| O Lord, you are my God; I will give praise to you, I will give honour to your name; for you have done great acts of power; your purposes in the past have been made true and certain in effect. | Hỡi Đức Giê-hô-va, Ngài là Đức Chúa Trời tôi! Tôi tôn sùng Ngài, tôi ngợi khen danh Ngài; vì Ngài đã làm những sự mới lạ, là những mưu đã định từ xưa, cách thành tín chơn thật. |
| For you have made a town a waste place: a strong town a mass of broken walls; the tower of the men of pride has come to an end; it will never be put up again. | Vì Ngài đã làm cho thành trở nên gò đống, thành bền vững trở nên nơi đổ nát. Đền đài của dân ngoại chẳng phải là thành nữa, sẽ chẳng hề xây lại. |
| For this cause will the strong people give glory to you, the town of the cruel ones will be in fear of you. | Vậy nên một dân cường thạnh sẽ tôn vinh Ngài; thành của các dân tộc đáng kinh hãi sẽ kính sợ Ngài. |
| For you have been a strong place for the poor and the crushed in their trouble, a safe place from the storm, a shade from the heat, when the wrath of the cruel ones is like a winter storm. | Vì Ngài là nơi bền vững cho kẻ nghèo, đồn lũy cho kẻ thiếu thốn trong lúc khó khăn, chỗ đụt cho khỏi bão, chỗ bóng mát cho khỏi nắng, khi những kẻ cường bạo thổi hơi ra như bão, xông vào tường thành. |
| As heat by the shade of a cloud, the noise of the men of pride has been made quiet by you; as heat by the shade of a cloud, the song of the cruel ones has been stopped. | Ngài sẽ dứt sự ồn ào của dân ngoại, như trừ khi nóng trong nơi đất hạn; ngừng tiếng hát nừng của kẻ cường bạo, như hơi nắng tan đi bởi bóng mây. |
| And in this mountain will the Lord of armies make for all peoples a feast of good things, a feast of wines long stored, of good things sweet to the taste, of wines long kept and tested. | Đức Giê-hô-va vạn quân sẽ ban cho mọi dân tộc, tại trên núi nầy, một tiệc yến đồ béo, một diên rượu ngon, đồ béo có tủy, rượu ngon lọc sạch. |
| And in this mountain he will put an end to the shade covering the face of all peoples, and the veil which is stretched over all nations. | Tại trên núi nầy Ngài sẽ trừ diệt mặt của đồ đắp trên muôn dân, và cái màn che phủ mọi dân tộc. |
| He has put an end to death for ever; and the Lord God will take away all weeping; and he will put an end to the shame of his people in all the earth: for the Lord has said it. | Ngài đã nuốt sự chết đến đời đời. Chúa Giê-hô-va sẽ lau nước mắt khỏi mọi mặt, và trừ bỏ sự xấu hổ của đến Ngài khỏi cả thế gian; vì Đức Giê-hô-va đã phán vậy. |
| And in that day it will be said, See, this is our God; we have been waiting for him, and he will be our saviour: this is the Lord in whom is our hope; we will be glad and have delight in his salvation. | Trong ngày đó, người ta sẽ nói rằng: Kìa, ấy là Đức Chúa Trời chúng ta; chúng ta đã mong đợi Ngài, và Ngài sẽ cứu chúng ta. Ay là Đức Giê-hô-va; chúng ta sẽ nức lòng mừng rỡ và đồng vui về sự cứu rỗi của Ngài! |
| For in this mountain will the hand of the Lord come to rest, and Moab will be crushed down in his place, even as the dry stems of the grain are crushed under foot in the waste place. | Vì tay Đức Giê-hô-va sẽ đặt trên núi nầy; nhưng Mô-áp sẽ bị giày đạp trong nơi nó, như rơm bị giày đạp trong ao phân. |
| And if he puts out his hands, like a man stretching out his hands in swimming, the Lord will make low his pride, however expert his designs. | Nó sẽ giang tay trong đó, như người lội bơi giang tay ra để lội; nhưng Đức Giê-hô-va sẽ dằn sự kiêu ngạo nó xuống, và cất bỏ mọi cơ mưu của tay nó. |
| And the strong tower of your walls has been broken by him, made low, and crushed even to the dust. | Ngài sẽ hạ lũy cao của tường thành ngươi xuống, đánh đổ, và ném xuống đất vào trong bụi bặm. |
