Salmos 78

Psalms 78:1 ^
Maschil. Of Asaph. Give ear, O my people, to my law; let your ears be bent down to the words of my mouth.
Salmos 78:1 ^
Escutai o meu ensino, povo meu; inclinai os vossos ouvidos às palavras da minha boca.
Psalms 78:2 ^
Opening my mouth I will give out a story, even the dark sayings of old times;
Salmos 78:2 ^
Abrirei a minha boca numa parábola; proporei enigmas da antigüidade,
Psalms 78:3 ^
Which have come to our hearing and our knowledge, as they were given to us by our fathers.
Salmos 78:3 ^
coisas que temos ouvido e sabido, e que nossos pais nos têm contado.
Psalms 78:4 ^
We will not keep them secret from our children; we will make clear to the coming generation the praises of the Lord and his strength, and the great works of wonder which he has done.
Salmos 78:4 ^
Não os encobriremos aos seus filhos, cantaremos às gerações vindouras os louvores do Senhor, assim como a sua força e as maravilhas que tem feito.
Psalms 78:5 ^
He put up a witness in Jacob, and made a law in Israel; which he gave to our fathers so that they might give knowledge of them to their children;
Salmos 78:5 ^
Porque ele estabeleceu um testemunho em Jacó, e instituiu uma lei em Israel, as quais coisas ordenou aos nossos pais que as ensinassem a seus filhos;
Psalms 78:6 ^
So that the generation to come might have knowledge of them, even the children of the future, who would give word of them to their children;
Salmos 78:6 ^
para que as soubesse a geração vindoura, os filhos que houvesse de nascer, os quais se levantassem e as contassem a seus filhos,
Psalms 78:7 ^
So that they might put their hope in God, and not let God's works go out of their minds, but keep his laws;
Salmos 78:7 ^
a fim de que pusessem em Deus a sua esperança, e não se esquecessem das obras de Deus, mas guardassem os seus mandamentos;
Psalms 78:8 ^
And not be like their fathers, a stiff-necked and uncontrolled generation; a generation whose heart was hard, whose spirit was not true to God.
Salmos 78:8 ^
e que não fossem como seus pais, geração contumaz e rebelde, geração de coração instável, cujo espírito não foi fiel para com Deus.
Psalms 78:9 ^
The children of Ephraim, armed with bows, were turned back on the day of the fight.
Salmos 78:9 ^
Os filhos de Efraim, armados de arcos, retrocederam no dia da peleja.
Psalms 78:10 ^
They were not ruled by God's word, and they would not go in the way of his law;
Salmos 78:10 ^
Não guardaram o pacto de Deus, e recusaram andar na sua lei;
Psalms 78:11 ^
They let his works go out of their memory, and the wonders which he had made them see.
Salmos 78:11 ^
esqueceram-se das suas obras e das maravilhas que lhes fizera ver.
Psalms 78:12 ^
He did great works before the eyes of their fathers, in the land of Egypt, in the fields of Zoan.
Salmos 78:12 ^
Maravilhas fez ele à vista de seus pais na terra do Egito, no campo de Zoá.
Psalms 78:13 ^
The sea was cut in two so that they might go through; the waters were massed together on this side and on that.
Salmos 78:13 ^
Dividiu o mar, e os fez passar por ele; fez com que as águas parassem como um montão.
Psalms 78:14 ^
In the daytime he was guiding them in the cloud, and all through the night with a light of fire.
Salmos 78:14 ^
Também os guiou de dia por uma nuvem, e a noite toda por um clarão de fogo.
Psalms 78:15 ^
The rocks of the waste land were broken by his power, and he gave them drink as out of the deep waters.
Salmos 78:15 ^
Fendeu rochas no deserto, e deu-lhes de beber abundantemente como de grandes abismos.
Psalms 78:16 ^
He made streams come out of the rock; and waters came flowing down like rivers.
Salmos 78:16 ^
Da penha fez sair fontes, e fez correr águas como rios.
Psalms 78:17 ^
And they went on sinning against him even more, turning away from the Most High in the waste land;
Salmos 78:17 ^
Todavia ainda prosseguiram em pecar contra ele, rebelando-se contra o Altíssimo no deserto.
Psalms 78:18 ^
Testing God in their hearts, requesting meat for their desire.
Salmos 78:18 ^
E tentaram a Deus nos seus corações, pedindo comida segundo o seu apetite.
Psalms 78:19 ^
They said bitter words against God, saying, Is God able to make ready a table in the waste land?
Salmos 78:19 ^
Também falaram contra Deus, dizendo: Poderá Deus porventura preparar uma mesa no deserto? Acaso fornecerá carne para o seu povo?
Psalms 78:20 ^
See, the rock was cut open by his power, so that the water came rushing out, and overflowing streams; is he able to give us bread? is he able to get meat for his people?
Salmos 78:20 ^
Pelo que o Senhor, quando os ouviu, se indignou; e acendeu um fogo contra Jacó, e a sua ira subiu contra Israel;
Psalms 78:21 ^
So these things came to the Lord's ears, and he was angry; and a fire was lighted against Jacob, and wrath came up against Israel;
Salmos 78:21 ^
Pelo que o Senhor, quando os ouviu, se indignou; e acendeu um fogo contra Jacó, e a sua ira subiu contra Israel;
Psalms 78:22 ^
Because they had no faith in God, and no hope in his salvation.
Salmos 78:22 ^
porque não creram em Deus nem confiaram na sua salvação.
Psalms 78:23 ^
And he gave orders to the clouds on high, and the doors of heaven were open;
Salmos 78:23 ^
Contudo ele ordenou às nuvens lá em cima, e abriu as portas dos céus;
Psalms 78:24 ^
And he sent down manna like rain for their food, and gave them the grain of heaven.
Salmos 78:24 ^
fez chover sobre eles maná para comerem, e deu-lhes do trigo dos céus.
Psalms 78:25 ^
Man took part in the food of strong ones; he sent them meat in full measure.
Salmos 78:25 ^
Cada um comeu o pão dos poderosos; ele lhes mandou comida em abundância.
Psalms 78:26 ^
He sent an east wind from heaven, driving on the south wind by his power.
Salmos 78:26 ^
Fez soprar nos céus o vento do oriente, e pelo seu poder trouxe o vento sul.
Psalms 78:27 ^
He sent down meat on them like dust, and feathered birds like the sand of the sea,
Salmos 78:27 ^
Sobre eles fez também chover carne como poeira, e aves de asas como a areia do mar;
Psalms 78:28 ^
And he let it come down into their resting-place, round about their tents.
Salmos 78:28 ^
e as fez cair no meio do arraial deles, ao redor de suas habitações.
Psalms 78:29 ^
So they had food and were full; for he gave them their desire;
Salmos 78:29 ^
Então comeram e se fartaram bem, pois ele lhes trouxe o que cobiçavam.
Psalms 78:30 ^
But they were not turned from their desires; and while the food was still in their mouths,
Salmos 78:30 ^
Não refrearam a sua cobiça. Ainda lhes estava a comida na boca,
Psalms 78:31 ^
The wrath of God came on them, and put to death the fattest of them, and put an end to the young men of Israel.
Salmos 78:31 ^
quando a ira de Deus se levantou contra eles, e matou os mais fortes deles, e prostrou os escolhidos de Israel.
Psalms 78:32 ^
For all this they went on sinning even more, and had no faith in his great wonders.
Salmos 78:32 ^
Com tudo isso ainda pecaram, e não creram nas suas maravilhas.
Psalms 78:33 ^
So their days were wasted like a breath, and their years in trouble.
Salmos 78:33 ^
Pelo que consumiu os seus dias como um sopo, e os seus anos em repentino terror.
Psalms 78:34 ^
When he sent death on them, then they made search for him; turning to him and looking for him with care;
Salmos 78:34 ^
Quando ele os fazia morrer, então o procuravam; arrependiam-se, e de madrugada buscavam a Deus.
Psalms 78:35 ^
In the memory that God was their Rock, and the Most High God their saviour.
Salmos 78:35 ^
Lembravam-se de que Deus era a sua rocha, e o Deus Altíssimo o seu Redentor.
Psalms 78:36 ^
But their lips were false to him, and their tongues were untrue to him;
Salmos 78:36 ^
Todavia lisonjeavam-no com a boca, e com a língua lhe mentiam.
Psalms 78:37 ^
And their hearts were not right with him, and they did not keep their agreement with him.
Salmos 78:37 ^
Pois o coração deles não era constante para com ele, nem foram eles fiéis ao seu pacto.
Psalms 78:38 ^
But he, being full of pity, has forgiveness for sin, and does not put an end to man: frequently turning back his wrath, and not being violently angry.
Salmos 78:38 ^
Mas ele, sendo compassivo, perdoou a sua iniqüidade, e não os destruiu; antes muitas vezes desviou deles a sua cólera, e não acendeu todo o seu furor.
Psalms 78:39 ^
So he kept in mind that they were only flesh; a breath which is quickly gone, and will not come again.
Salmos 78:39 ^
Porque se lembrou de que eram carne, um vento que passa e não volta.
Psalms 78:40 ^
How frequently did they go against him in the waste land, and give him cause for grief in the dry places!
Salmos 78:40 ^
Quantas vezes se rebelaram contra ele no deserto, e o ofenderam no ermo!
Psalms 78:41 ^
Again they put God to the test, and gave pain to the Holy One of Israel.
Salmos 78:41 ^
Voltaram atrás, e tentaram a Deus; e provocaram o Santo de Israel.
Psalms 78:42 ^
They did not keep in mind the work of his hand, or the day when he took them from the power of their haters;
Salmos 78:42 ^
Não se lembraram do seu poder, nem do dia em que os remiu do adversário,
Psalms 78:43 ^
How he had done his signs in Egypt, and his wonders in the field of Zoan;
Salmos 78:43 ^
nem de como operou os seus sinais no Egito, e as suas maravilhas no campo de Zoã,
Psalms 78:44 ^
So that their rivers were turned to blood, and they were not able to get drink from their streams.
Salmos 78:44 ^
convertendo em sangue os seus rios, para que não pudessem beber das suas correntes.
Psalms 78:45 ^
He sent different sorts of flies among them, poisoning their flesh; and frogs for their destruction.
Salmos 78:45 ^
Também lhes mandou enxames de moscas que os consumiram, e rãs que os destruíram.
Psalms 78:46 ^
He gave the increase of their fields to worms, the fruits of their industry to the locusts.
Salmos 78:46 ^
Entregou às lagartas as novidades deles, e o fruto do seu trabalho aos gafanhotos.
Psalms 78:47 ^
He sent ice for the destruction of their vines; their trees were damaged by the bitter cold.
Salmos 78:47 ^
Destruiu as suas vinhas com saraiva, e os seus sicômoros com chuva de pedra.
Psalms 78:48 ^
Ice was rained down on their cattle; thunderstorms sent destruction among the flocks.
Salmos 78:48 ^
Também entregou à saraiva o gado deles, e aos coriscos os seus rebanhos.
Psalms 78:49 ^
He sent on them the heat of his wrath, his bitter disgust, letting loose evil angels among them.
Salmos 78:49 ^
E atirou sobre eles o ardor da sua ira, o furor, a indignação, e a angústia, qual companhia de anjos destruidores.
Psalms 78:50 ^
He let his wrath have its way; he did not keep back their soul from death, but gave their life to disease.
Salmos 78:50 ^
Deu livre curso à sua ira; não os poupou da morte, mas entregou a vida deles à pestilência.
Psalms 78:51 ^
He gave to destruction all the first sons of Egypt; the first-fruits of their strength in the tents of Ham;
Salmos 78:51 ^
Feriu todo primogênito no Egito, primícias da força deles nas tendas de Cão.
Psalms 78:52 ^
But he took his people out like sheep, guiding them in the waste land like a flock.
Salmos 78:52 ^
Mas fez sair o seu povo como ovelhas, e os guiou pelo deserto como a um rebanho.
Psalms 78:53 ^
He took them on safely so that they had no fear; but their haters were covered by the sea.
Salmos 78:53 ^
Guiou-os com segurança, de sorte que eles não temeram; mas aos seus inimigos, o mar os submergiu.
Psalms 78:54 ^
And he was their guide to his holy land, even to the mountain, which his right hand had made his;
Salmos 78:54 ^
Sim, conduziu-os até a sua fronteira santa, até o monte que a sua destra adquirira.
Psalms 78:55 ^
Driving out nations before them, marking out the line of their heritage, and giving the people of Israel their tents for a resting-place.
Salmos 78:55 ^
Expulsou as nações de diante deles; e dividindo suas terras por herança, fez habitar em suas tendas as tribos de Israel.
Psalms 78:56 ^
But they were bitter against the Most High God, testing him, and not keeping his laws;
Salmos 78:56 ^
Contudo tentaram e provocaram o Deus Altíssimo, e não guardaram os seus testemunhos.
Psalms 78:57 ^
Their hearts were turned back and untrue like their fathers; they were turned to one side like a twisted bow.
Salmos 78:57 ^
Mas tornaram atrás, e portaram-se aleivosamente como seus pais; desviaram-se como um arco traiçoeiro.
Psalms 78:58 ^
They made him angry with their high places; moving him to wrath with their images.
Salmos 78:58 ^
Pois o provocaram à ira com os seus altos, e o incitaram a zelos com as suas imagens esculpidas.
Psalms 78:59 ^
When this came to God's ears he was very angry, and gave up Israel completely;
Salmos 78:59 ^
Ao ouvir isso, Deus se indignou, e sobremodo abominou a Israel.
Psalms 78:60 ^
So that he went away from the holy place in Shiloh, the tent which he had put among men;
Salmos 78:60 ^
Pelo que desamparou o tabernáculo em Siló, a tenda da sua morada entre os homens,
Psalms 78:61 ^
And he let his strength be taken prisoner, and gave his glory into the hands of his hater.
Salmos 78:61 ^
dando a sua força ao cativeiro, e a sua glória à mão do inimigo.
Psalms 78:62 ^
He gave his people up to the sword, and was angry with his heritage.
Salmos 78:62 ^
Entregou o seu povo à espada, e encolerizou-se contra a sua herança.
Psalms 78:63 ^
Their young men were burned in the fire; and their virgins were not praised in the bride-song.
Salmos 78:63 ^
Aos seus mancebos o fogo devorou, e suas donzelas não tiveram cântico nupcial.
Psalms 78:64 ^
Their priests were put to death by the sword, and their widows made no weeping for them.
Salmos 78:64 ^
Os seus sacerdotes caíram à espada, e suas viúvas não fizeram pranto.
Psalms 78:65 ^
Then was the Lord like one awaking from sleep, and like a strong man crying out because of wine.
Salmos 78:65 ^
Então o Senhor despertou como dum sono, como um valente que o vinho excitasse.
Psalms 78:66 ^
His haters were turned back by his blows and shamed for ever.
Salmos 78:66 ^
E fez recuar a golpes os seus adversários; infligiu-lhes eterna ignomínia.
Psalms 78:67 ^
And he put the tent of Joseph on one side, and took not the tribe of Ephraim;
Salmos 78:67 ^
Além disso, rejeitou a tenda de José, e não escolheu a tribo de Efraim;
Psalms 78:68 ^
But he took the tribe of Judah for himself, and the mountain of Zion, in which he had pleasure.
Salmos 78:68 ^
antes escolheu a tribo de Judá, o monte Sião, que ele amava.
Psalms 78:69 ^
And he made his holy place like the high heaven, like the earth which is fixed by him for ever.
Salmos 78:69 ^
Edificou o seu santuário como os lugares elevados, como a terra que fundou para sempre.
Psalms 78:70 ^
He took David to be his servant, taking him from the place of the flocks;
Salmos 78:70 ^
Também escolheu a Davi, seu servo, e o tirou dos apriscos das ovelhas;
Psalms 78:71 ^
From looking after the sheep which were giving milk, he took him to give food to Jacob his people, and to Israel his heritage.
Salmos 78:71 ^
de após as ovelhas e suas crias o trouxe, para apascentar a Jacó, seu povo, e a Israel, sua herança.
Psalms 78:72 ^
So he gave them food with an upright heart, guiding them by the wisdom of his hands.
Salmos 78:72 ^
E ele os apascentou, segundo a integridade do seu coração, e os guiou com a perícia de suas mãos.
