| And Saul gave approval to his death. Now at that time a violent attack was started against the church in Jerusalem; and all but the Apostles went away into all parts of Judaea and Samaria. | Савл же одобрял убиение его. В те дни произошло великое гонение на церковь в Иерусалиме; и все, кроме Апостолов, рассеялись по разным местам Иудеи и Самарии. |
| And God-fearing men put Stephen's body in its last resting-place, making great weeping over him. | Стефана же погребли мужи благоговейные, и сделали великий плач по нем. |
| But Saul was burning with hate against the church, going into every house and taking men and women and putting them in prison. | А Савл терзал церковь, входя в домы и влача мужчин и женщин, отдавал в темницу. |
| But those who had gone in flight went everywhere preaching the word. | Между тем рассеявшиеся ходили и благовествовали слово. |
| And Philip went down to Samaria and was teaching them about Christ. | Так Филипп пришел в город Самарийский и проповедывал им Христа. |
| And all the people gave attention to the words which Philip said, when they saw the signs which he did. | Народ единодушно внимал тому, что говорил Филипп, слыша и видя, какие он творил чудеса. |
| For unclean spirits came out from those who had them, crying with a loud voice; and a number of those who were ill and broken in body were made well. | Ибо нечистые духи из многих, одержимых ими, выходили с великим воплем, а многие расслабленные и хромые исцелялись. |
| And there was much joy in that town. | И была радость великая в том городе. |
| But there was a certain man named Simon, who in the past had been a wonder-worker and a cause of surprise to the people of Samaria, saying that he himself was a great man: | Находился же в городе некоторый муж, именем Симон, который перед тем волхвовал и изумлял народ Самарийский, выдавая себя за кого-то великого. |
| To whom they all gave attention, from the smallest to the greatest, saying, This man is that power of God which is named Great. | Ему внимали все, от малого до большого, говоря: сей есть великая сила Божия. |
| And they gave attention to him, because for a long time his wonder-working powers had kept them under his control. | А внимали ему потому, что он немалое время изумлял их волхвованиями. |
| But when they had faith in the good news given by Philip about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, a number of men and women had baptism. | Но, когда поверили Филиппу, благовествующему о Царствии Божием и о имени Иисуса Христа, то крестились и мужчины и женщины. |
| And Simon himself had faith and, having had baptism, he went with Philip and, seeing the signs and the great wonders which he did, he was full of surprise. | Уверовал и сам Симон и, крестившись, не отходил от Филиппа; и, видя совершающиеся великие силы и знамения, изумлялся. |
| Now when the Apostles at Jerusalem had news that the people of Samaria had taken the word of God into their hearts, they sent to them Peter and John; | Находившиеся в Иерусалиме Апостолы, услышав, что Самаряне приняли слово Божие, послали к ним Петра и Иоанна, |
| Who, when they came there, made prayer for them, that the Holy Spirit might be given to them: | которые, придя, помолились о них, чтобы они приняли Духа Святаго. |
| For up to that time he had not come on any of them; only baptism had been given to them in the name of the Lord Jesus. | Ибо Он не сходил еще ни на одного из них, а только были они крещены во имя Господа Иисуса. |
| Then they put their hands on them, and the Holy Spirit came on them. | Тогда возложили руки на них, и они приняли Духа Святаго. |
| Now when Simon saw that the Holy Spirit was given through the touch of the Apostles' hands, he made them an offering of money, saying, | Симон же, увидев, что через возложение рук Апостольских подается Дух Святый, принес им деньги, |
| Give me this power, so that when I put my hands on anyone he may get the Holy Spirit. | говоря: дайте и мне власть сию, чтобы тот, на кого я возложу руки, получал Духа Святаго. |
| But Peter said, May your money come to destruction with you, because you had the idea that what is freely given by God may be got for a price. | Но Петр сказал ему: серебро твое да будет в погибель с тобою, потому что ты помыслил дар Божий получить за деньги. |
| You have no part in this business, because your heart is not right before God. | Нет тебе в сем части и жребия, ибо сердце твое неправо пред Богом. |
| Let your heart be changed, and make prayer to God that you may have forgiveness for your evil thoughts. | Итак покайся в сем грехе твоем, и молись Богу: может быть, опустится тебе помысел сердца твоего; |
| For I see that you are prisoned in bitter envy and the chains of sin. | ибо вижу тебя исполненного горькой желчи и в узах неправды. |
| And Simon, answering, said, Make prayer for me to the Lord, so that these things which you have said may not come on me. | Симон же сказал в ответ: помолитесь вы за меня Господу, дабы не постигло меня ничто из сказанного вами. |
| So they, having given their witness and made clear the word of the Lord, went back to Jerusalem, giving the good news on their way in a number of the small towns of Samaria. | Они же, засвидетельствовав и проповедав слово Господне, обратно пошли в Иерусалим и во многих селениях Самарийских проповедали Евангелие. |
| But an angel of the Lord said to Philip, Get up, and go to the south, to the road which goes from Jerusalem to Gaza, through the waste land. | А Филиппу Ангел Господень сказал: встань и иди на полдень, на дорогу, идущую из Иерусалима в Газу, на ту, которая пуста. |
| And he went and there was a man of Ethiopia, a servant of great authority under Candace, queen of the Ethiopians, and controller of all her property, who had come up to Jerusalem for worship; | Он встал и пошел. И вот, муж Ефиоплянин, евнух, вельможа Кандакии, царицы Ефиопской, хранитель всех сокровищ ее, приезжавший в Иерусалим для поклонения, |
| He was going back, seated in his carriage, and was reading the book of the prophet Isaiah. | возвращался и, сидя на колеснице своей, читал пророка Исаию. |
| And the Spirit said to Philip, Go near, and get on his carriage. | Дух сказал Филиппу: подойди и пристань к сей колеснице. |
| And Philip, running up to him, saw that he was reading Isaiah the prophet, and said to him, Is the sense of what you are reading clear to you? | Филипп подошел и, услышав, что он читает пророка Исаию, сказал: разумеешь ли, что читаешь? |
| And he said, How is that possible when I have no guide? And he made Philip get up by his side. | Он сказал: как могу разуметь, если кто не наставит меня? и попросил Филиппа взойти и сесть с ним. |
| Now the place in the book where he was reading was this: He was taken, like a sheep, to be put to death; and as a lamb is quiet when its wool is being cut, so he made no sound: | А место из Писания, которое он читал, было сие: как овца, веден был Он на заклание, и, как агнец пред стригущим его безгласен, так Он не отверзает уст Своих. |
| Being of low degree, his cause was not given a hearing: who has knowledge of his family? for his life is cut off from the earth. | В уничижении Его суд Его совершился. Но род Его кто разъяснит? ибо вземлется от земли жизнь Его. |
| And the Ethiopian said to Philip, About whom are these words said by the prophet? about himself, or some other? | Евнух же сказал Филиппу: прошу тебя [сказать]: о ком пророк говорит это? о себе ли, или о ком другом? |
| So Philip, starting from this writing, gave him the good news about Jesus. | Филипп отверз уста свои и, начав от сего Писания, благовествовал ему об Иисусе. |
| And while they were going on their way, they came to some water, and the Ethiopian said, See, here is water; why may I not have baptism? | Между тем, продолжая путь, они приехали к воде; и евнух сказал: вот вода; что препятствует мне креститься? |
| [] | Филипп же сказал ему: если веруешь от всего сердца, можно. Он сказал в ответ: верую, что Иисус Христос есть Сын Божий. |
| And he gave orders for the carriage to be stopped, and the two of them went down into the water, and Philip gave him baptism. | И приказал остановить колесницу, и сошли оба в воду, Филипп и евнух; и крестил его. |
| And when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord took Philip away; and the Ethiopian saw him no more, for he went on his way full of joy. | Когда же они вышли из воды, Дух Святый сошел на евнуха, а Филиппа восхитил Ангел Господень, и евнух уже не видел его, и продолжал путь, радуясь. |
| But Philip came to Azotus, and went through all the towns, preaching the good news, till he came to Caesarea. | А Филипп оказался в Азоте и, проходя, благовествовал всем городам, пока пришел в Кесарию. |
