten."	Ephesians 5:14 For this reason he says, Be awake, you who are sleeping, and come up from among the dead, and Christ will be your light.
Epheser 5:15 So sehet nun zu, wie ihr vorsichtig wandelt, nicht als die Unweisen, sondern als die Weisen,	Ephesians 5:15 Take care then how you are living, not as unwise, but as wise;
Epheser 5:16 und kaufet die Zeit aus; denn es ist böse Zeit.	Ephesians 5:16 Making good use of the time, because the days are evil.
Epheser 5:17 Darum werdet nicht unverständig, sondern verständig, was da sei des HERRN Wille.	Ephesians 5:17 For this reason, then, do not be foolish, but be conscious of the Lord's pleasure.
Epheser 5:18 Und saufet euch nicht voll Wein, daraus ein unordentlich Wesen folgt, sondern werdet voll Geistes:	Ephesians 5:18 And do not take overmuch wine by which one may be overcome, but be full of the Spirit;
Epheser 5:19 redet untereinander in Psalmen und Lobgesängen und geistlichen Liedern, singet und spielet dem HERRN in eurem Herzen	Ephesians 5:19 Joining with one another in holy songs of praise and of the Spirit, using your voice in songs and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
Epheser 5:20 und saget Dank allezeit für alles Gott und dem Vater in dem Namen unsers HERRN Jesu Christi,	Ephesians 5:20 Giving praise at all times for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to God, even the Father;
Epheser 5:21 und seid untereinander untertan in der Furcht Gottes.	Ephesians 5:21 Letting yourselves be ruled by one another in the fear of Christ.
Epheser 5:22 Die Weiber seien untertan ihren Männern als dem HERRN.	Ephesians 5:22 Wives, be under the authority of your husbands, as of the Lord.
Epheser 5:23 Denn der Mann ist des Weibes Haupt, gleichwie auch Christus das Haupt ist der Gemeinde, und er ist seines Leibes Heiland.	Ephesians 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ is the head of the church, being himself the saviour of the body.
Epheser 5:24 Aber wie nun die Gemeinde ist Christo untertan, also auch die Weiber ihren Männern in allen Dingen.	Ephesians 5:24 And as the church is under Christ's authority, so let wives be under the rule of their husbands in all things.
Epheser 5:25 Ihr Männer, liebet eure Weiber, gleichwie Christus auch geliebt hat die Gemeinde und hat sich selbst für sie gegeben,	Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, have love for your wives, even as Christ had love for the church, and gave himself for it;
Epheser 5:26 auf daß er sie heiligte, und hat sie gereinigt durch das Wasserbad im Wort,	Ephesians 5:26 So that he might make it holy, having made it clean with the washing of water by the word,
Epheser 5:27 auf daß er sie sich selbst darstellte als eine Gemeinde, die herrlich sei, die nicht habe einen Flecken oder Runzel oder des etwas, sondern daß sie heilig sei und unsträflich.	Ephesians 5:27 And might take it for himself, a church full of glory, not having one mark or fold or any such thing; but that it might be holy and complete.
Epheser 5:28 Also sollen auch die Männer ihre Weiber lieben wie ihre eigenen Leiber. Wer sein Weib liebt, der liebt sich selbst.	Ephesians 5:28 Even so it is right for husbands to have love for their wives as for their bodies. He who has love for his wife has love for himself:
Epheser 5:29 Denn niemand hat jemals sein eigen Fleisch gehaßt; sondern er nährt es und pflegt sein, gleichwie auch der HERR die Gemeinde.	Ephesians 5:29 For no man ever had hate for his flesh; but he gives it food and takes care of it, even as Christ does for the church;
Epheser 5:30 Denn wir sind die Glieder seines Leibes, von seinem Fleisch und von seinem Gebein.	Ephesians 5:30 Because we are parts of his body.
Epheser 5:31 "Um deswillen wird ein Mensch verlassen Vater und Mutter und seinem Weibe anhangen, und werden die zwei ein Fleisch sein.	Ephesians 5:31 For this cause will a man go away from his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.
Epheser 5:32 Das Geheimnis ist groß; ich sage aber von Christo und der Gemeinde.	Ephesians 5:32 This is a great secret: but my words are about Christ and the church.
Epheser 5:33 Doch auch ihr, ja ein jeglicher habe lieb sein Weib als sich selbst; das Weib aber fürchte den Mann.	Ephesians 5:33 But do you, everyone, have love for his wife, even as for himself; and let the wife see that she has respect for her husband.
