Acts 27:1 And when the decision had been made that we were to go by sea to Italy, they gave Paul and certain other prisoners into the care of a captain named Julius, of the Augustan band.	Atti degli Apostoli 27:1 Or quando fu determinato che faremmo vela per l’Italia, Paolo e certi altri prigionieri furon consegnati a un centurione, per nome Giulio, della coorte Augusta.
Acts 27:2 And we went to sea in a ship of Adramyttium which was sailing to the sea towns of Asia, Aristarchus, a Macedonian of Thessalonica, being with us.	Atti degli Apostoli 27:2 E montati sopra una nave adramittina, che dovea toccare i porti della costa d’Asia, salpammo, avendo con noi Aristarco, Macedone di Tessalonica.
Acts 27:3 And on the day after, we came to Sidon; and Julius was kind to Paul, and let him go to see his friends and take a rest.	Atti degli Apostoli 27:3 Il giorno seguente arrivammo a Sidone; e Giulio, usando umanità verso Paolo, gli permise d’andare dai suoi amici per ricevere le loro cure.
Acts 27:4 And sailing again from there, we went on under cover of Cyprus, because the wind was against us.	Atti degli Apostoli 27:4 Poi, essendo partiti di là, navigammo sotto Cipro, perché i venti eran contrari.
Acts 27:5 And having gone across the sea off Cilicia and Pamphylia we came to Myra, in Lycia.	Atti degli Apostoli 27:5 E passato il mar di Cilicia e di Panfilia, arrivammo a Mira di Licia.
Acts 27:6 And there the captain came across a ship of Alexandria, sailing for Italy, and put us in it.	Atti degli Apostoli 27:6 E il centurione, trovata quivi una nave alessandrina che facea vela per l’Italia, ci fe’ montare su quella.
Acts 27:7 And when we had gone on slowly for a long time, and had had hard work getting across to Cnidus, for the wind was against us, we went under cover of Crete, in the direction of Salmone;	Atti degli Apostoli 27:7 E navigando per molti giorni lentamente, e pervenuti a fatica, per l’impedimento del vento, di faccia a Gnido, veleggiammo sotto Creta, di rincontro a Salmone;
Acts 27:8 And sailing down the side of it, as well as we were able, we came to a certain place named Fair Havens, near which was the town of Lasea.	Atti degli Apostoli 27:8 e costeggiandola con difficoltà, venimmo a un certo luogo, detto Beiporti, vicino al quale era la città di Lasea.
Acts 27:9 And as a long time had gone by, and the journey was now full of danger, because it was late in the year, Paul put the position before them,	Atti degli Apostoli 27:9 Or essendo trascorso molto tempo, ed essendo la navigazione ormai pericolosa, poiché anche il Digiuno era già passato, Paolo li ammonì dicendo loro:
Acts 27:10 Saying, Friends, I see that this journey will be one of great damage and loss, not only to the goods and the ship, but to ourselves.	Atti degli Apostoli 27:10 Uomini, io veggo che la navigazione si farà con pericolo e grave danno, non solo del carico e della nave, ma anche delle nostre persone.
Acts 27:11 But the captain gave more attention to the master and the owner of the ship than to what Paul said.	Atti degli Apostoli 27:11 Ma il centurione prestava più fede al pilota e al padron della nave che alle cose dette da Paolo.
Acts 27:12 And as the harbour was not a good one in which to be for the winter, the greater number of them were for going out to sea, in order, if possible, to put in for the winter at Phoenix, a harbour of Crete, looking to the north-east and south-east.	Atti degli Apostoli 27:12 E siccome quel porto non era adatto a svernare, i più furono di parere di partir di là per cercare d’arrivare a Fenice, porto di Creta che guarda a Libeccio e a Maestro, e di passarvi l’inverno.
Acts 27:13 And when the south wind came softly, being of the opinion that their purpose might be effected, they let the ship go and went sailing down the side of Crete, very near to the land.	Atti degli Apostoli 27:13 Essendosi intanto levato un leggero scirocco, e credendo essi d’esser venuti a capo del loro proposito, levate le àncore, si misero a costeggiare l’isola di Creta più da presso.
Acts 27:14 But after a little time, a very violent wind, named Euraquilo, came down from it with great force.	Atti degli Apostoli 27:14 Ma poco dopo, si scatenò giù dall’isola un vento turbinoso, che si chiama Euraquilone;
Acts 27:15 And when the ship got into the grip of it, and was not able to make headway into the wind, we gave way, and went before it.	Atti degli Apostoli 27:15 ed essendo la nave portata via e non potendo reggere al vento, la lasciammo andare, ed eravamo portati alla deriva.
Acts 27:16 And, sailing near the side of a small island named Cauda, we were able, though it was hard work, to make the ship's boat safe:	Atti degli Apostoli 27:16 E passati rapidamente sotto un’isoletta chiamata Clauda, a stento potemmo avere in nostro potere la scialuppa.
Acts 27:17 And having got it up, they put cords under and round the ship; but fearing that they might be pushed on to the Syrtis, they let down the sails and so went running before the wind.	Atti degli Apostoli 27:17 E quando l’ebbero tirata su, ricorsero a ripari, cingendo la nave di sotto; e temendo di esser gettati sulla Sirti, calarono le vele, ed eran così portati via.
Acts 27:18 And, still fighting the storm with all our strength, the day after they made a start at getting the goods out of the ship;	Atti degli Apostoli 27:18 E siccome eravamo fieramente sbattuti dalla tempesta, il giorno dopo cominciarono a far getto del carico.
Acts 27:19 And on the third day, they let all the sailing apparatus go over the side.	Atti degli Apostoli 27:19 E il terzo giorno, con le loro proprie mani, buttarono in mare gli arredi della nave.
Acts 27:20 And as we had not seen the sun or stars for a long time, and a great storm was on us, all hope of salvation was gone.	Atti degli Apostoli 27:20 E non apparendo né sole né stelle già da molti giorni, ed essendoci sopra non piccola tempesta, era ormai tolta ogni speranza di scampare.
Acts 27:21 And when they had been without food for a long time, Paul got up among them and said, Friends, it would have been better if you had given attention to me and not gone sailing out from Crete, to undergo this damage and loss.	Atti degli Apostoli 27:21 Or dopo che furono stati lungamente senza prender cibo, Paolo si levò in mezzo a loro, e disse: Uomini, bisognava darmi ascolto, non partire da Creta, e risparmiar così questo pericolo e questa perdita.
Acts 27:22 But now, I say to you, be of good heart, for there will be no loss of life, but only of the ship.	Atti degli Apostoli 27:22 Ora però vi esorto a star di buon cuore, perché non vi sarà perdita della vita d’alcun di voi ma solo della nave.
Acts 27:23 For this night there came to my side an angel of the God who is my Master and whose servant I am,	Atti degli Apostoli 27:23 Poiché un angelo dell’Iddio, al quale appartengo e ch’io servo, m’è apparso questa notte,
Acts 27:24 Saying, Have no fear, Paul, for you will come before Caesar, and God has given to you all those who are sailing with you.	Atti degli Apostoli 27:24 dicendo: Paolo, non temere; bisogna che tu comparisca dinanzi a Cesare ed ecco, Iddio ti ha donato tutti coloro che navigano teco.
Acts 27:25 And so, O men, be of good heart, for I have faith in God that it will be as he said to me.	Atti degli Apostoli 27:25 Perciò, o uomini, state di buon cuore, perché ho fede in Dio che avverrà come mi è stato detto.
Acts 27:26 But we will be sent on to a certain island.	Atti degli Apostoli 27:26 Ma dobbiamo esser gettati sopra un’isola.
Acts 27:27 But when the fourteenth day came, while we were going here and there in the Adriatic sea, about the middle of the night the sailors had an idea that they were getting near land;	Atti degli Apostoli 27:27 E la quattordicesima notte da che eravamo portati qua e là per l’Adriatico, verso la mezzanotte i marinari sospettavano d’esser vicini a terra;
Acts 27:28 And they let down the lead, and saw that the sea was a hundred and twenty feet deep; and after a little time they did it again and it was ninety feet.	Atti degli Apostoli 27:28 e calato lo scandaglio trovarono venti braccia; poi, passati un po’ più oltre e scandagliato di nuovo, trovarono quindici braccia.
Acts 27:29 Then, fearing that by chance we might come on to the rocks, they let down four hooks from the back of the ship, and made prayers for the coming of day.	Atti degli Apostoli 27:29 Temendo allora di percuotere in luoghi scogliosi, gettarono da poppa quattro àncore, aspettando ansiosamente che facesse giorno.
Acts 27:30 Then the sailors made attempts secretly to get away from the ship, letting down a boat as if they were about to put down hooks from the front of the ship;	Atti degli Apostoli 27:30 Or cercando i marinari di fuggir dalla nave, e avendo calato la scialuppa in mare col pretesto di voler calare le àncore dalla prua,
Acts 27:31 But Paul said to the captain and his men, If you do not keep these men in the ship, you will not be safe.	Atti degli Apostoli 27:31 Paolo disse al centurione ed ai soldati: Se costoro non restano nella nave, voi non potete scampare.
Acts 27:32 Then the armed men, cutting the cords of the boat, let her go.	Atti degli Apostoli 27:32 Allora i soldati tagliaron le funi della scialuppa, e la lasciaron cadere.
Acts 27:33 And when dawn was near, Paul gave them all orders to take food, saying, This is the fourteenth day you have been waiting and taking no food.	Atti degli Apostoli 27:33 E mentre si aspettava che facesse giorno, Paolo esortava tutti a prender cibo, dicendo: Oggi son quattordici giorni che state aspettando, sempre digiuni, senza prender nulla.
Acts 27:34 So I make request to you to take food; for this is for your salvation: not a hair from the head of any of you will come to destruction.	Atti degli Apostoli 27:34 Perciò, io v’esorto a prender cibo, perché questo contribuirà alla vostra salvezza; poiché non perirà neppure un capello del capo d’alcun di voi.
Acts 27:35 And when he had said this and had taken bread, he gave praise to God before them all, and took a meal of the broken bread.	Atti degli Apostoli 27:35 Detto questo, preso del pane, rese grazie a Dio, in presenza di tutti; poi, rottolo, cominciò a mangiare.
Acts 27:36 Then they all took heart and did the same.	Atti degli Apostoli 27:36 E tutti, fatto animo, presero anch’essi del cibo.
Acts 27:37 And we were, in the ship, two hundred and seventy-six persons.	Atti degli Apostoli 27:37 Or eravamo sulla nave, fra tutti, dugentosettantasei persone.
Acts 27:38 And when they had had enough food, they made the weight of the ship less, turning the grain out into the sea.	Atti degli Apostoli 27:38 E saziati che furono, alleggerirono la nave, gettando il frumento in mare.
Acts 27:39 And when it was day, they had no knowledge of the land, but they saw an inlet of the sea with a floor of sand, and they had the idea of driving the ship up on to it if possible.	Atti degli Apostoli 27:39 Quando fu giorno, non riconoscevano il paese; ma scorsero una certa baia che aveva una spiaggia, e deliberarono, se fosse loro possibile, di spingervi la nave.
Acts 27:40 So cutting away the hooks, and letting them go into the sea, and freeing the cords of the guiding-blades, and lifting up the sail to the wind, they went in the direction of the inlet.	Atti degli Apostoli 27:40 E staccate le àncore, le lasciarono andare in mare; sciolsero al tempo stesso i legami dei timoni, e alzato l’artimone al vento, traevano al lido.
Acts 27:41 And coming to a point between two seas, they got the ship to land; and the front part was fixed in the sand and not able to be moved, but the back part was broken by the force of the waves.	Atti degli Apostoli 27:41 Ma essendo incorsi in un luogo che avea il mare d’ambo i lati, vi fecero arrenar la nave; e mentre la prua, incagliata, rimaneva immobile, la poppa si sfasciava per la violenza delle onde.
Acts 27:42 Then the armed men were for putting the prisoners to death, so that no one would get away by swimming.	Atti degli Apostoli 27:42 Or il parere de’ soldati era d’uccidere i prigionieri, perché nessuno fuggisse a nuoto.
Acts 27:43 But the captain, desiring to keep Paul safe, kept them from their purpose, and gave orders that those who had knowledge of swimming were to go off the ship and get first to land:	Atti degli Apostoli 27:43 Ma il centurione, volendo salvar Paolo, li distolse da quel proposito, e comandò che quelli che sapevan nuotare si gettassero in mare per andarsene i primi a terra,
Acts 27:44 And the rest, some on boards and some on things from the ship. And so it came about that they all got safe to land.	Atti degli Apostoli 27:44 e gli altri vi arrivassero, chi sopra tavole, e chi sopra altri pezzi della nave. E così avvenne che tutti giunsero salvi a terra.
