Genesis 41:1 Now after two years had gone by, Pharaoh had a dream; and in his dream he was by the side of the Nile;	Genesi 41:1 Or avvenne, in capo a due anni interi, che Faraone ebbe un sogno. Ed ecco che stava presso il fiume;
Genesis 41:2 And out of the Nile came seven cows, good-looking and fat, and their food was the river-grass.	Genesi 41:2 e su dal fiume ecco salire sette vacche, di bell’apparenza e grasse, e mettersi a pascere nella giuncaia.
Genesis 41:3 And after them seven other cows came out of the Nile, poor-looking and thin; and they were by the side of the other cows.	Genesi 41:3 E, dopo quelle, ecco salire dal fiume altre sette vacche di brutt’apparenza e scarne, e fermarsi presso alle prime, sulla riva del fiume.
Genesis 41:4 And the seven thin cows made a meal of the seven fat cows. Then Pharaoh came out of his sleep.	Genesi 41:4 E le vacche di brutt’apparenza e scarne, divorarono le sette vacche di bell’apparenza e grasse. E Faraone si svegliò.
Genesis 41:5 But he went to sleep again and had a second dream, in which he saw seven heads of grain, full and good, all on one stem.	Genesi 41:5 Poi si riaddormentò, e sognò di nuovo; ed ecco sette spighe, grasse e belle, venir su da un unico stelo.
Genesis 41:6 And after them came up seven other heads, thin and wasted by the east wind.	Genesi 41:6 Poi ecco sette spighe, sottili e arse dal vento orientale, germogliare dopo quelle altre.
Genesis 41:7 And the seven thin heads made a meal of the good heads. And when Pharaoh was awake he saw it was a dream.	Genesi 41:7 E le spighe sottili inghiottirono le sette spighe grasse e piene. E Faraone si svegliò: ed ecco, era un sogno.
Genesis 41:8 And in the morning his spirit was troubled; and he sent for all the wise men of Egypt and all the holy men, and put his dream before them, but no one was able to give him the sense of it.	Genesi 41:8 La mattina, lo spirito di Faraone fu conturbato; ed egli mandò a chiamare tutti i magi e tutti i savi d’Egitto, e raccontò loro i suoi sogni; ma non ci fu alcuno che li potesse interpretare a Faraone.
Genesis 41:9 Then the chief wine-servant said to Pharaoh, The memory of my sin comes back to me now;	Genesi 41:9 Allora il capo de’ coppieri parlò a Faraone, dicendo: "Ricordo oggi i miei falli.
Genesis 41:10 Pharaoh had been angry with his servants, and had put me in prison in the house of the captain of the army, together with the chief bread-maker;	Genesi 41:10 Faraone s’era sdegnato contro i suoi servitori, e m’avea fatto mettere in prigione in casa del capo delle guardie: me, e il capo de’ panettieri.
Genesis 41:11 And we had a dream on the same night, the two of us, and the dreams had a special sense.	Genesi 41:11 L’uno e l’altro facemmo un sogno, nella medesima notte: facemmo ciascuno un sogno, avente il suo proprio significato.
Genesis 41:12 And there was with us a young Hebrew, the captain's servant, and when we put our dreams before him, he gave us the sense of them.	Genesi 41:12 Or c’era quivi con noi un giovane ebreo, servo del capo delle guardie; a lui raccontammo i nostri sogni, ed egli ce li interpretò, dando a ciascuno l’interpretazione del suo sogno.
Genesis 41:13 And it came about as he said: I was put back in my place, and the bread-maker was put to death by hanging.	Genesi 41:13 E le cose avvennero secondo l’interpretazione ch’egli ci aveva data: Faraone ristabilì me nel mio ufficio, e l’altro lo fece appiccare".
Genesis 41:14 Then Pharaoh sent for Joseph, and they took him quickly out of prison; and when his hair had been cut and his dress changed, he came before Pharaoh.	Genesi 41:14 Allora Faraone mandò a chiamare Giuseppe, il quale fu tosto tratto fuor dalla prigione sotterranea. Egli si rase, si cambiò il vestito, e venne da Faraone.
Genesis 41:15 And Pharaoh said to Joseph, I have had a dream, and no one is able to give me the sense of it; now it has come to my ears that you are able to give the sense of a dream when it is put before you.	Genesi 41:15 E Faraone disse a Giuseppe: "Ho fatto un sogno, e non c’è chi lo possa interpretare; e ho udito dir di te che, quando t’hanno raccontato un sogno, tu lo puoi interpretare".
Genesis 41:16 Then Joseph said, Without God there will be no answer of peace for Pharaoh.	Genesi 41:16 Giuseppe rispose a Faraone, dicendo: "Non son io; ma sarà Dio che darà a Faraone una risposta favorevole".
Genesis 41:17 Then Pharaoh said, In my dream I was by the side of the Nile:	Genesi 41:17 E Faraone disse a Giuseppe: "Nel mio sogno, io stavo sulla riva del fiume;
Genesis 41:18 And out of the Nile came seven cows, fat and good-looking, and their food was the river-grass;	Genesi 41:18 quand’ecco salir dal fiume sette vacche grasse e di bell’apparenza, e mettersi a pascere nella giuncaia.
Genesis 41:19 Then after them came seven other cows, very thin and poor-looking, worse than any I ever saw in the land of Egypt;	Genesi 41:19 E, dopo quelle, ecco salire altre sette vacche magre, di bruttissima apparenza e scarne: tali, che non ne vidi mai di così brutte in tutto il paese d’Egitto.
Genesis 41:20 And the thin cows made a meal of the seven fat cows who came up first;	Genesi 41:20 E le vacche magre e brutte divorarono le prime sette vacche grasse;
Genesis 41:21 And even with the fat cows inside them they seemed as bad as before. And so I came out of my sleep.	Genesi 41:21 e quelle entrarono loro in corpo, e non si riconobbe che vi fossero entrate; erano di brutt’apparenza come prima. E mi svegliai.
Genesis 41:22 And again in a dream I saw seven heads of grain, full and good, coming up on one stem:	Genesi 41:22 Poi vidi ancora nel mio sogno sette spighe venir su da un unico stelo, piene e belle;
Genesis 41:23 And then I saw seven other heads, dry, thin, and wasted by the east wind, coming up after them:	Genesi 41:23 ed ecco altre sette spighe vuote, sottili e arse dal vento orientale, germogliare dopo quelle altre.
Genesis 41:24 And the seven thin heads made a meal of the seven good heads; and I put this dream before the wise men, but not one of them was able to give me the sense of it.	Genesi 41:24 E le spighe sottili inghiottirono le sette spighe belle. Io ho raccontato questo al magi; ma non c’è stato alcuno che abbia saputo spiegarmelo".
Genesis 41:25 Then Joseph said, These two dreams have the same sense: God has made clear to Pharaoh what he is about to do.	Genesi 41:25 Allora Giuseppe disse a Faraone: "Ciò che Faraone ha sognato è una stessa cosa. Iddio ha significato a Faraone quello che sta per fare.
Genesis 41:26 The seven fat cows are seven years, and the seven good heads of grain are seven years: the two have the same sense.	Genesi 41:26 Le sette vacche belle sono sette anni, e le sette spighe belle sono sette anni; è uno stesso sogno.
Genesis 41:27 The seven thin and poor-looking cows who came up after them are seven years; and the seven heads of grain, dry and wasted by the east wind, are seven years when there will be no food.	Genesi 41:27 E le sette vacche magre e brutte che salivano dopo quelle altre, sono sette anni; come pure le sette spighe vuote e arse dal vento orientale saranno sette anni di carestia.
Genesis 41:28 As I said to Pharaoh before, God has made clear to him what he is about to do.	Genesi 41:28 Questo è quel che ho detto a Faraone: Iddio ha mostrato a Faraone quello che sta per fare.
Genesis 41:29 Seven years are coming in which there will be great wealth of grain in Egypt;	Genesi 41:29 Ecco, stanno per venire sette anni di grande abbondanza in tutto il paese d’Egitto;
Genesis 41:30 And after that will come seven years when there will not be enough food; and the memory of the good years will go from men's minds; and the land will be made waste by the bad years;	Genesi 41:30 e dopo, verranno sette anni di carestia; e tutta quell’abbondanza sarà dimenticata nel paese d’Egitto, e la carestia consumerà il paese.
Genesis 41:31 And men will have no memory of the good time because of the need which will come after, for it will be very bitter.	Genesi 41:31 E uno non si accorgerà più di quell’abbondanza nel paese, a motivo della carestia che seguirà; perché questa sarà molto aspra.
Genesis 41:32 And this dream came to Pharaoh twice, because this thing is certain, and God will quickly make it come about.	Genesi 41:32 E l’essersi il sogno replicato due volte a Faraone vuol dire che la cosa è decretata da Dio, e che Dio l’eseguirà tosto.
Genesis 41:33 And now let Pharaoh make search for a man of wisdom and good sense, and put him in authority over the land of Egypt.	Genesi 41:33 Or dunque si provveda Faraone d’un uomo intelligente e savio e lo stabilisca sul paese d’Egitto.
Genesis 41:34 Let Pharaoh do this, and let him put overseers over the land of Egypt to put in store a fifth part of the produce of the land in the good years.	Genesi 41:34 Faraone faccia così: Costituisca de’ commissari sul paese per prelevare il quinto delle raccolte del paese d’Egitto, durante i sette anni dell’abbondanza.
Genesis 41:35 And let them get together all the food in those good years and make a store of grain under Pharaoh's control for the use of the towns, and let them keep it.	Genesi 41:35 E radunino essi tutti i viveri di queste sette buone annate che stan per venire, e ammassino il grano a disposizione di Faraone per l’approvvigionamento delle città, e lo conservino.
Genesis 41:36 And let that food be kept in store for the land till the seven bad years which are to come in Egypt; so that the land may not come to destruction through need of food.	Genesi 41:36 Questi viveri saranno una riserva per il paese, in vista dei sette anni di carestia che verranno nel paese d’Egitto; e così il paese non perirà per la carestia".
Genesis 41:37 And this seemed good to Pharaoh and to all his servants.	Genesi 41:37 Piacque la cosa a Faraone e a tutti i suoi servitori.
Genesis 41:38 Then Pharaoh said to his servants, Where may we get such a man as this, a man in whom is the spirit of God?	Genesi 41:38 E Faraone disse ai suoi servitori: "Potremmo noi trovare un uomo pari a questo, in cui sia lo spirito di Dio?"
Genesis 41:39 And Pharaoh said to Joseph, Seeing that God has made all this clear to you, there is no other man of such wisdom and good sense as you:	Genesi 41:39 E Faraone disse a Giuseppe: "Giacché Iddio t’ha fatto conoscere tutto questo, non v’è alcuno che sia intelligente e savio al pari di te.
Genesis 41:40 You, then, are to be over my house, and all my people will be ruled by your word: only as king will I be greater than you.	Genesi 41:40 Tu sarai sopra la mia casa, e tutto il mio popolo obbedirà ai tuoi ordini; per il trono soltanto, io sarò più grande di te".
Genesis 41:41 And Pharaoh said to Joseph, See, I have put you over all the land of Egypt.	Genesi 41:41 E Faraone disse a Giuseppe: "Vedi, io ti stabilisco su tutto il paese d’Egitto".
Genesis 41:42 Then Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand and put it on Joseph's hand, and he had him clothed with the best linen, and put a chain of gold round his neck;	Genesi 41:42 E Faraone si tolse l’anello di mano e lo mise alla mano di Giuseppe; lo fece vestire di abiti di lino fino, e gli mise al collo una collana d’oro.
Genesis 41:43 And he made him take his seat in the second of his carriages; and they went before him crying, Make way! So he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt.	Genesi 41:43 Lo fece montare sul suo secondo carro, e davanti a lui si gridava: "In ginocchio!" Così Faraone lo costituì su tutto il paese d’Egitto.
Genesis 41:44 Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, I am Pharaoh; and without your order no man may do anything in all the land of Egypt.	Genesi 41:44 E Faraone disse a Giuseppe: "Io son Faraone! e senza te, nessuno alzerà la mano o il piede in tutto il paese d’Egitto".
Genesis 41:45 And Pharaoh gave Joseph the name of Zaphnath-paaneah; and he gave him Asenath, the daughter of Poti-phera, the priest of On, to be his wife. So Joseph went through all the land of Egypt.	Genesi 41:45 E Faraone chiamò Giuseppe Tsafnath-Paneach e gli dette per moglie Asenath figliuola di Potifera, sacerdote di On. E Giuseppe partì per visitare il paese d’Egitto.
Genesis 41:46 Now Joseph was thirty years old when he came before Pharaoh, king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from before the face of Pharaoh and went through all the land of Egypt.	Genesi 41:46 Or Giuseppe avea trent’anni quando si presentò dinanzi a Faraone re d’Egitto. E Giuseppe uscì dal cospetto di Faraone, e percorse tutto il paese d’Egitto.
Genesis 41:47 Now in the seven good years the earth gave fruit in masses.	Genesi 41:47 Durante i sette anni d’abbondanza, la terra produsse a piene mani;
Genesis 41:48 And Joseph got together all the food of those seven years, and made a store of food in the towns: the produce of the fields round every town was stored up in the town.	Genesi 41:48 e Giuseppe adunò tutti i viveri di quei sette anni che vennero nel paese d’Egitto, e ripose i viveri nelle città; ripose in ogni città i viveri del territorio circonvicino.
Genesis 41:49 So he got together a store of grain like the sand of the sea; so great a store that after a time he gave up measuring it, for it might not be measured.	Genesi 41:49 Così Giuseppe ammassò grano come la rena del mare; in così gran quantità, che si smise di contarlo, perch’era innumerevole.
Genesis 41:50 And before the time of need, Joseph had two sons, to whom Asenath, the daughter of Poti-phera, priest of On, gave birth.	Genesi 41:50 Or avanti che venisse il primo anno della carestia, nacquero a Giuseppe due figliuoli, che Asenath figliuola di Potifera sacerdote di On gli partorì.
Genesis 41:51 And to the first he gave the name Manasseh, for he said, God has taken away from me all memory of my hard life and of my father's house.	Genesi 41:51 E Giuseppe chiamò il primogenito Manasse, perché, disse, "Iddio m’ha fatto dimenticare ogni mio affanno e tutta la casa di mio padre".
Genesis 41:52 And to the second he gave the name Ephraim, for he said, God has given me fruit in the land of my sorrow.	Genesi 41:52 E al secondo pose nome Efraim, perché, disse, "Iddio m’ha reso fecondo nel paese della mia afflizione".
Genesis 41:53 And so the seven good years in Egypt came to an end.	Genesi 41:53 I sette anni d’abbondanza ch’erano stati nel paese d’Egitto, finirono;
Genesis 41:54 Then came the first of the seven years of need as Joseph had said: and in every other land they were short of food; but in the land of Egypt there was bread.	Genesi 41:54 e cominciarono a venire i sette anni della carestia, come Giuseppe avea detto. E ci fu carestia in tutti i paesi; ma in tutto il paese d’Egitto c’era del pane.
Genesis 41:55 And when all the land of Egypt was in need of food, the people came crying to Pharaoh for bread; and Pharaoh said to the people, Go to Joseph, and whatever he says to you, do it.	Genesi 41:55 Poi la carestia si estese a tutto il paese d’Egitto, e il popolo gridò a Faraone per aver del pane. E Faraone disse a tutti gli Egiziani: "Andate da Giuseppe, e fate quello che vi dirà".
Genesis 41:56 And everywhere on the earth they were short of food; then Joseph, opening all his store-houses, gave the people of Egypt grain for money; so great was the need of food in the land of Egypt.	Genesi 41:56 La carestia era sparsa su tutta la superficie del paese, e Giuseppe aperse tutti i depositi e vendé grano agli Egiziani. E la carestia s’aggravò nel paese d’Egitto.
Genesis 41:57 And all lands sent to Egypt, to Joseph, to get grain, for the need was great over all the earth.	Genesi 41:57 E da tutti i paesi si veniva in Egitto da Giuseppe per comprar del grano, perché la carestia era grave per tutta la terra.
