Judges 3:1 Now these are the nations which Jehovah left, to prove Israel by them, even as many [of Israel] as had not known all the wars of Canaan;	Jueces 3:1 Estas, pues, son las gentes que dejó Jehová para probar con ellas á Israel, á todos aquellos que no habían conocido todas las guerras de Canaán;
Judges 3:2 only that the generations of the children of Israel might know, to teach them war, at the least such as beforetime knew nothing thereof:	Jueces 3:2 Para que al menos el linaje de los hijos de Israel conociese, para enseñarlos en la guerra, siquiera fuese á los que antes no la habían conocido:
Judges 3:3 [namely], the five lords of the Philistines, and all the Canaanites, and the Sidonians, and the Hivites that dwelt in mount Lebanon, from mount Baal-hermon unto the entrance of Hamath.	Jueces 3:3 Cinco príncipes de los Philisteos, y todos los Cananeos, y los Sidonios, y los Heveos que habitaban en el monte Líbano: desde el monte de Baal-hermón hasta llegar á Hamath.
Judges 3:4 And they were [left], to prove Israel by them, to know whether they would hearken unto the commandments of Jehovah, which he commanded their fathers by Moses.	Jueces 3:4 Estos pues fueron para probar por ellos á Israel, para saber si obedecerían á los mandamientos de Jehová, que él había prescrito á sus padres por mano de Moisés.
Judges 3:5 And the children of Israel dwelt among the Canaanites, the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites:	Jueces 3:5 Así los hijos de Israel habitaban entre los Cananeos, Hetheos, Amorrheos, Pherezeos, Heveos, y Jebuseos:
Judges 3:6 and they took their daughters to be their wives, and gave their own daughters to their sons and served their gods.	Jueces 3:6 Y tomaron de sus hijas por mujeres, y dieron sus hijas á los hijos de ellos, y sirvieron á sus dioses.
Judges 3:7 And the children of Israel did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah, and forgat Jehovah their God, and served the Baalim and the Asheroth.	Jueces 3:7 Hicieron, pues, los hijos de Israel lo malo en ojos de Jehová: y olvidados de Jehová su Dios, sirvieron á los Baales, y á los ídolos de los bosques.
Judges 3:8 Therefore the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Israel, and he sold them into the hand of Cushan-rishathaim king of Mesopotamia: and the children of Israel served Cushan-rishathaim eight years.	Jueces 3:8 Y la saña de Jehová se encendió contra Israel, y vendiólos en manos de Chusan-risathaim rey de Mesopotamia; y sirvieron los hijos de Israel á Chusan-risathaim ocho años.
Judges 3:9 And when the children of Israel cried unto Jehovah, Jehovah raised up a saviour to the children of Israel, who saved them, even Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb's younger brother.	Jueces 3:9 Y clamaron los hijos de Israel á Jehová; y Jehová suscitó salvador á los hijos de Israel y librólos; es á saber, á Othoniel hijo de Cenez, hermano menor de Caleb.
Judges 3:10 And the Spirit of Jehovah came upon him, and he judged Israel; and he went out to war, and Jehovah delivered Cushan-rishathaim king of Mesopotamia into his hand: and his hand prevailed against Cushan-rishathaim.	Jueces 3:10 Y el espíritu de Jehová fué sobre él, y juzgó á Israel, y salió á batalla, y Jehová entregó en su mano á Chusan-risathaim, rey de Siria, y prevaleció su mano contra Chusan-risathaim.
Judges 3:11 And the land had rest forty years. And Othniel the son of Kenaz died.	Jueces 3:11 Y reposó la tierra cuarenta años; y murió Othoniel, hijo de Cenez.
Judges 3:12 And the children of Israel again did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah: and Jehovah strengthened Eglon the king of Moab against Israel, because they had done that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah.	Jueces 3:12 Y tornaron los hijos de Israel á hacer lo malo ante los ojos de Jehová; y Jehová esforzó á Eglón rey de Moab contra Israel, por cuanto habían hecho lo malo ante los ojos de Jehová.
Judges 3:13 And he gathered unto him the children of Ammon and Amalek; and he went and smote Israel, and they possessed the city of palm-trees.	Jueces 3:13 Y Juntó consigo á los hijos de Ammón y de Amalec, y fué, é hirió á Israel, y tomó la ciudad de las palmas.
Judges 3:14 And the children of Israel served Eglon the king of Moab eighteen years.	Jueces 3:14 Y sirvieron los hijos de Israel á Eglón rey de los Moabitas diez y ocho años.
Judges 3:15 But when the children of Israel cried unto Jehovah, Jehovah raised them up a saviour, Ehud the son of Gera, the Benjamite, a man left-handed. And the children of Israel sent tribute by him unto Eglon the king of Moab.	Jueces 3:15 Y clamaron los hijos de Israel á Jehová; y Jehová les suscitó salvador, á Aod, hijo de Gera, Benjamita, el cual tenía cerrada la mano derecha. Y los hijos de Israel enviaron con él un presente á Eglón rey de Moab.
Judges 3:16 And Ehud made him a sword which had two edges, a cubit in length; and he girded it under his raiment upon his right thigh.	Jueces 3:16 Y Aod se había hecho un puñal de dos filos, de un codo de largo; y ciñósele debajo de sus vestidos á su lado derecho.
Judges 3:17 And he offered the tribute unto Eglon king of Moab: now Eglon was a very fat man.	Jueces 3:17 Y presentó el presente á Eglón rey de Moab; y era Eglón hombre muy grueso.
Judges 3:18 And when he had made an end of offering the tribute, he sent away the people that bare the tribute.	Jueces 3:18 Y luego que hubo presentado el don, despidió á la gente que lo había traído.
Judges 3:19 But he himself turned back from the quarries that were by Gilgal, and said, I have a secret errand unto thee, O king. And he said, Keep silence. And all that stood by him went out from him.	Jueces 3:19 Mas él se volvió desde los ídolos que están en Gilgal, y dijo: Rey, una palabra secreta tengo que decirte. El entonces dijo: Calla. Y saliéronse de con él todos los que delante de él estaban.
Judges 3:20 And Ehud came unto him; and he was sitting by himself alone in the cool upper room. And Ehud said, I have a message from God unto thee. And he arose out of his seat.	Jueces 3:20 Y llegóse Aod á él, el cual estaba sentado solo en una sala de verano. Y Aod dijo: Tengo palabra de Dios para ti. El entonces se levantó de la silla.
Judges 3:21 And Ehud put forth his left hand, and took the sword from his right thigh, and thrust it into his body:	Jueces 3:21 Mas Aod metió su mano izquierda, y tomó el puñal de su lado derecho, y metióselo por el vientre;
Judges 3:22 and the haft also went in after the blade; and the fat closed upon the blade, for he drew not the sword out of his body; and it came out behind.	Jueces 3:22 De tal manera que la empuñadura entró también tras la hoja, y la grosura encerró la hoja, que él no sacó el puñal de su vientre: y salió el estiércol.
Judges 3:23 Then Ehud went forth into the porch, and shut the doors of the upper room upon him, and locked them.	Jueces 3:23 Y saliendo Aod al patio, cerró tras sí las puertas de la sala.
Judges 3:24 Now when he was gone out, his servants came; and they saw, and, behold, the doors of the upper room were locked; and they said, Surely he is covering his feet in the upper chamber.	Jueces 3:24 Y salido él, vinieron sus siervos, los cuales viendo las puertas de la sala cerradas, dijeron: Sin duda él cubre sus pies en la sala de verano.
Judges 3:25 And they tarried till they were ashamed; and, behold, he opened not the doors of the upper room: therefore they took the key, and opened [them], and, behold, their lord was fallen down dead on the earth.	Jueces 3:25 Y habiendo esperado hasta estar confusos, pues que él no abría las puertas de la sala, tomaron la llave y abrieron: y he aquí su señor caído en tierra muerto.
Judges 3:26 And Ehud escaped while they tarried, and passed beyond the quarries, and escaped unto Seirah.	Jueces 3:26 Mas entre tanto que ellos se detuvieron, Aod se escapó, y pasando los ídolos, salvóse en Seirath.
Judges 3:27 And it came to pass, when he was come, that he blew a trumpet in the hill-country of Ephraim; and the children of Israel went down with him from the hill-country, and he before them.	Jueces 3:27 Y como hubo entrado, tocó el cuerno en el monte de Ephraim, y los hijos de Israel descendieron con él del monte, y él iba delante de ellos.
Judges 3:28 And he said unto them, Follow after me; for Jehovah hath delivered your enemies the Moabites into your hand. And they went down after him, and took the fords of the Jordan against the Moabites, and suffered not a man to pass over.	Jueces 3:28 Entonces él les dijo: Seguidme, porque Jehová ha entregado vuestros enemigos los Moabitas en vuestras manos. Y descendieron en pos de él, y tomaron los vados del Jordán á Moab, y no dejaron pasar á ninguno.
Judges 3:29 And they smote of Moab at that time about ten thousand men, every lusty man, and every man of valor; and there escaped not a man.	Jueces 3:29 Y en aquel tiempo hirieron de los Moabitas como diez mil hombres, todos valientes y todos hombres de guerra; no escapó hombre.
Judges 3:30 So Moab was subdued that day under the hand of Israel. And the land had rest fourscore years.	Jueces 3:30 Así quedó Moab sojuzgado aquel día bajo la mano de Israel: y reposó la tierra ochenta años.
Judges 3:31 And after him was Shamgar the son of Anath, who smote of the Philistines six hundred men with an ox-goad: and he also saved Israel.	Jueces 3:31 Después de éste fué Samgar hijo de Anat, el cual hirió seiscientos hombres de los Filisteos con una aguijada de bueyes; y él también salvó á Israel.
