| A Song of the going up. Lord, give thought to David, and to all his troubles; | ACUÉRDATE, oh Jehová, de David, Y de toda su aflicción; |
| How he made an oath to the Lord, and gave his word to the great God of Jacob, saying, | Que juró él á Jehová, Prometió al Fuerte de Jacob: |
| Truly, I will not come into my house, or go to my bed, | No entraré en la morada de mi casa, Ni subiré sobre el lecho de mi estrado; |
| I will not give sleep to my eyes, or rest to my eyeballs, | No daré sueño á mis ojos, Ni á mis párpados adormecimiento. |
| Till I have got a place for the Lord, a resting-place for the great God of Jacob. | Hasta que halle lugar para Jehová, Moradas para el Fuerte de Jacob. |
| We had news of it at Ephrathah: we came to it in the fields of the wood. | He aquí, en Ephrata oímos de ella: Hallamósla en los campos del bosque. |
| Let us go into his tent; let us give worship at his feet. | Entraremos en sus tiendas; Encorvarnos hemos al estrado de sus pies. |
| Come back, O Lord, to your resting-place; you and the ark of your strength. | Levántate, oh Jehová, á tu reposo; Tú y el arca de tu fortaleza. |
| Let your priests be clothed with righteousness; and let your saints give cries of joy. | Tus sacerdotes se vistan de justicia, Y regocíjense tus santos. |
| Because of your servant David, do not give up your king. | Por amor de David tu siervo No vuelvas de tu ungido el rostro. |
| The Lord gave a true oath to David, which he will not take back, saying, I will give your kingdom to the fruit of your body. | En verdad juró Jehová á David, No se apartará de ellos: Del fruto de tu vientre pondré sobre tu trono. |
| If your children keep my word, and the teachings which I will give them, their children will be rulers of your kingdom for ever. | Si tus hijos guardaren mi alianza, Y mi testimonio que yo les enseñaré, Sus hijos también se sentarán sobre tu trono para siempre. |
| For the Lord's heart is on Zion, desiring it for his resting-place. | Porque Jehová ha elegido á Sión; Deseóla por habitación para sí. |
| This is my rest for ever: here will I ever be; for this is my desire. | Este es mi reposo para siempre: Aquí habitaré, porque la he deseado. |
| My blessing will be on her food; and her poor will be full of bread. | A su mantenimiento daré bendición: Sus pobres saciaré de pan. |
| Her priests will be clothed with salvation; and her saints will give cries of joy. | Asimismo vestiré á sus sacerdotes de salud, Y sus santos darán voces de júbilo. |
| There I will make the horn of David fertile: I have made ready a light for my king. | Allí haré reverdecer el cuerno de David: He prevenido lámpara á mi ungido. |
| His haters will be clothed with shame; but I will make his crown shining. | A sus enemigos vestiré de confusión: Mas sobre él florecerá su corona. |
