Neemia 9	Nehemiah 9
Neemia 9:1 Or il ventiquattresimo giorno dello stesso mese, i figliuoli d’Israele si radunarono, vestiti di sacco e coperti di terra, per celebrare un digiuno.	Nehemiah 9:1 Now on the twenty-fourth day of this month the children of Israel came together, taking no food and putting haircloth and dust on their bodies.
Neemia 9:2 Quelli che appartenevano alla progenie d’Israele si separarono da tutti gli stranieri, si presentarono dinanzi a Dio, e confessarono i loro peccati e le iniquità dei loro padri.	Nehemiah 9:2 And the seed of Israel made themselves separate from all the men of other nations, publicly requesting forgiveness for their sins and the wrongdoing of their fathers.
Neemia 9:3 S’alzarono in piè nel posto dove si trovavano, e fu fatta la lettura del libro della legge dell’Eterno, del loro Dio, per un quarto del giorno; e per un altro quarto essi fecero la confessione de’ peccati, e si prostrarono davanti all’Eterno, al loro Dio.	Nehemiah 9:3 And for a fourth part of the day, upright in their places, they were reading from the book of the law of their God; and for a fourth part of the day they were requesting forgiveness and worshipping the Lord their God.
Neemia 9:4 Jeshua, Bani, Kadmiel, Scebania, Bunni, Scerebia, Bani e Kenani salirono sulla tribuna dei Leviti e gridarono ad alta voce all’Eterno, al loro Dio.	Nehemiah 9:4 Then Jeshua, and Bani, Kadmiel, Shebaniah, Bunni, Sherebiah, Bani, and Chenani took their places on the steps of the Levites, crying in a loud voice to the Lord their God.
Neemia 9:5 E i Leviti Jeshua, Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabneia, Scerebia, Hodia, Scebania e Pethahia dissero: "Levatevi e benedite l’Eterno, il vostro Dio, d’eternità in eternità! Si benedica il nome tuo glorioso, ch’è esaltato al disopra d’ogni benedizione e d’ogni lode!	Nehemiah 9:5 Then the Levites, Jeshua, and Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabneiah, Sherebiah, Hodiah, Shebaniah, and Pethahiah said, Get up and give praise to the Lord your God for ever and ever. Praise be to your great name which is lifted up high over all blessing and praise.
Neemia 9:6 Tu, tu solo sei l’Eterno! tu hai fatto i cieli, i cieli de’ cieli e tutto il loro esercito, la terra e tutto ciò che sta sovr’essa, i mari e tutto ciò ch’è in essi, e tu fai vivere tutte queste cose, e l’esercito de’ cieli t’adora.	Nehemiah 9:6 You are the Lord, even you only; you have made heaven, the heaven of heavens with all their armies, the earth and all things in it, the seas and everything in them; and you keep them from destruction: and the armies of heaven are your worshippers.
Neemia 9:7 Tu sei l’Eterno, l’Iddio che scegliesti Abramo, lo traesti fuori da Ur de’ Caldei, e gli desti il nome d’Abrahamo;	Nehemiah 9:7 You are the Lord, the God, who took Abram and made him yours, guiding him from Ur of the Chaldees, and gave him the name of Abraham;
Neemia 9:8 tu trovasti il cuor suo fedele davanti a te, e fermasti con lui un patto, promettendogli di dare alla sua progenie il paese de’ Cananei, degli Hittei, degli Amorei, de’ Ferezei, de’ Gebusei e de’ Ghirgasei; tu hai mantenuta la tua parola, perché sei giusto.	Nehemiah 9:8 You saw that his heart was true to you, and made an agreement with him to give the land of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite and the Perizzite and the Jebusite and the Girgashite, even to give it to his seed, and you have done what you said; for righteousness is yours:
Neemia 9:9 Tu vedesti l’afflizione de’ nostri padri in Egitto e udisti il loro grido presso il mar Rosso;	Nehemiah 9:9 And you saw the trouble of our fathers in Egypt, and their cry came to your ears by the Red Sea;
Neemia 9:10 e operasti miracoli e prodigi contro Faraone, contro tutti i suoi servi, contro tutto il popolo del suo paese, perché sapevi ch’essi aveano trattato i nostri padri con prepotenza; e ti facesti un nome com’è quello che hai al dì d’oggi.	Nehemiah 9:10 And you did signs and wonders on Pharaoh and all his servants and all the people of his land; for you saw how cruel they were to them. So you got yourself a name as it is today.
Neemia 9:11 E fendesti il mare davanti a loro, sì che passarono per mezzo al mare sull’asciutto; e quelli che l’inseguivano tu li precipitasti nell’abisso, come una pietra in fondo ad acque potenti.	Nehemiah 9:11 By you the sea was parted before them, so that they went through the sea on dry land; and those who went after them went down into the deep, like a stone into great waters.
Neemia 9:12 E li conducesti di giorno con una colonna di nuvola, e di notte con una colonna di fuoco per rischiarar loro la via per la quale dovean camminare.	Nehemiah 9:12 And you went before them by day in a pillar of cloud, and in a pillar of fire by night, to give them light on the way they were to go.
Neemia 9:13 E scendesti sul monte Sinai e parlasti con loro dal cielo e desti loro prescrizioni giuste e leggi di verità, buoni precetti e buoni comandamenti;	Nehemiah 9:13 And you came down on Mount Sinai, and your voice came to them from heaven, giving them right decisions and true laws, good rules and orders:
Neemia 9:14 e facesti loro conoscere il tuo santo sabato, e desti loro comandamenti, precetti e una legge per mezzo di Mosè, tuo servo;	Nehemiah 9:14 And you gave them word of your holy Sabbath, and gave them orders and rules and a law, by the hand of Moses your servant:
Neemia 9:15 e desti loro pane dal cielo quand’erano affamati, e facesti scaturire acqua dalla rupe quand’erano assetati, e dicesti loro che andassero a prender possesso del paese che avevi giurato di dar loro.	Nehemiah 9:15 And you gave them bread from heaven when they were in need, and made water come out of the rock for their drink, and gave them orders to go in and take for their heritage the land which your hand had been lifted up to give them.
Neemia 9:16 Ma essi, i nostri padri, si condussero con superbia, indurarono le loro cervici, e non ubbidirono ai tuoi comandamenti;	Nehemiah 9:16 But they and our fathers, in their pride, made their necks stiff, and gave no attention to your orders,
Neemia 9:17 rifiutarono d’ubbidire, e non si ricordarono delle maraviglie che tu avevi fatte a pro loro; indurarono le loro cervici; e, nella loro ribellione, si vollero dare un capo per tornare alla loro schiavitù. Ma tu sei un Dio pronto a perdonare, misericordioso, pieno di compassione, lento all’ira e di gran benignità, e non li abbandonasti.	Nehemiah 9:17 And would not do them, and gave no thought to the wonders you had done among them; but made their necks stiff, and turning away from you, made a captain over themselves to take them back to their prison in Egypt: but you are a God of forgiveness, full of grace and pity, slow to wrath and great in mercy, and you did not give them up.
Neemia 9:18 Neppure quando si fecero un vitello di getto e dissero: Ecco il tuo Dio che t’ha tratto fuori dall’Egitto! e t’oltraggiarono gravemente,	Nehemiah 9:18 Even when they had made for themselves an ox of metal, and said, This is your God who took you up out of Egypt, and had done so much to make you angry;
Neemia 9:19 tu nella tua immensa misericordia, non li abbandonasti nel deserto: la colonna di nuvola che stava su loro non cessò di guidarli durante il giorno per il loro cammino, e la colonna di fuoco non cessò di rischiarar loro la via per la quale doveano camminare.	Nehemiah 9:19 Even then, in your great mercy, you did not give them up in the waste land: the pillar of cloud still went before them by day, guiding them on their way, and the pillar of fire by night, to give them light, and make clear the way they were to go.
Neemia 9:20 E desti loro il tuo buono spirito per istruirli, e non rifiutasti la tua manna alle loro bocche, e desti loro dell’acqua quand’erano assetati.	Nehemiah 9:20 And you gave your good spirit to be their teacher, and did not keep back your manna from their mouths, and gave them water when they had need of it.
Neemia 9:21 Per quarant’anni li sostentasti nel deserto, e non mancò loro nulla; le loro vesti non si logorarono e i loro piedi non si gonfiarono.	Nehemiah 9:21 Truly, for forty years you were their support in the waste land, and they were in need of nothing; their clothing did not get old or their feet become tired.
Neemia 9:22 E desti loro regni e popoli, e li spartisti fra loro per contrade; ed essi possedettero il paese di Sihon, cioè il paese del re di Heshbon, e il paese di Og re di Bashan.	Nehemiah 9:22 And you gave them kingdoms and peoples, making distribution to them in every part of the land: so they took for their heritage the land of Sihon, even the land of the king of Heshbon, and the land of Og, king of Bashan.
Neemia 9:23 E moltiplicasti i loro figliuoli come le stelle del cielo, e li introducesti nel paese in cui avevi detto ai padri loro che li faresti entrare per possederlo.	Nehemiah 9:23 And you made their children as great in number as the stars of heaven, and took them into the land, of which you had said to their fathers that they were to go in and take it for themselves.
Neemia 9:24 E i loro figliuoli v’entrarono e presero possesso del paese; tu umiliasti dinanzi a loro i Cananei che abitavano il paese, e li desti nelle loro mani coi loro re e coi popoli del paese, perché li trattassero come loro piaceva.	Nehemiah 9:24 So the children went in and took the land, and you overcame before them the people of the land, the Canaanites, and gave them up into their hands, with their kings and the people of the land, so that they might do with them whatever it was their pleasure to do.
Neemia 9:25 Ed essi s’impadronirono di città fortificate e d’una terra fertile, e possedettero case piene d’ogni bene, cisterne bell’e scavate, vigne, uliveti, alberi fruttiferi in abbondanza, e mangiarono e si saziarono e ingrassarono e vissero in delizie, per la tua gran bontà.	Nehemiah 9:25 And they took walled towns and a fat land, and became the owners of houses full of all good things, water-holes cut in the rock, vine-gardens and olive-gardens and a wealth of fruit-trees: so they had food enough and became fat, and had joy in the good you gave them.
Neemia 9:26 Ma essi furon disubbidienti, si ribellarono contro di te, si gettaron la tua legge dietro le spalle, uccisero i tuoi profeti che li scongiuravano di tornare a te, e t’oltraggiarono gravemente.	Nehemiah 9:26 But they were hard-hearted, and went against your authority, turning their backs on your law, and putting to death your prophets, who gave witness against them with the purpose of turning them back again to you, and they did much to make you angry.
Neemia 9:27 Perciò tu li desti nelle mani de’ loro nemici, che li oppressero; ma al tempo della loro distretta essi gridarono a te, e tu li esaudisti dal cielo; e, nella tua immensa misericordia, tu desti loro de’ liberatori, che li salvarono dalle mani dei loro nemici.	Nehemiah 9:27 And so you gave them up into the hands of their haters who were cruel to them: and in the time of their trouble, when they made their prayer to you, you gave ear to them from heaven; and in your great mercy gave them saviours, who made them free from the hands of their haters.
Neemia 9:28 Ma quando aveano riposo, ricominciavano a fare il male dinanzi a te; perciò tu li abbandonavi nelle mani dei loro nemici, i quali diventavan loro dominatori; poi, quando ricominciavano a gridare a te, tu li esaudivi dal cielo; e così, nella tua misericordia, più volte li salvasti.	Nehemiah 9:28 But when they had rest, they did evil again before you: so you gave them into the hands of their haters, who had rule over them: but when they came back and made their prayer to you, you gave ear to them from heaven; again and again, in your mercy, you gave them salvation;
Neemia 9:29 Tu li scongiuravi per farli tornare alla tua legge; ma essi s’inorgoglivano e non ubbidivano ai tuoi comandamenti, peccavano contro le tue prescrizioni che fanno vivere chi le mette in pratica; la loro spalla rifiutava il giogo, essi induravano le loro cervici e non voleano ubbidire.	Nehemiah 9:29 And gave witness against them so that you might make them come back again to your law: but their hearts were lifted up, and they gave no attention to your orders and went against your decisions (which, if a man keeps them, will be life to him), and turning their backs on you, made their necks stiff and did not give ear.
Neemia 9:30 E pazientasti con essi molti anni, e li scongiurasti per mezzo del tuo spirito e per bocca de’ tuoi profeti; ma essi non vollero prestare orecchio, e tu li desti nelle mani de’ popoli de’ paesi stranieri.	Nehemiah 9:30 Year after year you put up with them, and gave witness against them by your spirit through your prophets: still they did not give ear: and so you gave them up into the hands of the peoples of the lands.
Neemia 9:31 Però, nella tua immensa compassione, tu non li sterminasti del tutto, e non li abbandonasti, perché sei un Dio clemente e misericordioso.	Nehemiah 9:31 Even then, in your great mercy, you did not put an end to them completely, or give them up; for you are a God of grace and mercy.
Neemia 9:32 Ora dunque, o Dio nostro, Dio grande, potente e tremendo, che mantieni il patto e la misericordia, non paian poca cosa agli occhi tuoi tutte queste afflizioni che son piombate addosso a noi, ai nostri re, ai nostri capi, ai nostri sacerdoti, ai nostri profeti, ai nostri padri, a tutto il tuo popolo, dal tempo dei re d’Assiria al dì d’oggi.	Nehemiah 9:32 And now, our God, the great, the strong, the God who is to be feared, who keeps faith and mercy, let not all this trouble seem small to you, which has come on us, and on our kings and our rulers and on our priests and our prophets and our fathers and on all your people from the time of the kings of Assyria till this day.
Neemia 9:33 Tu sei stato giusto in tutto quello che ci è avvenuto, poiché tu hai agito fedelmente, mentre noi ci siam condotti empiamente.	Nehemiah 9:33 But still, you have been in the right in everything which has come on us; you have been true to us, but we have done evil:
Neemia 9:34 I nostri re, i nostri capi, i nostri sacerdoti, i nostri padri non hanno messa in pratica la tua legge e non hanno ubbidito né ai comandamenti né agli ammonimenti coi quali tu li scongiuravi.	Nehemiah 9:34 And our kings, our rulers, our priests, and our fathers have not kept your law or given attention to your orders and your witness, with which you gave witness against them.
Neemia 9:35 Ed essi, mentre godevano del loro regno, dei grandi benefizi che tu largivi loro e del vasto e fertile paese che tu avevi messo a loro disposizione, non ti servirono e non abbandonarono le loro opere malvage.	Nehemiah 9:35 For they have not been your servants in their kingdom, and in all the good things you gave them, and in the great and fat land you gave them, and they have not been turned away from their evil-doing.
Neemia 9:36 E oggi eccoci schiavi! eccoci schiavi nel paese che tu desti ai nostri padri, perché ne mangiassero i frutti e ne godessero i beni.	Nehemiah 9:36 Now, today, we are servants, and as for the land which you gave to our fathers, so that the produce of it and the good might be theirs, see, we are servants in it:
Neemia 9:37 Ed esso moltiplica i suoi prodotti per i re ai quali tu ci hai sottoposti a cagion dei nostri peccati, e che son padroni dei nostri corpi e del nostro bestiame a loro talento; e noi siamo in gran distretta".	Nehemiah 9:37 And it gives much increase to the kings whom you have put over us because of our sins: and they have power over our bodies and over our cattle at their pleasure, and we are in great trouble.
Neemia 9:38 A motivo di tutto questo, noi fermammo un patto stabile e lo mettemmo per iscritto; e i nostri capi, i nostri Leviti e i nostri sacerdoti vi apposero il loro sigillo.	Nehemiah 9:38 And because of all this we are making an agreement in good faith, and putting it in writing; and our rulers, our Levites, and our priests are putting their names to it.
