Proverbs 22:1 A good name is more to be desired than great wealth, and to be respected is better than silver and gold.	Die Spruche 22:1 Ein guter Ruf ist köstlicher denn großer Reichtum, und Gunst besser denn Silber und Gold.
Proverbs 22:2 The man of wealth and the poor man come face to face: the Lord is the maker of them all.	Die Spruche 22:2 Reiche und Arme müssen untereinander sein; der HERR hat sie alle gemacht.
Proverbs 22:3 The sharp man sees the evil and takes cover: the simple go straight on and get into trouble.	Die Spruche 22:3 Der Kluge sieht das Unglück und verbirgt sich; die Unverständigen gehen hindurch und werden beschädigt.
Proverbs 22:4 The reward of a gentle spirit and the fear of the Lord is wealth and honour and life.	Die Spruche 22:4 Wo man leidet in des HERRN Furcht, da ist Reichtum, Ehre und Leben.
Proverbs 22:5 Thorns and nets are in the way of the twisted: he who keeps watch over his soul will be far from them.	Die Spruche 22:5 Stachel und Stricke sind auf dem Wege des Verkehrten; wer sich aber davon fernhält, bewahrt sein Leben.
Proverbs 22:6 If a child is trained up in the right way, even when he is old he will not be turned away from it.	Die Spruche 22:6 Wie man einen Knaben gewöhnt, so läßt er nicht davon, wenn er alt wird.
Proverbs 22:7 The man of wealth has rule over the poor, and he who gets into debt is a servant to his creditor.	Die Spruche 22:7 Der Reiche herrscht über die Armen; und wer borgt, ist des Leihers Knecht.
Proverbs 22:8 By planting the seed of evil a man will get in the grain of sorrow, and the rod of his wrath will be broken.	Die Spruche 22:8 Wer Unrecht sät, der wird Mühsal ernten und wird durch die Rute seiner Bosheit umkommen.
Proverbs 22:9 He who is kind will have a blessing, for he gives of his bread to the poor.	Die Spruche 22:9 Ein gütiges Auge wird gesegnet; denn er gibt von seinem Brot den Armen.
Proverbs 22:10 Send away the man of pride, and argument will go out; truly fighting and shame will come to an end.	Die Spruche 22:10 Treibe den Spötter aus, so geht der Zank weg, so hört auf Hader und Schmähung.
Proverbs 22:11 He whose heart is clean is dear to the Lord; for the grace of his lips the king will be his friend.	Die Spruche 22:11 Wer ein treues Herz und liebliche Rede hat, des Freund ist der König.
Proverbs 22:12 The eyes of the Lord keep knowledge, but by him the acts of the false man will be overturned.	Die Spruche 22:12 Die Augen des HERRN behüten guten Rat; aber die Worte des Verächters verkehrt er.
Proverbs 22:13 The hater of work says, There is a lion outside: I will be put to death in the streets.	Die Spruche 22:13 Der Faule spricht: Es ist ein Löwe draußen, ich möchte erwürgt werden auf der Gasse.
Proverbs 22:14 The mouth of strange women is a deep hole: he with whom the Lord is angry will go down into it.	Die Spruche 22:14 Der Huren Mund ist eine Tiefe Grube; wem der HERR ungnädig ist, der fällt hinein.
Proverbs 22:15 Foolish ways are deep-seated in the heart of a child, but the rod of punishment will send them far from him.	Die Spruche 22:15 Torheit steckt dem Knaben im Herzen; aber die Rute der Zucht wird sie fern von ihm treiben.
Proverbs 22:16 He who is cruel to the poor for the purpose of increasing his profit, and he who gives to the man of wealth, will only come to be in need.	Die Spruche 22:16 Wer dem Armen Unrecht tut, daß seines Guts viel werde, der wird auch einem Reichen geben, und Mangel haben.
Proverbs 22:17 Let your ear be bent down for hearing my words, and let your heart give thought to knowledge.	Die Spruche 22:17 Neige deine Ohren und höre die Worte der Weisen und nimm zu Herzen meine Lehre.
Proverbs 22:18 For it is a delight to keep them in your heart, to have them ready on your lips.	Die Spruche 22:18 Denn es wird dir sanft tun, wo du sie wirst im Sinne behalten und sie werden miteinander durch deinen Mund wohl geraten.
Proverbs 22:19 So that your faith may be in the Lord, I have made them clear to you this day, even to you.	Die Spruche 22:19 Daß deine Hoffnung sei auf den HERRN, erinnere ich dich an solches heute dir zugut.
Proverbs 22:20 Have I not put in writing for you thirty sayings, with wise suggestions and knowledge,	Die Spruche 22:20 Habe ich dir's nicht mannigfaltig vorgeschrieben mit Rat und Lehren,
Proverbs 22:21 To make you see how certain are true words, so that you may give a true answer to those who put questions to you?	Die Spruche 22:21 daß ich dir zeigte einen gewissen Grund der Wahrheit, daß du recht antworten könntest denen, die dich senden?
Proverbs 22:22 Do not take away the property of the poor man because he is poor, or be cruel to the crushed ones when they come before the judge:	Die Spruche 22:22 Beraube den Armen nicht, ob er wohl arm ist, und unterdrücke den Elenden nicht im Tor.
Proverbs 22:23 For the Lord will give support to their cause, and take the life of those who take their goods.	Die Spruche 22:23 Denn der HERR wird ihre Sache führen und wird ihre Untertreter untertreten.
Proverbs 22:24 Do not be friends with a man who is given to wrath; do not go in the company of an angry man:	Die Spruche 22:24 Geselle dich nicht zum Zornigen und halte dich nicht zu einem grimmigen Mann;
Proverbs 22:25 For fear of learning his ways and making a net ready for your soul.	Die Spruche 22:25 du möchtest seinen Weg lernen und an deiner Seele Schaden nehmen.
Proverbs 22:26 Be not one of those who give their hands in an agreement, or of those who make themselves responsible for debts:	Die Spruche 22:26 Sei nicht bei denen, die ihre Hand verhaften und für Schuld Bürge werden;
Proverbs 22:27 If you have nothing with which to make payment, he will take away your bed from under you.	Die Spruche 22:27 denn wo du es nicht hast, zu bezahlen, so wird man dir dein Bett unter dir wegnehmen.
Proverbs 22:28 Let not the old landmark be moved which your fathers have put in place.	Die Spruche 22:28 Verrücke nicht die vorigen Grenzen, die deine Väter gemacht haben.
Proverbs 22:29 Have you seen a man who is expert in his business? he will take his place before kings; his place will not be among low persons.	Die Spruche 22:29 Siehst du einen Mann behend in seinem Geschäft, der wird vor den Königen stehen und wird nicht stehen vor den Unedlen.
