耶利米書 9
|
| Oh that my head were waters, and mine eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people! | 但 願 我 的 頭 為 水 、 我 的 眼 為 淚 的 泉 源 、 我 好 為 我 百 姓 〔 原 文 作 民 女 七 節 同 〕 中 被 殺 的 人 、 晝 夜 哭 泣 。 |
| Oh that I had in the wilderness a lodging-place of wayfaring men; that I might leave my people, and go from them! for they are all adulterers, an assembly of treacherous men. | 惟 願 我 在 曠 野 有 行 路 人 住 宿 之 處 、 使 我 可 以 離 開 我 的 民 出 去 ． 因 他 們 都 是 行 姦 淫 的 、 是 行 詭 詐 的 一 黨 。 |
| And they bend their tongue, [as it were] their bow, for falsehood; and they are grown strong in the land, but not for truth: for they proceed from evil to evil, and they know not me, saith Jehovah. | 他 們 彎 起 舌 頭 、 像 弓 一 樣 、 為 要 說 謊 話 ． 他 們 在 國 中 、 增 長 勢 力 、 不 是 為 行 誠 實 、 乃 是 惡 上 加 惡 、 並 不 認 識 我 ． 這 是 耶 和 華 說 的 。 |
| Take ye heed every one of his neighbor, and trust ye not in any brother; for every brother will utterly supplant, and every neighbor will go about with slanders. | 你 們 各 人 當 謹 防 鄰 舍 、 不 可 信 靠 弟 兄 ． 因 為 弟 兄 盡 行 欺 騙 、 鄰 舍 都 往 來 讒 謗 人 。 |
| And they will deceive every one his neighbor, and will not speak the truth: they have taught their tongue to speak lies; they weary themselves to commit iniquity. | 他 們 各 人 欺 哄 鄰 舍 、 不 說 真 話 ． 他 們 教 舌 頭 學 習 說 謊 ． 勞 勞 碌 碌 的 作 孽 。 |
| Thy habitation is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know me, saith Jehovah. | 你 的 住 處 在 詭 詐 的 人 中 ． 他 們 因 行 詭 詐 不 肯 認 識 我 ． 這 是 耶 和 華 說 的 。 |
| Therefore thus saith Jehovah of hosts, Behold, I will melt them, and try them; for how [else] should I do, because of the daughter of my people? | 所 以 萬 軍 之 耶 和 華 如 此 說 、 看 哪 、 我 要 將 他 們 融 化 熬 煉 ． 不 然 、 我 因 我 百 姓 的 罪 該 怎 樣 行 呢 。 |
| Their tongue is a deadly arrow; it speaketh deceit: one speaketh peaceably to his neighbor with his mouth, but in his heart he layeth wait for him. | 他 們 的 舌 頭 是 毒 箭 、 說 話 詭 詐 ． 人 與 鄰 舍 口 說 和 平 話 、 心 卻 謀 害 他 。 |
| Shall I not visit them for these things? saith Jehovah; shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this? | 耶 和 華 說 、 我 豈 不 因 這 些 事 討 他 們 的 罪 呢 ． 豈 不 報 復 這 樣 的 國 民 呢 。 |
| For the mountains will I take up a weeping and wailing, and for the pastures of the wilderness a lamentation, because they are burned up, so that none passeth through; neither can men hear the voice of the cattle; both the birds of the heavens and the beasts are fled, they are gone. | 我 要 為 山 嶺 哭 泣 悲 哀 、 為 曠 野 的 草 場 揚 聲 哀 號 、 因 為 都 已 乾 焦 、 甚 至 無 人 經 過 ． 人 也 聽 不 見 牲 畜 鳴 叫 ． 空 中 的 飛 鳥 、 和 地 上 的 野 獸 、 都 已 逃 去 。 |
| And I will make Jerusalem heaps, a dwelling-place of jackals; and I will make the cities of Judah a desolation, without inhabitant. | 我 必 使 耶 路 撒 冷 變 為 亂 堆 、 為 野 狗 的 住 處 ． 也 必 使 猶 大 的 城 邑 、 變 為 荒 場 、 無 人 居 住 。 |
| Who is the wise man, that may understand this? and [who is] he to whom the mouth of Jehovah hath spoken, that he may declare it? wherefore is the land perished and burned up like a wilderness, so that none passeth through? | 誰 是 智 慧 人 、 可 以 明 白 這 事 ． 耶 和 華 的 口 向 誰 說 過 、 使 他 可 以 傳 說 ． 遍 地 為 何 滅 亡 乾 焦 好 像 曠 野 、 甚 至 無 人 經 過 呢 。 |
| And Jehovah saith, Because they have forsaken my law which I set before them, and have not obeyed my voice, neither walked therein, | 耶 和 華 說 、 因 為 這 百 姓 離 棄 我 在 他 們 面 前 所 設 立 的 律 法 、 沒 有 遵 行 、 也 沒 有 聽 從 我 的 話 ． |
| but have walked after the stubbornness of their own heart, and after the Baalim, which their fathers taught them; | 只 隨 從 自 己 頑 梗 的 心 行 事 、 照 他 們 列 祖 所 教 訓 的 、 隨 從 眾 巴 力 ． |
| therefore thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, Behold, I will feed them, even this people, with wormwood, and give them water of gall to drink. | 所 以 萬 軍 之 耶 和 華 以 色 列 的 神 如 此 說 、 看 哪 、 我 必 將 茵 蔯 給 這 百 姓 喫 、 又 將 苦 膽 水 給 他 們 喝 。 |
| I will scatter them also among the nations, whom neither they nor their fathers have known; and I will send the sword after them, till I have consumed them. | 我 要 把 他 們 散 在 列 邦 中 、 就 是 他 們 和 他 們 列 祖 素 不 認 識 的 列 邦 ． 我 也 要 使 刀 劍 追 殺 他 們 、 直 到 將 他 們 滅 盡 。 |
| Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, Consider ye, and call for the mourning women, that they may come; and send for the skilful women, that they may come: | 萬 軍 之 耶 和 華 如 此 說 、 你 們 應 當 思 想 、 將 善 唱 哀 歌 的 婦 女 召 來 ． 又 打 發 人 召 善 哭 的 婦 女 來 。 |
| and let them make haste, and take up a wailing for us, that our eyes may run down with tears, and our eyelids gush out with waters. | 叫 他 們 速 速 為 我 們 舉 哀 、 使 我 們 眼 淚 汪 汪 、 使 我 們 的 眼 皮 湧 出 水 來 。 |
| For a voice of wailing is heard out of Zion, How are we ruined! we are greatly confounded, because we have forsaken the land, because they have cast down our dwellings. | 因 為 聽 見 哀 聲 出 於 錫 安 、 說 、 我 們 怎 樣 敗 落 了 ． 我 們 大 大 的 慚 愧 、 我 們 撇 下 地 土 、 人 也 拆 毀 了 我 們 的 房 屋 。 |
| Yet hear the word of Jehovah, O ye women, and let your ear receive the word of his mouth; and teach your daughters wailing, and every one her neighbor lamentation. | 婦 女 們 哪 、 你 們 當 聽 耶 和 華 的 話 、 領 受 他 口 中 的 言 語 ． 又 當 教 導 你 們 的 兒 女 舉 哀 、 各 人 教 導 鄰 舍 唱 哀 歌 。 |
| For death is come up into our windows, it is entered into our palaces; to cut off the children from without, [and] the young men from the streets. | 因 為 死 亡 上 來 、 進 了 我 們 的 窗 戶 、 入 了 我 們 的 宮 殿 ． 要 從 外 邊 剪 除 孩 童 、 從 街 上 剪 除 少 年 人 。 |
| Speak, Thus saith Jehovah, The dead bodies of men shall fall as dung upon the open field, and as the handful after the harvestman; and none shall gather [them]. | 你 當 說 、 耶 和 華 如 此 說 、 人 的 屍 首 必 倒 在 田 野 像 糞 土 、 又 像 收 割 的 人 遺 落 的 一 把 禾 稼 、 無 人 收 取 。 |
| Thus saith Jehovah, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches; | 耶 和 華 如 此 說 、 智 慧 人 不 要 因 他 的 智 慧 誇 口 、 勇 士 不 要 因 他 的 勇 力 誇 口 、 財 主 不 要 因 他 的 財 物 誇 口 ． |
| but let him that glorieth glory in this, that he hath understanding, and knoweth me, that I am Jehovah who exerciseth lovingkindness, justice, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith Jehovah. | 誇 口 的 卻 因 他 有 聰 明 、 認 識 我 是 耶 和 華 、 又 知 道 我 喜 悅 在 世 上 施 行 慈 愛 公 平 和 公 義 、 以 此 誇 口 ． 這 是 耶 和 華 說 的 。 |
| Behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, that I will punish all them that are circumcised in [their] uncircumcision: | 耶 和 華 說 、 看 哪 、 日 子 將 到 、 我 要 刑 罰 一 切 受 過 割 禮 、 心 卻 未 受 割 禮 的 ． |
| Egypt, and Judah, and Edom, and the children of Ammon, and Moab, and all that have the corners [of their hair] cut off, that dwell in the wilderness; for all the nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised in heart. | 就 是 埃 及 、 猶 大 、 以 東 、 亞 捫 人 、 摩 押 人 、 和 一 切 住 在 曠 野 剃 周 圍 頭 髮 的 ． 因 為 列 國 人 都 沒 有 受 割 禮 、 以 色 列 人 心 中 、 也 沒 有 受 割 禮 。 |
