Psalms 55

Salmos 55:1 ^
ESCUCHA, oh Dios, mi oración, Y no te escondas de mi súplica.
Psalms 55:1 ^
For the Chief Musician; on stringed instruments. Maschil of David. Give ear to my prayer, O God; And hide not thyself from my supplication.
Salmos 55:2 ^
Estáme atento, y respóndeme: Clamo en mi oración, y levanto el grito,
Psalms 55:2 ^
Attend unto me, and answer me: I am restless in my complaint, and moan,
Salmos 55:3 ^
A causa de la voz del enemigo, Por la opresión del impío; Porque echaron sobre mí iniquidad, Y con furor me han amenazado.
Psalms 55:3 ^
Because of the voice of the enemy, Because of the oppression of the wicked; For they cast iniquity upon me, And in anger they persecute me.
Salmos 55:4 ^
Mi corazón está doloroso dentro de mí, Y terrores de muerte sobre mí han caído.
Psalms 55:4 ^
My heart is sore pained within me: And the terrors of death are fallen upon me.
Salmos 55:5 ^
Temor y temblor vinieron sobre mí, Y terror me ha cubierto.
Psalms 55:5 ^
Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, And horror hath overwhelmed me.
Salmos 55:6 ^
Y dije: ¡Quién me diese alas como de paloma! Volaría yo, y descansaría.
Psalms 55:6 ^
And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! Then would I fly away, and be at rest.
Salmos 55:7 ^
Ciertamente huiría lejos: Moraría en el desierto. (Selah.)
Psalms 55:7 ^
Lo, then would I wander far off, I would lodge in the wilderness. Selah
Salmos 55:8 ^
Apresuraríame á escapar Del viento tempestuoso, de la tempestad.
Psalms 55:8 ^
I would haste me to a shelter From the stormy wind and tempest.
Salmos 55:9 ^
Deshace, oh Señor, divide la lengua de ellos; Porque he visto violencia y rencilla en la ciudad.
Psalms 55:9 ^
Destroy, O Lord, [and] divide their tongue; For I have seen violence and strife in the city.
Salmos 55:10 ^
Día y noche la rodean sobre sus muros; E iniquidad y trabajo hay en medio de ella.
Psalms 55:10 ^
Day and night they go about it upon the walls thereof: Iniquity also and mischief are in the midst of it.
Salmos 55:11 ^
Agravios hay en medio de ella, Y el fraude y engaño no se apartan de sus plazas.
Psalms 55:11 ^
Wickedness is in the midst thereof: Oppression and guile depart not from its streets.
Salmos 55:12 ^
Porque no me afrentó un enemigo, Lo cual habría soportado; Ni se alzó contra mí el que me aborrecía, Porque me hubiera ocultado de él:
Psalms 55:12 ^
For it was not an enemy that reproached me; Then I could have borne it: Neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; Then I would have hid myself from him:
Salmos 55:13 ^
Mas tú, hombre, al parecer íntimo mío, Mi guía, y mi familiar:
Psalms 55:13 ^
But it was thou, a man mine equal, My companion, and my familiar friend.
Salmos 55:14 ^
Que juntos comunicábamos dulcemente los secretos, A la casa de Dios andábamos en compañía.
Psalms 55:14 ^
We took sweet counsel together; We walked in the house of God with the throng.
Salmos 55:15 ^
Condenados sean á muerte, Desciendan vivos al infierno: Porque maldades hay en su compañía, entre ellos.
Psalms 55:15 ^
Let death come suddenly upon them, Let them go down alive into Sheol; For wickedness is in their dwelling, in the midst of them.
Salmos 55:16 ^
Yo á Dios clamaré; Y Jehová me salvará.
Psalms 55:16 ^
As for me, I will call upon God; And Jehovah will save me.
Salmos 55:17 ^
Tarde y mañana y á medio día oraré y clamaré; Y él oirá mi voz.
Psalms 55:17 ^
Evening, and morning, and at noonday, will I complain, and moan; And he will hear my voice.
Salmos 55:18 ^
El ha redimido en paz mi alma de la guerra contra mí; Pues fueron contra mí muchos.
Psalms 55:18 ^
He hath redeemed my soul in peace from the battle that was against me; For they were many [that strove] with me.
Salmos 55:19 ^
Dios oirá, y los quebrantará luego, El que desde la antigüedad permanece (Selah); Por cuanto no se mudan, Ni temen á Dios.
Psalms 55:19 ^
God will hear, and answer them, Even he that abideth of old, Selah [The men] who have no changes, And who fear not God.
Salmos 55:20 ^
Extendió sus manos contra sus pacíficos: Viólo su pacto.
Psalms 55:20 ^
He hath put forth his hands against such as were at peace with him: He hath profaned his covenant.
Salmos 55:21 ^
Ablandan más que manteca su boca, Pero guerra hay en su corazón: Suavizan sus palabras más que el aceite, Mas ellas son cuchillos.
Psalms 55:21 ^
His mouth was smooth as butter, But his heart was war: His words were softer than oil, Yet were they drawn swords.
Salmos 55:22 ^
Echa sobre Jehová tu carga, y él te sustentará; No dejará para siempre caído al justo.
Psalms 55:22 ^
Cast thy burden upon Jehovah, and he will sustain thee: He will never suffer the righteous to be moved.
Salmos 55:23 ^
Mas tú, oh Dios, harás descender aquéllos al pozo de la sepultura: Los hombres sanguinarios y engañadores no demediarán sus días: Empero yo confiaré en ti.
Psalms 55:23 ^
But thou, O God, wilt bring them down into the pit of destruction: Bloodthirsty and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; But I will trust in thee.
