| Gánh nặng lời Đức Giê-hô-va phán về Y-sơ-ra-ên. Đức Giê-hô-va là Đấng giương các từng trời, lập nền của đất, và tạo thần trong mình người ta, có phán như vầy: | The word of the Lord about Israel. The Lord by whom the heavens are stretched out and the bases of the earth put in place, and the spirit of man formed inside him, has said: |
| Nầy, ta sẽ khiến Giê-ru-sa-lem làm chén xây xẩm cho mọi dân chung quanh; và khi Giê-ru-sa-lem bị vây, tai nạn sẽ cũng kịp đến Giu-đa. | See, I will make Jerusalem a cup of shaking fear to all the peoples round about, when Jerusalem is shut in. |
| Xảy ra trong ngày đó, ta sẽ khiến Giê-ru-sa-lem làm hòn đá nặng cho các dân tộc. Phàm những kẻ mang nó sẽ bị thương nặng; và mọi nước trên đất sẽ nhóm lại nghịch cùng nó. | And it will come about in that day that I will make Jerusalem a stone of great weight for all the peoples; all those who take it up will be badly wounded; and all the nations of the earth will come together against it. |
| Đức Giê-hô-va phán: Trong ngày đó, ta sẽ đánh mỗi con ngựa cho kinh hãi, những kẻ cỡi nó phải điên cuồng; ta sẽ mở mắt ta trên nhà Giu-đa, và đánh mỗi con ngựa của các dân cho đui đi. | In that day, says the Lord, I will put fear into every horse and make every horseman go off his head: and my eyes will be open on the people of Judah, and I will make every horse of the peoples blind. |
| Bấy giờ các trưởng Giu-đa sẽ nói trong lòng mình rằng: Những dân cư Giê-ru-sa-lem là sức mạnh của ta trong Đức Giê-hô-va vạn quân, là Đức Chúa Trời mình. | And the families of Judah will say in their hearts, The people of Jerusalem have their strength in the Lord of armies, their God. |
| Trong ngày đó, ta sẽ làm cho các trưởng Giu-đa giống như một bếp lửa ở giữa những bó lúa, chúng nó sẽ thiêu nuốt bên hữu và bên tả hết thảy các dân tộc xung quanh; và dân cư Giê-ru-sa-lem sẽ lại còn ỡ chỗ mình, tức là Giê-ru-sa-lem. | In that day I will make the families of Judah like a pot with fire in it among trees, and like a flaming stick among cut grain; they will send destruction on all the peoples round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem will be living again in the place which is hers, that is, in Jerusalem. |
| Đức Giê-hô-va trước hết sẽ cứu những trại của Giu-đa, hầu cho sự vinh hiển của nhà Đa-vít và sự vinh hiển của dân cư Giê-ru-sa-lem không dấy lên trên Giu-đa được. | And the Lord will give salvation to the tents of Judah first, so that the glory of the family of David and the glory of the people of Jerusalem may not be greater than that of Judah. |
| Trong ngày đó, Đức Giê-hô-va sẽ làm Đấng bảo hộ của dân cư Giê-ru-sa-lem, và trong ngày đó kẻ rất yếu trong chúng nó sẽ như Đa-vít, nhà Đa-vít sẽ như Đức Chúa Trời, sẽ như thiên sứ của Đức Giê-hô-va ở trước mặt chúng nó. | In that day the Lord will be a cover over the people of Jerusalem; and he who is feeble among them in that day will be as strong as David, and the family of David will be as God, as the angel of the Lord before them. |
| Xảy ra trong ngày đó ta sẽ tìm cách hủy diệt hết thảy những nước nào đến đánh Giê-ru-sa-lem. | And it will come about on that day that I will take in hand the destruction of all the nations who come against Jerusalem. |
| Ta sẽ đổ thần của ơn phước và của sự nài xin ra trên nhà Đa-vít, và trên dân cư Giê-ru-sa-lem; chúng nó sẽ nhìn xem ta là Đấng chúng nó đã đâm; và chúng nó sẽ thương khóc, như là thương khóc con trai một, sẽ ở trong sự cay đắng vì cớ con đầu lòng. | And I will send down on the family of David and on the people of Jerusalem the spirit of grace and of prayer; and their eyes will be turned to the one who was wounded by their hands: and they will be weeping for him as for an only son, and their grief for him will be bitter, like the grief of one sorrowing for his oldest son. |
| Trong ngày đó, sẽ có sự thương khóc lớn tại Giê-ru-sa-lem, như là sự thương khóc của Ha-đát-Rim-môn ở trong đồng bằng Mê-ghi-đô. | In that day there will be a great weeping in Jerusalem, like the weeping of Hadad-rimmon in the valley of Megiddon. |
| Đất nầy sẽ thương khóc, mỗi họ riêng phần mình: họ của nhà Đa-vít riêng ra, những vợ chúng nó riêng ra; họ của nhà Na-than riêng ra, những vợ chúng nó riêng ra; | And the land will give itself to weeping, every family separately; the family of David by themselves, and their wives by themselves; the family of Nathan by themselves, and their wives by themselves; |
| họ của nhà Lê-vi riêng ra, những vợ chúng nó riêng ra; Họ Si-mê -y riêng ra, những vợ chúng nó riêng ra; | The family of Levi by themselves, and their wives by themselves; the family of Shimei by themselves, and their wives by themselves; |
| phàm những họ còn sót lại, mỗi họ riêng ra, và những vợ chúng nó riêng ra. | And all the other families by themselves, and their wives by themselves. |
