Nahum 3:1 A curse is on the town of blood; it is full of deceit and violent acts; and there is no end to the taking of life.	Nahum 3:1 Guai alla città di sangue, che è tutta piena di menzogna e di violenza e che non cessa di far preda!
Nahum 3:2 The noise of the whip, and the noise of thundering wheels; horses rushing and war-carriages jumping,	Nahum 3:2 S’ode rumor di sferza, strepito di ruote, galoppo di cavalli, balzar di carri.
Nahum 3:3 Horsemen driving forward, and the shining sword and the bright spear: and a great number of wounded, and masses of dead bodies; they are falling over the bodies of the dead:	Nahum 3:3 I cavalieri dànno la carica, fiammeggiano le spade, sfolgoran le lance, i feriti abbondano, s’ammontano i cadaveri, sono infiniti i morti, s’inciampa nei cadaveri.
Nahum 3:4 Because of all the false ways of the loose woman, expert in attraction and wise in secret arts, who takes nations in the net of her false ways, and families through her secret arts.	Nahum 3:4 E questo a cagione delle tante fornicazioni dell’avvenente prostituta, dell’abile incantatrice, che vendeva le nazioni con le sue fornicazioni, e i popoli con i suoi incantesimi.
Nahum 3:5 See, I am against you, says the Lord of armies, and I will have your skirts pulled over your face, and let the nations see you unclothed, and the kingdoms your shame.	Nahum 3:5 Eccomi a te, dice l’Eterno degli eserciti; io t’alzerò i lembi della veste fin sulla faccia e mostrerò alle nazioni la tua nudità, e ai regni la tua vergogna;
Nahum 3:6 I will make you completely disgusting and full of shame, and will put you up to be looked at by all.	Nahum 3:6 E ti getterò a dosso delle immondizie, t’avvilirò e ti esporrò in spettacolo.
Nahum 3:7 And it will come about that all who see you will go in flight from you and say, Nineveh is made waste: who will be weeping for her? where am I to get comforters for her?	Nahum 3:7 Tutti quelli che ti vedranno fuggiranno lungi da te, e diranno: "Ninive è devastata! Chi la compiangerà? Dove ti cercherei dei consolatori?
Nahum 3:8 Are you better than No-amon, seated on the Nile streams, with waters all round her; whose wall was the sea and her earthwork the waters?	Nahum 3:8 Vali tu meglio di No-Amon, ch’era assisa tra i fiumi, circondata dalle acque, che aveva il mare per baluardo, il mare per mura?
Nahum 3:9 Ethiopia was her strength and Egyptians without number; Put and Lubim were her helpers.	Nahum 3:9 L’Etiopia e l’Egitto eran la sua forza, e non avea limiti; Put ed i Libi erano i suoi ausiliari.
Nahum 3:10 But even she has been taken away, she has gone away as a prisoner: even her young children are smashed to bits at the top of all the streets: the fate of her honoured men is put to the decision of chance, and all her great men are put in chains.	Nahum 3:10 Eppure, anch’essa è stata deportata, è andata in cattività; anche i bambini suoi sono stati sfracellati a ogni canto di strada; s’è tirata la sorte sopra i suoi uomini onorati, e tutti i suoi grandi sono stati messi in catene.
Nahum 3:11 And you will be overcome with wine, you will become feeble; you will be looking for a safe place from those who are fighting against you.	Nahum 3:11 Tu pure sarai ubriacata, t’andrai a nascondere; tu pure cercherai un rifugio davanti al nemico.
Nahum 3:12 All your walled places will be like fig-trees and your people like the first figs, falling at a shake into the mouth which is open for them.	Nahum 3:12 Tutte le tue fortezze saranno come fichi dai frutti primaticci, che, quando li si scuote, cadono in bocca di chi li vuol mangiare.
Nahum 3:13 See, the people who are in you are women; the doorways of your land are wide open to your attackers: the locks of your doors have been burned away in the fire.	Nahum 3:13 Ecco, il tuo popolo, in mezzo a te, son tante donne; le porte del tuo paese sono spalancate davanti ai tuoi nemici, il fuoco ha divorato le tue sbarre.
Nahum 3:14 Get water for the time when you are shut in, make strong your towns: go into the potter's earth, stamping it down with your feet, make strong the brickworks.	Nahum 3:14 Attingiti pure acqua per l’assedio! Rinforza le tue fortificazioni! Entra nella malta, pesta l’argilla! Restaura la fornace da mattoni!
Nahum 3:15 There the fire will make you waste; you will be cut off by the sword: make yourself as great in number as the worms, as great in number as the locusts.	Nahum 3:15 Là il fuoco ti divorerà, la spada ti distruggerà; ti divorerà come la cavalletta, fossi tu pur numerosa come le cavallette, fossi tu pur numerosa come le locuste.
Nahum 3:16 Let your traders be increased more than the stars of heaven:	Nahum 3:16 Tu hai moltiplicato i tuoi mercanti, più delle stelle del cielo; le cavallette spogliano ogni cosa e volano via.
Nahum 3:17 Your crowned ones are like the locusts, and your scribes like the clouds of insects which take cover in the walls on a cold day, but when the sun comes up they go in flight, and are seen no longer in their place.	Nahum 3:17 I tuoi principi son come le locuste, i tuoi ufficiali come sciami di giovani locuste, che s’accampano lungo le siepi in giorno di freddo, e quando il sole si leva volano via, e non si conosce più il posto dov’erano.
Nahum 3:18 Sorrow! how are the keepers of your flock sleeping, O king of Assyria! your strong men are at rest; your people are wandering on the mountains, and there is no one to get them together.	Nahum 3:18 O re d’Assiria, i tuoi pastori si sono addormentati; i tuoi valorosi ufficiali riposano; il tuo popolo è disperso su per i monti, e non v’è chi li raduni.
Nahum 3:19 Your pain may not be made better; you are wounded to death: all those hearing the news about you will be waving their hands in joy over you: for who has not undergone the weight of your evil-doing again and again?	Nahum 3:19 Non v’è rimedio per la tua ferita; la tua piaga è grave; tutti quelli che udranno parlare di te batteranno le mani alla tua sorte; poiché su chi non è passata del continuo la tua malvagità?
