Deutéronome 6:1 Voici les commandements, les lois et les ordonnances que l`Éternel, votre Dieu, a commandé de vous enseigner, afin que vous les mettiez en pratique dans le pays dont vous allez prendre possession;	Deuteronomy 6:1 Now these are the orders and the laws and the decisions which the Lord your God gave me for your teaching, so that you might do them in the land of your heritage to which you are going:
Deutéronome 6:2 afin que tu craignes l`Éternel, ton Dieu, en observant, tous les jours de ta vie, toi, ton fils, et le fils de ton fils, toutes ses lois et tous ses commandements que je te prescris, et afin que tes jours soient prolongés.	Deuteronomy 6:2 So that living in the fear of the Lord your God, you may keep all his laws and his orders, which I give you: you and your son and your son's son, all the days of your life; and so that your life may be long.
Deutéronome 6:3 Tu les écouteras donc, Israël, et tu auras soin de les mettre en pratique, afin que tu sois heureux et que vous multipliiez beaucoup, comme te l`a dit l`Éternel, le Dieu de tes pères, en te promettant un pays où coulent le lait et le miel.	Deuteronomy 6:3 So give ear, O Israel, and take care to do this; so that it may be well for you, and you may be greatly increased, as the Lord the God of your fathers has given you his word, in a land flowing with milk and honey.
Deutéronome 6:4 Écoute, Israël! l`Éternel, notre Dieu, est le seul Éternel.	Deuteronomy 6:4 Give ear, O Israel: the Lord our God is one Lord:
Deutéronome 6:5 Tu aimeras l`Éternel, ton Dieu, de tout ton coeur, de toute ton âme et de toute ta force.	Deuteronomy 6:5 And the Lord your God is to be loved with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
Deutéronome 6:6 Et ces commandements, que je te donne aujourd`hui, seront dans ton coeur.	Deuteronomy 6:6 Keep these words, which I say to you this day, deep in your hearts;
Deutéronome 6:7 Tu les inculqueras à tes enfants, et tu en parleras quand tu seras dans ta maison, quand tu iras en voyage, quand tu te coucheras et quand tu te lèveras.	Deuteronomy 6:7 Teaching them to your children with all care, talking of them when you are at rest in your house or walking by the way, when you go to sleep and when you get up.
Deutéronome 6:8 Tu les lieras comme un signe sur tes mains, et ils seront comme des fronteaux entre tes yeux.	Deuteronomy 6:8 Let them be fixed as a sign on your hand, and marked on your brow;
Deutéronome 6:9 Tu les écriras sur les poteaux de ta maison et sur tes portes.	Deuteronomy 6:9 Have them lettered on the pillars of your houses and over the doors of your towns.
Deutéronome 6:10 L`Éternel, ton Dieu, te fera entrer dans le pays qu`il a juré à tes pères, à Abraham, à Isaac et à Jacob, de te donner. Tu posséderas de grandes et bonnes villes que tu n`as point bâties,	Deuteronomy 6:10 And when the Lord your God has taken you into the land which he gave his oath to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, that he would give you; with great and fair towns which were not of your building;
Deutéronome 6:11 des maisons qui sont pleines de toutes sortes de biens et que tu n`as point remplies, des citernes creusées que tu n`as point creusées, des vignes et des oliviers que tu n`as point plantés.	Deuteronomy 6:11 And houses full of good things not stored up by you, and places for storing water which you did not make, and vine-gardens and olive-trees not of your planting; and you have taken food and are full;
Deutéronome 6:12 Lorsque tu mangeras et te rassasieras, garde-toi d`oublier l`Éternel, qui t`a fait sortir du pays d`Égypte, de la maison de servitude.	Deuteronomy 6:12 Then take care that you keep your hearts true to the Lord, who took you out of the land of Egypt, out of the prison-house.
Deutéronome 6:13 Tu craindras l`Éternel, ton Dieu, tu le serviras, et tu jureras par son nom.	Deuteronomy 6:13 Let the fear of the Lord your God be in your hearts, and be his servants, taking your oaths by his name.
Deutéronome 6:14 Vous n`irez point après d`autres dieux, d`entre les dieux des peuples qui sont autour de vous;	Deuteronomy 6:14 Do not go after other gods, the gods of the peoples round about you;
Deutéronome 6:15 car l`Éternel, ton Dieu, est un Dieu jaloux au milieu de toi. La colère de l`Éternel, ton Dieu, s`enflammerait contre toi, et il t`exterminerait de dessus la terre.	Deuteronomy 6:15 For the Lord your God who is with you is a God who will not let his honour be given to another; or the wrath of the Lord will be burning against you, causing your destruction from the face of the earth.
Deutéronome 6:16 Vous ne tenterez point l`Éternel, votre Dieu, comme vous l`avez tenté à Massa.	Deuteronomy 6:16 Do not put the Lord your God to the test as you did in Massah.
Deutéronome 6:17 Mais vous observerez les commandements de l`Éternel, votre Dieu, ses ordonnances et ses lois qu`il vous a prescrites.	Deuteronomy 6:17 Keep with care the orders of the Lord your God, and his rules and his laws which he has given you;
Deutéronome 6:18 Tu feras ce qui est droit et ce qui est bien aux yeux de l`Éternel, afin que tu sois heureux, et que tu entres en possession du bon pays que l`Éternel a juré à tes pères de te donner,	Deuteronomy 6:18 And do what is upright and good in the eyes of the Lord your God, so that it may be well for you and you may go in and take for your heritage that good land from which the Lord undertook by an oath to your fathers,
Deutéronome 6:19 après qu`il aura chassé tous tes ennemis devant toi, comme l`Éternel l`a dit.	Deuteronomy 6:19 To send out from before you all those who are against you.
Deutéronome 6:20 Lorsque ton fils te demandera un jour: Que signifient ces préceptes, ces lois et ces ordonnances, que l`Éternel, notre Dieu, vous a prescrits?	Deuteronomy 6:20 And when your son says to you in time to come, What is the reason for these rules and laws and decisions which the Lord our God has given you?
Deutéronome 6:21 tu diras à ton fils: Nous étions esclaves de Pharaon en Égypte, et l`Éternel nous a fait sortir de l`Égypte par sa main puissante.	Deuteronomy 6:21 Then you will say to your son, We were servants under Pharaoh's yoke in Egypt; and the Lord took us out of Egypt with a strong hand:
Deutéronome 6:22 L`Éternel a opéré, sous nos yeux, des miracles et des prodiges, grands et désastreux, contre l`Égypte, contre Pharaon et contre toute sa maison;	Deuteronomy 6:22 And the Lord did great signs and wonders against Egypt, and against Pharaoh and all his house, before our eyes:
Deutéronome 6:23 et il nous a fait sortir de là, pour nous amener dans le pays qu`il avait juré à nos pères de nous donner.	Deuteronomy 6:23 And he took us out from that place, guiding us here to give us this land, as he said in his oath to our fathers.
Deutéronome 6:24 L`Éternel nous a commandé de mettre en pratique toutes ces lois, et de craindre l`Éternel, notre Dieu, afin que nous fussions toujours heureux, et qu`il nous conservât la vie, comme il le fait aujourd`hui.	Deuteronomy 6:24 And the Lord gave us orders to keep all these laws, in the fear of the Lord our God, so that it might be well for us for ever, and that he might keep us from death, as he has done to this day.
Deutéronome 6:25 Nous aurons la justice en partage, si nous mettons soigneusement en pratique tous ces commandements devant l`Éternel, notre Dieu, comme il nous l`a ordonné.	Deuteronomy 6:25 And it will be our righteousness if we take care to keep all this order before the Lord our God as he has given it to us.
