Numbers 32:1 Now the children of Reuben and the children of Gad had a great number of cattle: and when they saw that the land of Jazer and the land of Gilead was a good place for cattle;	Numeri 32:1 Or i figliuoli di Ruben e i figliuoli di Gad aveano del bestiame in grandissimo numero; e quando videro che il paese di Iazer e il paese di Galaad erano luoghi da bestiame,
Numbers 32:2 The children of Gad and the children of Reuben came and said to Moses and to Eleazar the priest and to the chiefs of the meeting,	Numeri 32:2 i figliuoli di Gad e i figliuoli di Ruben vennero a parlare a Mosè, al sacerdote Eleazar e ai principi della raunanza, e dissero:
Numbers 32:3 Ataroth, and Dibon, and Jazer, and Nimrah, and Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Sebam, and Nebo, and Beon,	Numeri 32:3 "Ataroth, Dibon, Iazer, Nimrah, Heshbon, Elealeh, Sebam, Nebo e Beon,
Numbers 32:4 The land which the Lord gave into the hands of the children of Israel, is a land for cattle, and your servants have cattle.	Numeri 32:4 terre che l’Eterno ha colpite dinanzi alla raunanza d’Israele, sono terre da bestiame, e i tuoi servi hanno del bestiame".
Numbers 32:5 And they said, With your approval, let this land be given to your servants as their heritage: do not take us over Jordan.	Numeri 32:5 E dissero ancora: "Se abbiam trovato grazia agli occhi tuoi, sia concesso ai tuoi servi il possesso di questo paese, e non ci far passare il Giordano".
Numbers 32:6 And Moses said to the children of Gad and the children of Reuben, Are your brothers to go to the war, while you take your rest here?	Numeri 32:6 Ma Mosè rispose ai figliuoli di Gad e ai figliuoli di Ruben: "Andrebbero eglino i vostri fratelli alla guerra e voi ve ne stareste qui?
Numbers 32:7 Why would you take from the children of Israel the desire to go over into the land which the Lord has given them?	Numeri 32:7 E perché volete scoraggiare i figliuoli d’Israele dal passare nei paese che l’Eterno ha loro dato?
Numbers 32:8 So did your fathers, when I sent them from Kadesh-barnea to see the land.	Numeri 32:8 Così fecero i vostri padri, quando li mandai da Kades-Barnea per esplorare il paese.
Numbers 32:9 For when they went up to the valley of Eshcol, and saw the land, they took from the children of Israel the desire to go into the land which the Lord had given them.	Numeri 32:9 Salirono fino alla valle d’Eshcol; e dopo aver esplorato il paese, scoraggiarono i figliuoli d’Israele dall’entrare nel paese che l’Eterno avea loro dato.
Numbers 32:10 And at that time the Lord was moved to wrath, and made an oath, saying,	Numeri 32:10 E l’ira dell’Eterno s’accese in quel giorno, ed egli giurò dicendo:
Numbers 32:11 Truly, not one of the men of twenty years old and over who came out of Egypt will see the land which I gave by oath to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; because they have not been true to me with all their heart;	Numeri 32:11 Gli uomini che son saliti dall’Egitto, dall’età di vent’anni in su non vedranno mai il paese che promisi con giuramento ad Abrahamo, a Isacco ed a Giacobbe, perché non m’hanno seguitato fedelmente,
Numbers 32:12 But only Caleb, the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite, and Joshua, the son of Nun: because they have been true to the Lord.	Numeri 32:12 salvo Caleb, figliuolo di Gefunne, il Kenizeo, e Giosuè, figliuolo di Nun, che hanno seguitato l’Eterno fedelmente.
Numbers 32:13 Then the Lord was angry with Israel, and he made them wanderers in the waste land for forty years? till all that generation who had done evil in the eyes of the Lord was dead.	Numeri 32:13 E l’ira dell’Eterno si accese contro Israele; ed ei lo fece andar vagando per il deserto durante quarant’anni, finché tutta la generazione che avea fatto quel male agli occhi dell’Eterno, fosse consumata.
Numbers 32:14 And now you have come to take the place of your fathers, another generation of sinners, increasing the wrath of the Lord against Israel.	Numeri 32:14 Ed ecco che voi sorgete al posto de’ vostri padri, razza d’uomini peccatori, per rendere l’ira dell’Eterno anche più ardente contro Israele.
Numbers 32:15 For if you are turned away from him, he will send them wandering again in the waste land; and you will be the cause of the destruction of all this people.	Numeri 32:15 Perché, se voi vi sviate da lui, egli continuerà a lasciare Israele nel deserto, e voi farete perire tutto questo popolo".
Numbers 32:16 Then they came to him, and said, We will make safe places for our cattle here, and towns for our little ones;	Numeri 32:16 Ma quelli s’accostarono a Mosè e gli dissero: "Noi edificheremo qui dei recinti per il nostro bestiame, e delle città per i nostri figliuoli;
Numbers 32:17 But we ourselves will be ready armed to go before the children of Israel till we have taken them to their place: but our little ones will be safe in the walled towns against the people of the land.	Numeri 32:17 ma, quanto a noi, ci terremo pronti, in armi, per marciare alla testa de’ figliuoli d’Israele, finché li abbiam condotti ai luogo destinato loro; intanto, i nostri figliuoli dimoreranno nelle città forti a cagione degli abitanti del paese.
Numbers 32:18 We will not come back to our houses till every one of the children of Israel has come into his heritage.	Numeri 32:18 Non torneremo alle nostre case finché ciascuno de’ figliuoli d’Israele non abbia preso possesso della sua eredità;
Numbers 32:19 For we will not have our heritage with them on the other side of Jordan and forward; because our heritage has come to us on this side of Jordan to the east.	Numeri 32:19 e non possederemo nulla con loro al di là del Giordano e più oltre, giacché la nostra eredità ci è toccata da questa parte dei Giordano, a oriente".
Numbers 32:20 Then Moses said to them, If you will do this, arming yourselves to go before the Lord to the war,	Numeri 32:20 E Mosè disse loro: "Se fate questo, se vi armate per andare a combattere davanti all’Eterno,
Numbers 32:21 Every armed man of you going across Jordan before the Lord till he has overcome and sent in flight all who are against him,	Numeri 32:21 se tutti quelli di voi che s’armeranno passeranno il Giordano davanti all’Eterno finch’egli abbia cacciato i suoi nemici dal suo cospetto,
Numbers 32:22 And the land is under the rule of the Lord: then after that you may come back, having done no wrong to the Lord and to Israel; and this land will be yours for your heritage before the Lord.	Numeri 32:22 e se non tornate che quando il paese vi sarà sottomesso davanti all’Eterno, voi non sarete colpevoli di fronte all’Eterno e di fronte a Israele, e questo paese sarà vostra proprietà davanti all’Eterno.
Numbers 32:23 But if you do not do this, then you are sinners against the Lord; and you may be certain that your sin will have its reward.	Numeri 32:23 Ma, se non fate così, voi avrete peccato contro l’Eterno; e sappiate che il vostro peccato vi ritroverà.
Numbers 32:24 So get to work building your towns for your little ones, and safe places for your sheep; and do as you have said.	Numeri 32:24 Edificatevi delle città per i vostri figliuoli e dei recinti per i vostri greggi, e fate quello che la vostra bocca ha proferito".
Numbers 32:25 And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben said to Moses, Your servants will do as my lord says.	Numeri 32:25 E i figliuoli di Gad e i figliuoli di Ruben parlarono a Mosè, dicendo: "I tuoi servi faranno quello che il mio signore comanda.
Numbers 32:26 Our little ones, our wives, and our flocks, and all our cattle, will be there in the towns of Gilead;	Numeri 32:26 I nostri fanciulli, le nostre mogli, i nostri greggi e tutto il nostro bestiame rimarranno qui nelle città di Galaad;
Numbers 32:27 But your servants will go over, every man armed for war, before the Lord to the fight, as my lord says.	Numeri 32:27 ma i tuoi servi, tutti quanti armati per la guerra, andranno a combattere davanti all’Eterno, come dice il mio signore".
Numbers 32:28 So Moses gave orders about them to Eleazar the priest and to Joshua, the son of Nun, and to the heads of families of the tribes of the children of Israel.	Numeri 32:28 Allora Mosè dette per loro degli ordini al sacerdote Eleazar, a Giosuè figliuolo di Nun e ai capi famiglia delle tribù de’ figliuoli d’Israele.
Numbers 32:29 And Moses said to them, If the children of Gad and the children of Reuben go with you over Jordan, every man armed for the fight before the Lord, and all the land is given into your hands, then let them have the land of Gilead for a heritage:	Numeri 32:29 Mosè disse loro: "Se i figliuoli di Gad e i figliuoli di Ruben passano con voi il Giordano tutti armati per combattere davanti all’Eterno, e se il paese sarà sottomesso davanti a voi, darete loro come proprietà il paese di Galaad.
Numbers 32:30 But if they do not go over with you armed, they will have to take their heritage with you in the land of Canaan.	Numeri 32:30 Ma se non passano armati con voi, avranno la loro proprietà tra voi nel paese di Canaan".
Numbers 32:31 Then the children of Gad and the children of Reuben said, As the Lord has said to your servants, so will we do.	Numeri 32:31 E i figliuoli di Gad e i figliuoli di Ruben risposero dicendo: "Faremo come l’Eterno ha detto ai tuoi servi.
Numbers 32:32 We will go over armed before the Lord into the land of Canaan, and you will give us our heritage on this side of Jordan.	Numeri 32:32 Passeremo in armi, davanti all’Eterno, nel paese di Canaan; ma il possesso della nostra eredità resti per noi di qua dal Giordano".
Numbers 32:33 So Moses gave to them, even to the children of Gad and the children of Reuben and to the half-tribe of Manasseh, the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon, king of the Amorites and Og, king of Bashan, all the land with its towns and the country round them.	Numeri 32:33 Mosè dunque dette ai figliuoli di Gad, ai figliuoli di Ruben e alla metà della tribù di Manasse, figliuolo di Giuseppe, il regno di Sihon, re degli Amorei, e il regno di Og, re di Basan: il paese, le sue città e i territori delle città del paese all’intorno.
Numbers 32:34 And the children of Gad were the builders of Dibon and Ataroth and Aroer;	Numeri 32:34 E i figliuoli di Gad edificarono Dibon, Ataroth, Aroer, Atroth-Shofan,
Numbers 32:35 And Atroth-shophan and Jazer and Jogbehah;	Numeri 32:35 Iazer, Iogbehah,
Numbers 32:36 And Beth-nimrah and Beth-haran: walled towns and shut-in places for sheep.	Numeri 32:36 Beth-Nimra e Beth-Haran, città fortificate, e fecero de’ recinti per i greggi.
Numbers 32:37 And the children of Reuben were the builders of Heshbon and Elealeh and Kiriathaim;	Numeri 32:37 E i figliuoli di Ruben edificarono Heshbon, Elealeh, Kiriathaim, Nebo e Baal-Meon,
Numbers 32:38 And Nebo and Baal-meon, (their names being changed,) and Sibmah: and they gave other names to the towns they made.	Numeri 32:38 i cui nomi furon mutati, e Sibmah, e dettero dei nomi alle città che edificarono.
Numbers 32:39 And the children of Machir, the son of Manasseh, went to Gilead and took it, driving out the Amorites who were living there.	Numeri 32:39 E i figliuoli di Makir, figliuolo di Manasse, andarono nel paese di Galaad, lo presero, e ne cacciarono gli Amorei che vi stavano.
Numbers 32:40 And Moses gave Gilead to Machir, the son of Manasseh; and he made it his living-place.	Numeri 32:40 Mosè dunque dette Galaad a Makir, figliuolo di Manasse, che vi si stabilì.
Numbers 32:41 And Jair, the son of Manasseh, went and took the towns of Gilead, naming them Havvoth-Jair.	Numeri 32:41 Iair, figliuolo di Manasse, andò anch’egli e prese i loro borghi, e li chiamò Havvoth-Iair.
Numbers 32:42 And Nobah went and took Kenath and its small towns, naming it Nobah, after himself.	Numeri 32:42 E Nobah andò e prese Kenath co’ suoi villaggi, e le diede il suo nome di Nobah.
