| And there will come a rod out of the broken tree of Jesse, and a branch out of his roots will give fruit. | Có một chồi sẽ nứt lên từ gốc Y-sai, một nhành từ rễ nó sẽ ra trái. |
| And the spirit of the Lord will be resting on him, the spirit of wisdom and good sense, the spirit of wise guiding and strength, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord; | Thần của Đức Giê-hô-va sẽ ngự trên Ngài, tức là thần khôn ngoan và thông sáng, thần mưu toan và mạnh sức, thần hiểu biết và kính sợ Đức Giê-hô-va. |
| And he will not be guided in his judging by what he sees, or give decisions by the hearing of his ears: | Ngài lấy sự kính sợ Đức Giê-hô-va làm vui; chẳng phán xét theo mắt mình thấy, và chẳng cứ sự tai nghe mà đoán định. |
| But he will do right in the cause of the poor, and give wise decisions for those in the land who are in need; and the rod of his mouth will come down on the cruel, and with the breath of his lips he will put an end to the evil-doer. | Nhưng Ngài sẽ dùng sự công bình xét đoán kẻ nghèo, và xử lẽ ngay thẳng cho kẻ nhu mì trên đất. Ngài sẽ đánh thế gian bằng cái gậy của mình mình, và lấy hơi thở nơi môi mà giết kẻ ác. |
| And righteousness will be the cord of his robe, and good faith the band round his breast. | Sự công bình sẽ làm dây thắt lưng của Ngài, sự thành tín sẽ làm dây ràng hông. |
| And the wolf will be living with the lamb, and the leopard will take his rest with the young goat; and the lion will take grass for food like the ox; and the young lion will go with the young ones of the herd; and a little child will be their guide. | Bấy giờ muông sói sẽ ở với chiên con, beo nằm với dê con; bò con, sư tử con với bò nuôi mập cùng chung một chỗ, một đứa con trẻ sẽ dắt chúng nó đi. |
| And the cow and the bear will be friends while their young ones are sleeping together. | Bò cái sẽ ăn với gấu; các con nhỏ chúng nó nằm chung, sư tử ăn cỏ khô như bò. |
| And the child at the breast will be playing by the hole of the snake, and the older child will put his hand on the bright eye of the poison-snake. | Trẻ con đương bú sẽ chơi kề ở rắn hổ mang, trẻ con thôi bú sẽ thò tay vào hang rắn lục. |
| There will be no cause of pain or destruction in all my holy mountain: for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the sea is covered by the waters. | Nó chẳng làm hại, chẳng giết ai trong cả núi thánh của ta; vì thế gian sẽ đầy dẫy sự hiểu biết Đức Giê-hô-va, như các dòng nước che lấp biển. |
| And in that day, the eyes of the nations will be turned to the root of Jesse which will be lifted up as the flag of the peoples; and his resting-place will be glory. | Xảy ra trong ngày đó, rễ Y-sai đứng lên làm cờ cho muôn dân, các nước đều tìm đến Ngài, nơi an nghỉ của Ngài sẽ được vinh hiển. |
| And in that day the hand of the Lord will be stretched out the second time to get back the rest of his people, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the sea-lands. | Trong ngày đó, Chúa còn đặt tay một lần nữa đặng chuộc dân sót của Ngài, tức là kẻ sót lại bởi A-si-ri, Ê-díp-tô, Pha-trô, Cút, Ê-lam, Si-nê -a, Ha-mát cùng các cù lao biển. |
| And he will put up a flag as a sign to the nations, and he will get together those of Israel who had been sent away, and the wandering ones of Judah, from the four ends of the earth. | Chúa sẽ dựng một cây cờ cho các nước; nhóm những người Y-sơ-ra-ên bị đuổi, thâu những người Giu-đa lưu lạc, từ bốn góc đất. |
| And the envy of Ephraim will be gone, and those who make trouble for Judah will come to an end: Ephraim will have no more envy of Judah, and there will be an end of Judah's hate for Ephraim. | Bấy giờ sự ghen tương của Ep-ra-im sẽ mất, kẻ khuấy rối Giu-đa sẽ bị trừ đi; Ep-ra-im không ghen ghét Giu-đa nữa, Giu-đa không khuấy rối Ep-ra-im nữa. |
| And they will be united in attacking the Philistines on the west, and together they will take the goods of the children of the east: their hand will be on Edom and Moab; and the children of Ammon will be under their rule. | Chúng nó sẽ bay trên vai đến Phi-li-tin về phía tây; cùng nhau cướp giựt con cái phương đông; tra tay trên Ê-đôm và Mô-áp; con cái Am-môn sẽ vâng phục họ. |
| And the Lord will make the tongue of the Egyptian sea completely dry; and with his burning wind his hand will be stretched out over the River, and it will be parted into seven streams, so that men may go over it with dry feet. | Đức Giê-hô-va sẽ làm cạn tắt giải biển Ê-díp-tô; vung tay trên Sông cái bởi gió cháy của Ngài, đánh mà chia ra làm bảy suối, và khiến người ta có thể đi qua không ướt dép. |
| And there will be a highway for the rest of his people from Assyria; as there was for Israel in the day when he came up out of the land of Egypt. | Vậy, sẽ có một đường cái cho dân sót của Ngài, là những kẻ sót lại bởi A-si-ri, cũng như đã có một đường cái cho Y-sơ-ra-ên trong ngày họ ra khỏi xứ Ê-díp-tô vậy. |
