Proverbs 14:1 Wisdom is building her house, but the foolish woman is pulling it down with her hands.	Die Spruche 14:1 Durch weise Weiber wird das Haus erbaut; eine Närrin aber zerbricht's mit ihrem Tun.
Proverbs 14:2 He who goes on his way in righteousness has before him the fear of the Lord; but he whose ways are twisted gives him no honour.	Die Spruche 14:2 Wer den HERRN fürchtet, der wandelt auf rechter Bahn; wer ihn aber verachtet, der geht auf Abwegen.
Proverbs 14:3 In the mouth of the foolish man is a rod for his back, but the lips of the wise will keep them safe.	Die Spruche 14:3 Narren reden tyrannisch; aber die Weisen bewahren ihren Mund.
Proverbs 14:4 Where there are no oxen, their food-place is clean; but much increase comes through the strength of the ox.	Die Spruche 14:4 Wo nicht Ochsen sind, da ist die Krippe rein; aber wo der Ochse geschäftig ist, da ist viel Einkommen.

Proverbs 14:6 The hater of authority, searching for wisdom, does not get it; but knowledge comes readily to the open-minded man.	Die Spruche 14:6 Der Spötter sucht Weisheit, und findet sie nicht; aber dem Verständigen ist die Erkenntnis leicht.
Proverbs 14:7 Go away from the foolish man, for you will not see the lips of knowledge.	Die Spruche 14:7 Gehe von dem Narren; denn du lernst nichts von ihm.
Proverbs 14:8 The wisdom of the man of good sense makes his way clear; but the unwise behaviour of the foolish is deceit.	Die Spruche 14:8 Das ist des Klugen Weisheit, daß er auf seinen Weg merkt; aber der Narren Torheit ist eitel Trug.
Proverbs 14:9 In the tents of those hating authority there is error, but in the house of the upright man there is grace.	Die Spruche 14:9 Die Narren treiben das Gespött mit der Sünde; aber die Frommen haben Lust an den Frommen.
Proverbs 14:10 No one has knowledge of a man's grief but himself; and a strange person has no part in his joy.	Die Spruche 14:10 Das Herz kennt sein eigen Leid, und in seine Freude kann sich kein Fremder mengen.

Proverbs 14:17 He who is quickly angry will do what is foolish, but the man of good sense will have quiet.	Die Spruche 14:17 Ein Ungeduldiger handelt töricht; aber ein Bedächtiger haßt es.
Proverbs 14:18 Foolish behaviour is the heritage of the simple, but men of good sense are crowned with knowledge.	Die Spruche 14:18 Die Unverständigen erben Narrheit; aber es ist der Klugen Krone, vorsichtig handeln.
Proverbs 14:19 The knees of the evil are bent before the good; and sinners go down in the dust at the doors of the upright.	Die Spruche 14:19 Die Bösen müssen sich bücken vor dem Guten und die Gottlosen in den Toren des Gerechten.
Proverbs 14:20 The poor man is hated even by his neighbour, but the man of wealth has numbers of friends.	Die Spruche 14:20 Einen Armen hassen auch seine Nächsten; aber die Reichen haben viele Freunde.
Proverbs 14:21 He who has no respect for his neighbour is a sinner, but he who has pity for the poor is happy.	Die Spruche 14:21 Der Sünder verachtet seinen Nächsten; aber wohl dem, der sich der Elenden erbarmt!
Proverbs 14:22 Will not the designers of evil come into error? But mercy and good faith are for the designers of good.	Die Spruche 14:22 Die mit bösen Ränken umgehen, werden fehlgehen; die aber Gutes denken, denen wird Treue und Güte widerfahren.
Proverbs 14:23 In all hard work there is profit, but talk only makes a man poor.	Die Spruche 14:23 Wo man arbeitet, da ist genug; wo man aber mit Worten umgeht, da ist Mangel.
Proverbs 14:24 Their wisdom is a crown to the wise, but their foolish behaviour is round the head of the unwise.	Die Spruche 14:24 Den Weisen ist ihr Reichtum eine Krone; aber die Torheit der Narren bleibt Torheit.
Proverbs 14:25 A true witness is the saviour of lives; but he who says false things is a cause of deceit.	Die Spruche 14:25 Ein treuer Zeuge errettet das Leben; aber ein falscher Zeuge betrügt.
Proverbs 14:26 For him in whose heart is the fear of the Lord there is strong hope: and his children will have a safe place.	Die Spruche 14:26 Wer den HERRN fürchtet, der hat eine sichere Festung, und seine Kinder werden auch beschirmt.
Proverbs 14:27 The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, by which one may be turned from the nets of death.	Die Spruche 14:27 Die Furcht des HERRN ist eine Quelle des Lebens, daß man meide die Stricke des Todes.

Proverbs 14:35 The king has pleasure in a servant who does wisely, but his wrath is against him who is a cause of shame.	Die Spruche 14:35 Ein kluger Knecht gefällt dem König wohl; aber einem schändlichen Knecht ist er feind.
