Proverbi 24:1 Non portare invidia ai malvagi, e non desiderare di star con loro,	Proverbs 24:1 Have no envy for evil men, or any desire to be with them:
Proverbi 24:2 perché il loro cuore medita rapine, e le loro labbra parlan di nuocere.	Proverbs 24:2 For the purposes of their hearts are destruction, and their lips are talking of trouble.
Proverbi 24:3 La casa si edifica con la sapienza, e si rende stabile con la prudenza;	Proverbs 24:3 The building of a house is by wisdom, and by reason it is made strong:
Proverbi 24:4 mediante la scienza, se ne riempiono le stanze d’ogni specie di beni preziosi e gradevoli.	Proverbs 24:4 And by knowledge its rooms are full of all dear and pleasing things.
Proverbi 24:5 L’uomo savio è pien di forza, e chi ha conoscimento accresce la sua potenza;	Proverbs 24:5 A wise man is strong; and a man of knowledge makes strength greater.
Proverbi 24:6 infatti, con savie direzioni potrai condur bene la guerra, e la vittoria sta nel gran numero de’ consiglieri.	Proverbs 24:6 For by wise guiding you will overcome in war: and in a number of wise guides there is salvation.
Proverbi 24:7 La sapienza è troppo in alto per lo stolto; egli non apre mai la bocca alla porta di città.	Proverbs 24:7 Wisdom is outside the power of the foolish: he keeps his mouth shut in the public place.
Proverbi 24:8 Chi pensa a mal fare sarà chiamato esperto in malizia.	Proverbs 24:8 He whose purposes are bad will be named a man of evil designs.
Proverbi 24:9 I disegni dello stolto sono peccato, e il beffardo è l’abominio degli uomini.	Proverbs 24:9 The purpose of the foolish is sin: and the hater of authority is disgusting to others.
Proverbi 24:10 Se ti perdi d’animo nel giorno dell’avversità, la tua forza è poca.	Proverbs 24:10 If you give way in the day of trouble, your strength is small.
Proverbi 24:11 Libera quelli che son condotti a morte, e salva quei che, vacillando, vanno al supplizio.	Proverbs 24:11 Be the saviour of those who are given up to death, and do not keep back help from those who are slipping to destruction.
Proverbi 24:12 Se dici: "Ma noi non ne sapevamo nulla!…" Colui che pesa i cuori, non lo vede egli? Colui che veglia sull’anima tua non lo sa forse? E non renderà egli a ciascuno secondo le opere sue?	Proverbs 24:12 If you say, See, we had no knowledge of this: does not the tester of hearts give thought to it? and he who keeps your soul, has he no knowledge of it? and will he not give to every man the reward of his work?
Proverbi 24:13 Figliuol mio, mangia del miele perché è buono; un favo di miele sarà dolce al tuo palato.	Proverbs 24:13 My son, take honey, for it is good; and the flowing honey, which is sweet to your taste:
Proverbi 24:14 Così conosci la sapienza per il bene dell’anima tua! Se la trovi, c’è un avvenire, e la speranza tua non sarà frustrata.	Proverbs 24:14 So let your desire be for wisdom: if you have it, there will be a future, and your hope will not be cut off.
Proverbi 24:15 O empio, non tendere insidie alla dimora del giusto! non devastare il luogo ove riposa!	Proverbs 24:15 Do not keep a secret watch, O evil-doer, against the fields of the upright man, or send destruction on his resting-place:
Proverbi 24:16 ché il giusto cade sette volte e si rialza, ma gli empi son travolti dalla sventura.	Proverbs 24:16 For an upright man, after falling seven times, will get up again: but trouble is the downfall of the evil.
Proverbi 24:17 Quando il tuo nemico cade, non ti rallegrare; quand’è rovesciato, il cuor tuo non ne gioisca,	Proverbs 24:17 Do not be glad at the fall of your hater, and let not your heart have joy at his downfall:
Proverbi 24:18 che l’Eterno nol vegga e gli dispiaccia e non storni l’ira sua da lui.	Proverbs 24:18 For fear that the Lord may see it, and it may be evil in his eyes, and his wrath may be turned away from him.
Proverbi 24:19 Non t’irritare a motivo di chi fa il male, e non portare invidia agli empi;	Proverbs 24:19 Do not be troubled because of evil-doers, or have envy of sinners:
Proverbi 24:20 perché non c’è avvenire per il malvagio; la lucerna degli empi sarà spenta.	Proverbs 24:20 For there will be no future for the evil man; the light of sinners will be put out.
Proverbi 24:21 Figliuol mio, temi l’Eterno e il re, e non far lega cogli amatori di novità;	Proverbs 24:21 My son, go in fear of the Lord and the king: have nothing to do with those who are in high positions:
Proverbi 24:22 la loro calamità sopraggiungerà improvvisa, e chi sa la triste fine dei loro anni?	Proverbs 24:22 For their downfall will come suddenly; and who has knowledge of the destruction of those in high positions?
Proverbi 24:23 Anche queste sono massime dei Savi. Non è bene, in giudizio, aver de’ riguardi personali.	Proverbs 24:23 These are more sayings of the wise: To have respect for a person's position when judging is not good.
Proverbi 24:24 Chi dice all’empio: "Tu sei giusto", i popoli lo malediranno, lo esecreranno le nazioni.	Proverbs 24:24 He who says to the evil-doer, You are upright, will be cursed by peoples and hated by nations.
Proverbi 24:25 Ma quelli che sanno punire se ne troveranno bene, e su loro scenderanno benedizione e prosperità.	Proverbs 24:25 But those who say sharp words to him will have delight, and a blessing of good will come on them.
Proverbi 24:26 Dà un bacio sulle labbra chi dà una risposta giusta.	Proverbs 24:26 He gives a kiss with his lips who gives a right answer.
Proverbi 24:27 Metti in buon ordine gli affari tuoi di fuori, metti in assetto i tuoi campi, poi ti fabbricherai la casa.	Proverbs 24:27 Put your work in order outside, and make it ready in the field; and after that, see to the building of your house.
Proverbi 24:28 Non testimoniare, senza motivo, contro il tuo prossimo; vorresti tu farti ingannatore con le tue parole?	Proverbs 24:28 Do not be a violent witness against your neighbour, or let your lips say what is false.
Proverbi 24:29 Non dire: "Come ha fatto a me così farò a lui; renderò a costui secondo l’opera sua".	Proverbs 24:29 Say not, I will do to him as he has done to me; I will give the man the reward of his work.
Proverbi 24:30 Passai presso il campo del pigro e presso la vigna dell’uomo privo di senno;	Proverbs 24:30 I went by the field of the hater of work, and by the vine-garden of the man without sense;
Proverbi 24:31 ed ecco le spine vi crescean da per tutto, i rovi ne coprivano il suolo, e il muro di cinta era in rovina.	Proverbs 24:31 And it was all full of thorns, and covered with waste plants, and its stone wall was broken down.
Proverbi 24:32 Considerai la cosa, e mi posi a riflettere; e da quel che vidi trassi una lezione:	Proverbs 24:32 Then looking at it, I gave thought: I saw, and I got teaching from it.
Proverbi 24:33 Dormire un po’, sonnecchiare un po’, incrociare un po’ le mani per riposare…	Proverbs 24:33 A little sleep, a little rest, a little folding of the hands in sleep:
Proverbi 24:34 e la tua povertà verrà come un ladro, e la tua indigenza, come un uomo armato.	Proverbs 24:34 So loss will come on you like an outlaw, and your need like an armed man.
