Psalms 37	Psaumes 37
Psalms 37:1 Of David. Do not be angry because of the wrongdoers, or have envy of the workers of evil.	Psaumes 37:1 De David. Ne t`irrite pas contre les méchants, N`envie pas ceux qui font le mal.
Psalms 37:2 For they will quickly be cut down like grass, and become dry like the green plants.	Psaumes 37:2 Car ils sont fauchés aussi vite que l`herbe, Et ils se flétrissent comme le gazon vert.
Psalms 37:3 Have faith in the Lord, and do good; be at rest in the land, and go after righteousness.	Psaumes 37:3 Confie-toi en l`Éternel, et pratique le bien; Aie le pays pour demeure et la fidélité pour pâture.
Psalms 37:4 So will your delight be in the Lord, and he will give you your heart's desires.	Psaumes 37:4 Fais de l`Éternel tes délices, Et il te donnera ce que ton coeur désire.
Psalms 37:5 Put your life in the hands of the Lord; have faith in him and he will do it.	Psaumes 37:5 Recommande ton sort à l`Éternel, Mets en lui ta confiance, et il agira.
Psalms 37:6 And he will make your righteousness be seen like the light, and your cause like the shining of the sun.	Psaumes 37:6 Il fera paraître ta justice comme la lumière, Et ton droit comme le soleil à son midi.
Psalms 37:7 Take your rest in the Lord, waiting quietly for him; do not be angry because of the man who does well in his evil ways, and gives effect to his bad designs.	Psaumes 37:7 Garde le silence devant l`Éternel, et espère en lui; Ne t`irrite pas contre celui qui réussit dans ses voies, Contre l`homme qui vient à bout de ses mauvais desseins.
Psalms 37:8 Put an end to your wrath and be no longer bitter; do not give way to angry feeling which is a cause of sin.	Psaumes 37:8 Laisse la colère, abandonne la fureur; Ne t`irrite pas, ce serait mal faire.
Psalms 37:9 For the evil-doers will be cut off: but those who have faith in the Lord will have the earth for their heritage.	Psaumes 37:9 Car les méchants seront retranchés, Et ceux qui espèrent en l`Éternel posséderont le pays.
Psalms 37:10 For in a short time the evil-doer will be gone: you will go searching for his place, and it will not be there.	Psaumes 37:10 Encore un peu de temps, et le méchant n`est plus; Tu regardes le lieu où il était, et il a disparu.
Psalms 37:11 But the gentle will have the earth for their heritage; they will take their delight in peace without measure.	Psaumes 37:11 Les misérables possèdent le pays, Et ils jouissent abondamment de la paix.
Psalms 37:12 The sinner has evil designs against the upright, lifting up the voice of wrath against him.	Psaumes 37:12 Le méchant forme des projets contre le juste, Et il grince des dents contre lui.
Psalms 37:13 He will be laughed at by the Lord, who sees that his day is coming.	Psaumes 37:13 Le Seigneur se rit du méchant, Car il voit que son jour arrive.
Psalms 37:14 The evil-doers have taken out their swords, their bows are bent; for crushing the poor, and to put to death those who are upright in their ways.	Psaumes 37:14 Les méchants tirent le glaive, Ils bandent leur arc, Pour faire tomber le malheureux et l`indigent, Pour égorger ceux dont la voie est droite.
Psalms 37:15 But their swords will be turned into their hearts, and their bows will be broken.	Psaumes 37:15 Leur glaive entre dans leur propre coeur, Et leurs arcs se brisent.
Psalms 37:16 The little which the good man has is better than the wealth of evil-doers.	Psaumes 37:16 Mieux vaut le peu du juste Que l`abondance de beaucoup de méchants;
Psalms 37:17 For the arms of the evil-doers will be broken: but the Lord is the support of the good.	Psaumes 37:17 Car les bras des méchants seront brisés, Mais l`Éternel soutient les justes.
Psalms 37:18 The days of the upright are numbered by the Lord, and their heritage will be for ever.	Psaumes 37:18 L`Éternel connaît les jours des hommes intègres, Et leur héritage dure à jamais.
Psalms 37:19 They will not be shamed in the evil time, and in the days when all are in need of food they will have enough.	Psaumes 37:19 Ils ne sont pas confondus au temps du malheur, Et ils sont rassasiés aux jours de la famine.
Psalms 37:20 But the wrongdoers will come to destruction, and the haters of the Lord will be like the fat of lambs, they will be burned up; they will go up in smoke, and never again be seen.	Psaumes 37:20 Mais les méchants périssent, Et les ennemis de l`Éternel, comme les plus beaux pâturages; Ils s`évanouissent, ils s`évanouissent en fumée.
Psalms 37:21 The sinner takes money and does not give it back; but the upright man has mercy, and gives to others.	Psaumes 37:21 Le méchant emprunte, et il ne rend pas; Le juste est compatissant, et il donne.
Psalms 37:22 Those who have his blessing will have the earth for their heritage; but those who are cursed by him will be cut off.	Psaumes 37:22 Car ceux que bénit l`Éternel possèdent le pays, Et ceux qu`il maudit sont retranchés.
Psalms 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and he takes delight in his way.	Psaumes 37:23 L`Éternel affermit les pas de l`homme, Et il prend plaisir à sa voie;
Psalms 37:24 Even if he has a fall he will not be without help: for the hand of the Lord is supporting him.	Psaumes 37:24 S`il tombe, il n`est pas terrassé, Car l`Éternel lui prend la main.
Psalms 37:25 I have been young, and now am old, but I have not seen the good man without help, or his children looking for bread.	Psaumes 37:25 J`ai été jeune, j`ai vieilli; Et je n`ai point vu le juste abandonné, Ni sa postérité mendiant son pain.
Psalms 37:26 All the day he is ready to have mercy and to give; his children are a blessing.	Psaumes 37:26 Toujours il est compatissant, et il prête; Et sa postérité est bénie.
Psalms 37:27 Be turned from evil, and do good; and your place will be for ever.	Psaumes 37:27 Détourne-toi du mal, fais le bien, Et possède à jamais ta demeure.
Psalms 37:28 For the Lord is a lover of righteousness, and takes care of his saints; they will be kept safe for ever; but the seed of the evil-doers will be cut off.	Psaumes 37:28 Car l`Éternel aime la justice, Et il n`abandonne pas ses fidèles; Ils sont toujours sous sa garde, Mais la postérité des méchants est retranchée.
Psalms 37:29 The upright will have the earth for their heritage, and will go on living there for ever.	Psaumes 37:29 Les justes posséderont le pays, Et ils y demeureront à jamais.
Psalms 37:30 The mouth of the good man says words of wisdom; the talk of his tongue is of righteousness.	Psaumes 37:30 La bouche du juste annonce la sagesse, Et sa langue proclame la justice.
Psalms 37:31 The law of his God is in his heart; he will never make a false step.	Psaumes 37:31 La loi de son Dieu est dans son coeur; Ses pas ne chancellent point.
Psalms 37:32 The sinners are watching the upright man, desiring to put him to death.	Psaumes 37:32 Le méchant épie le juste, Et il cherche à le faire mourir.
Psalms 37:33 The Lord will not give him into their hands, or be against him when he is judged.	Psaumes 37:33 L`Éternel ne le laisse pas entre ses mains, Et il ne le condamne pas quand il est en jugement.
Psalms 37:34 Be waiting for the Lord, and keep his way; and you will be lifted up, and have the land for your heritage: when the evil-doers are cut off, you will see it.	Psaumes 37:34 Espère en l`Éternel, garde sa voie, Et il t`élèvera pour que tu possèdes le pays; Tu verras les méchants retranchés.
Psalms 37:35 I have seen the evil-doer in great power, covering the earth like a great tree.	Psaumes 37:35 J`ai vu le méchant dans toute sa puissance; Il s`étendait comme un arbre verdoyant.
Psalms 37:36 But he came to an end, and there was no sign of him; I made a search for him and he was not there.	Psaumes 37:36 Il a passé, et voici, il n`est plus; Je le cherche, et il ne se trouve plus.
Psalms 37:37 Give attention to the good man, and take note of the upright; because the end of that man is peace.	Psaumes 37:37 Observe celui qui est intègre, et regarde celui qui est droit; Car il y a une postérité pour l`homme de paix.
Psalms 37:38 But as for the sinners, they will be cut off together; the end of the wrongdoers is destruction.	Psaumes 37:38 Mais les rebelles sont tous anéantis, La postérité des méchants est retranchée.
Psalms 37:39 But the Lord is the saviour of the upright: he is their strength in the time of trouble.	Psaumes 37:39 Le salut des justes vient de l`Éternel; Il est leur protecteur au temps de la détresse.
Psalms 37:40 And the Lord will be their help, and keep them safe: he will take them out of the hands of the evil-doers, and be their saviour, because they had faith in him.	Psaumes 37:40 L`Éternel les secourt et les délivre; Il les délivre des méchants et les sauve, Parce qu`ils cherchent en lui leur refuge.
