Deuteronomium 14:1 Ihr seid die Kinder des HERRN, eures Gottes; ihr sollt euch nicht Male stechen noch kahl scheren über den Augen über einem Toten.	Deuteronomy 14:1 You are the children of the Lord your God: you are not to make cuts on your bodies or take off the hair on your brows in honour of the dead;
Deuteronomium 14:2 Denn du bist ein heiliges Volk dem HERRN, deinem Gott; und der HERR hat dich erwählt, daß du sein Eigentum seist, aus allen Völkern, die auf Erden sind.	Deuteronomy 14:2 For you are a holy people to the Lord your God, and the Lord has taken you to be his special people out of all the nations on the face of the earth.
Deuteronomium 14:3 Du sollst keine Greuel essen.	Deuteronomy 14:3 No disgusting thing may be your food.
Deuteronomium 14:4 Das sind aber die Tiere, die ihr essen sollt: Ochs, Schaf, Ziege,	Deuteronomy 14:4 These are the beasts which you may have for food: the ox, the sheep, and the goat;
Deuteronomium 14:5 Hirsch, Reh, Büffel, Steinbock, Gemse, Auerochs und Elen;	Deuteronomy 14:5 The hart, the gazelle, and the roe, the mountain goat and the pygarg and the antelope and the mountain sheep.
Deuteronomium 14:6 und alles Tier, das seine Klauen spaltet und wiederkäut, sollt ihr essen.	Deuteronomy 14:6 Any beast which has a division in the horn of its foot and whose food comes back into its mouth to be crushed again, may be used for food.
Deuteronomium 14:7 Das sollt ihr aber nicht essen von dem, das wiederkäut, und von dem, das die Klauen spaltet: das Kamel, der Hase und Kaninchen, die wiederkäuen und doch ihre Klauen nicht spalten, sollen euch unrein sein;	Deuteronomy 14:7 But even among these, there are some which may not be used for food: such as the camel, the hare, and the coney, which are unclean to you, because, though their food comes back, the horn of their feet is not parted in two.
Deuteronomium 14:8 das Schwein, ob es wohl die Klauen spaltet, so wiederkäut es doch nicht: es soll euch unrein sein. Ihr Fleisch sollt ihr nicht essen, und ihr Aas sollt ihr nicht anrühren,	Deuteronomy 14:8 And the pig is unclean to you, because though it has a division in the horn of its foot, its food does not come back; their flesh may not be used for food or their dead bodies touched by you.
Deuteronomium 14:9 Das ist, was ihr essen sollt von allem, das in Wassern ist: alles, was Floßfedern und Schuppen hat, sollt ihr essen.	Deuteronomy 14:9 And of the things living in the waters, you may take all those who have wings for swimming with and skins formed of thin plates.
Deuteronomium 14:10 Was aber keine Floßfedern noch Schuppen hat, sollt ihr nicht essen; denn es ist euch unrein.	Deuteronomy 14:10 But any which have no skin-plates or wings for swimming, you may not take; they are unclean for you.
Deuteronomium 14:11 Alle reinen Vögel esset.	Deuteronomy 14:11 All clean birds may be used for food.
Deuteronomium 14:12 Das sind aber die ihr nicht essen sollt: der Adler, der Habicht, der Fischaar,	Deuteronomy 14:12 But these birds you may not take: the eagle and the gier-eagle and the ospray;
Deuteronomium 14:13 der Taucher, der Weih, der Geier mit seiner Art	Deuteronomy 14:13 The falcon and the kite, and birds of that sort;
Deuteronomium 14:14 und alle Raben mit ihrer Art,	Deuteronomy 14:14 Every raven, and all birds of that sort;
Deuteronomium 14:15 der Strauß, die Nachteule, der Kuckuck, der Sperber mit seiner Art,	Deuteronomy 14:15 And the ostrich and the night-hawk and the sea-hawk and birds of that sort;
Deuteronomium 14:16 das Käuzlein, der Uhu, die Fledermaus,	Deuteronomy 14:16 The little owl and the great owl and the water-hen;
Deuteronomium 14:17 die Rohrdommel, der Storch, der Schwan,	Deuteronomy 14:17 And the pelican and the vulture and the cormorant;
Deuteronomium 14:18 der Reiher, der Häher mit seiner Art, der Wiedehopf, die Schwalbe.	Deuteronomy 14:18 The stork and the heron and birds of that sort, and the hoopoe and the bat.
Deuteronomium 14:19 Und alles was Flügel hat und kriecht, soll euch unrein sein, und sollt es nicht essen.	Deuteronomy 14:19 Every winged thing which goes flat on the earth is unclean to you and may not be used as food.
Deuteronomium 14:20 Die reinen Vögel sollt ihr essen.	Deuteronomy 14:20 But all clean birds you may take.
Deuteronomium 14:21 Ihr sollt kein Aas essen-dem Fremdling in deinem Tor magst du es geben, daß er's esse oder daß er's verkaufe einem Ausländer; denn du bist ein heiliges Volk dem HERRN, deinem Gott. Du sollst das Böcklein nicht kochen in der Milch seiner Mutter.	Deuteronomy 14:21 You may not have as food anything which has come to a natural death; the man from another country who is living with you may take it for food, or you may get a price for it from one of another nation; for you are a holy people to the Lord your God. The young goat is not to be cooked in its mother's milk.
Deuteronomium 14:22 Du sollst alle Jahre den Zehnten absondern alles Ertrages deiner Saat, der aus deinem Acker kommt,	Deuteronomy 14:22 Put on one side a tenth of all the increase of your seed, produced year by year.
Deuteronomium 14:23 und sollst davon essen vor dem HERRN, deinem Gott, an dem Ort, den er erwählt, daß sein Name daselbst wohne, nämlich vom Zehnten deines Getreides, deines Mostes, deines Öls und von der Erstgeburt deiner Rinder und deiner Schafe, auf daß du lernst fürchten den HERRN, deinen Gott, dein Leben lang.	Deuteronomy 14:23 And make a feast before the Lord your God, in the place which is to be marked out, where his name will be for ever, of the tenth part of your grain and your wine and your oil, and the first births of your herds and your flocks; so that you may have the fear of the Lord your God in your hearts at all times.
Deuteronomium 14:24 Wenn aber des Weges dir zu viel ist, daß du solches hintragen kannst, darum daß der Ort dir zu ferne ist, den der HERR, dein Gott, erwählt hat, daß er seinen Namen daselbst wohnen lasse :	Deuteronomy 14:24 And if the way is so long that you are not able to take these things to the place marked out by the Lord your God for his name, when he has given you his blessing, because it is far away from you;
Deuteronomium 14:25 so gib's hin um Geld und fasse das Geld in deine Hand und gehe an den Ort, den der HERR, dein Gott, erwählt hat,	Deuteronomy 14:25 Then let these things be exchanged for money, and, taking the money in your hand, go to the place marked out by the Lord your God for himself;
Deuteronomium 14:26 und gib das Geld um alles, was deiner Seele gelüstet, es sei um Rinder, Schafe, Wein, starken Trank oder um alles, das deine Seele wünscht, und iß daselbst vor dem HERRN, deinem Gott, und sei fröhlich, du und dein Haus	Deuteronomy 14:26 And with the money get whatever you have a desire for, oxen or sheep or wine or strong drink, whatever your soul's desire may be: and make a feast there before the Lord your God, and be glad, you and all your house;
Deuteronomium 14:27 und der Levit, der in deinem Tor ist .	Deuteronomy 14:27 And give a thought to the Levite who is living among you, for he has no part or heritage in the land.
Deuteronomium 14:28 Alle drei Jahre sollst du aussondern den Zehnten deines Ertrages desselben Jahrs und sollst's lassen in deinem Tor.	Deuteronomy 14:28 At the end of every three years take a tenth part of all your increase for that year, and put it in store inside your walls:
Deuteronomium 14:29 So soll kommen der Levit und der Fremdling und der Waise und die Witwe, die in deinem Tor sind, und essen und sich sättigen, auf daß dich der HERR, dein Gott, segne in allen Werken deiner Hand, die du tust.	Deuteronomy 14:29 And the Levite, because he has no part or heritage in the land, and the man from a strange country, and the child who has no father, and the widow, who are living among you, will come and take food and have enough; and so the blessing of the Lord your God will be on you in everything you do.
