|
| Do not make images of false gods, or put up an image cut in stone or a pillar or any pictured stone in your land, to give worship to it; for I am the Lord your God. | Ihr sollt keine Götzen machen noch Bild und sollt euch keine Säule aufrichten, auch keinen Malstein setzen in eurem Lande, daß ihr davor anbetet; denn ich bin der HERR, euer Gott. |
| Keep my Sabbaths and give honour to my holy place: I am the Lord. | Haltet meine Sabbate und fürchtet euch vor meinem Heiligtum. Ich bin der HERR. |
| If you are guided by my rules, and keep my laws and do them, | Werdet ihr in meinen Satzungen wandeln und meine Gebote halten und tun, |
| Then I will give you rain at the right time, and the land will give her increase and the trees of the field will give their fruit; | so will ich euch Regen geben zu seiner Zeit, und das Land soll sein Gewächs geben und die Bäume auf dem Felde ihre Früchte bringen, |
| And the crushing of the grain will overtake the cutting of the grapes, and the cutting of the grapes will overtake the planting of the seed, and there will be bread in full measure, and you will be living in your land safely. | und die Dreschzeit soll reichen bis zur Weinernte, und die Weinernte bis zur Zeit der Saat; und sollt Brots die Fülle haben und sollt sicher in eurem Lande wohnen. |
| And I will give you peace in the land, and you will take your rest and no one will give you cause for fear; and I will put an end to all evil beasts in the land, and no sword of war will go through your land. | Ich will Frieden geben in eurem Lande, daß ihr schlafet und euch niemand schrecke. Ich will die bösen Tiere aus eurem Land tun, und soll kein Schwert durch euer Land gehen. |
| And you will put to flight those who are against you, and they will be put to death by your swords. | Ihr sollt eure Feinde jagen, und sie sollen vor euch her ins Schwert fallen. |
| Then five of you will put to flight a hundred, and a hundred of you will put to flight ten thousand, and all who are against you will be put to death by your swords. | Euer fünf sollen hundert jagen, und euer hundert sollen zehntausend jagen; denn eure Feinde sollen vor euch her fallen ins Schwert. |
| And I will have pleasure in you and make you fertile and greater in number; and I will keep my agreement with you. | Und ich will mich zu euch wenden und will euch wachsen und euch mehren lassen und will meinen Bund euch halten. |
| And old stores long kept will be your food, and you will take out the old because of the new; | Und sollt von dem Vorjährigen essen, und wenn das Neue kommt, das Vorjährige wegtun. |
| And I will put my holy House among you, and my soul will not be turned away from you in disgust. | Ich will meine Wohnung unter euch haben, und meine Seele soll euch nicht verwerfen. |
| And I will be present among you and will be your God and you will be my people. | Und will unter euch wandeln und will euer Gott sein; so sollt ihr mein Volk sein. |
| I am the Lord your God, who took you out of the land of Egypt so that you might not be servants to them; by me the cords of your yoke were broken and I made you go upright. | Denn ich bin der HERR, euer Gott, der euch aus Ägyptenland geführt hat, daß ihr meine Knechte wäret, und habe euer Joch zerbrochen und habe euch aufgerichtet wandeln lassen. |
| But if you do not give ear to me, and do not keep all these my laws; | Werdet ihr mir aber nicht gehorchen und nicht tun diese Gebote alle |
| And if you go against my rules and if you have hate in your souls for my decisions and you do not do all my orders, but go against my agreement; | und werdet meine Satzungen verachten und eure Seele wird meine Rechte verwerfen, daß ihr nicht tut alle meine Gebote, und werdet meinen Bund brechen, |
| This will I do to you: I will put fear in your hearts, even wasting disease and burning pain, drying up the eyes and making the soul feeble, and you will get no profit from your seed, for your haters will take it for food. | so will ich euch auch solches tun: ich will euch heimsuchen mit Schrecken, Darre und Fieber, daß euch die Angesichter verfallen und der Leib verschmachte; ihr sollt umsonst euren Samen säen, und eure Feinde sollen ihn essen; |
| And my face will be turned from you, and you will be broken before those who are against you, and your haters will become your rulers, and you will go in flight when no man comes after you. | und ich will mein Antlitz wider euch stellen, und sollt geschlagen werden vor euren Feinden; und die euch hassen, sollen über euch herrschen, und sollt fliehen, da euch niemand jagt. |
| And if, even after these things, you will not give ear to me, then I will send you punishment seven times more for your sins. | So ihr aber über das noch nicht mir gehorcht, so will ich's noch siebenmal mehr machen, euch zu strafen um eure Sünden, |
| And the pride of your strength will be broken, and I will make your heaven as iron and your earth as brass; | daß ich euren Stolz und eure Halsstarrigkeit breche; und will euren Himmel wie Eisen und eure Erde wie Erz machen. |
| And your strength will be used up without profit; for your land will not give her increase and the trees of the field will not give their fruit. | Und eure Mühe und Arbeit soll verloren sein, daß euer Land sein Gewächs nicht gebe und die Bäume des Landes ihre Früchte nicht bringen. |
| And if you still go against me and will not give ear to me, I will put seven times more punishments on you because of your sins. | Und wo ihr mir entgegen wandelt und mich nicht hören wollt, so will ich's noch siebenmal mehr machen, auf euch zu schlagen um eurer Sünden willen. |
| I will let loose the beasts of the field among you, and they will take away your children and send destruction on your cattle, so that your numbers will become small and your roads become waste. | Und will wilde Tiere unter euch senden, die sollen eure Kinder fressen und euer Vieh zerreißen und euer weniger machen, und eure Straßen sollen wüst werden. |
| And if by these things you will not be turned to me, but still go against me; | Werdet ihr euch aber damit noch nicht von mir züchtigen lassen und mir entgegen wandeln, |
| Then I will go against you, and I will give you punishment, I myself, seven times for all your sins. | so will ich euch auch entgegen wandeln und will euch noch siebenmal mehr schlagen um eurer Sünden willen |
| And I will send a sword on you to give effect to the punishment of my agreement; and when you come together into your towns I will send disease among you and you will be given up into the hands of your haters. | und will ein Racheschwert über euch bringen, das meinen Bund rächen soll. Und ob ihr euch in eure Städte versammelt, will ich doch die Pestilenz unter euch senden und will euch in eurer Feinde Hände geben. |
| When I take away your bread of life, ten women will be cooking bread in one oven, and your bread will be measured out by weight; you will have food but never enough. | Dann will ich euch den Vorrat des Brots verderben, daß zehn Weiber sollen in einem Ofen backen, und euer Brot soll man mit Gewicht auswägen, und wenn ihr esset, sollt ihr nicht satt werden. |
| And if, after all this, you do not give ear to me, but go against me still, | Werdet ihr aber dadurch mir noch nicht gehorchen und mir entgegen wandeln, |
| Then my wrath will be burning against you, and I will give you punishment, I myself, seven times for your sins. | so will ich euch im Grimm entgegen wandeln und will euch siebenmal mehr strafen um eure Sünden, |
| Then you will take the flesh of your sons and the flesh of your daughters for food; | daß ihr sollt eurer Söhne und Töchter Fleisch essen. |
| And I will send destruction on your high places, overturning your perfume altars, and will put your dead bodies on your broken images, and my soul will be turned from you in disgust. | Und will eure Höhen vertilgen und eure Sonnensäulen ausrotten und will eure Leichname auf eure Götzen werfen, und meine Seele wird an euch Ekel haben. |
| And I will make your towns waste and send destruction on your holy places; I will take no pleasure in the smell of your sweet perfumes; | Und will eure Städte einreißen und will euren süßen Geruch nicht riechen. |
| And I will make your land a waste, a wonder to your haters living in it. | Also will ich das Land wüst machen, daß eure Feinde, so darin wohnen, sich davor entsetzen werden. |
| And I will send you out in all directions among the nations, and my sword will be uncovered against you, and your land will be without any living thing, and your towns will be made waste. | Euch aber will ich unter die Heiden streuen, und das Schwert ausziehen hinter euch her, daß euer Land soll wüst sein und eure Städte verstört. |
| Then will the land take pleasure in its Sabbaths while it is waste and you are living in the land of your haters; then will the land have rest. | Alsdann wird das Land sich seine Sabbate gefallen lassen, solange es wüst liegt und ihr in der Feinde Land seid; ja, dann wird das Land feiern und sich seine Sabbate gefallen lassen. |
| All the days while it is waste will the land have rest, such rest as it never had in your Sabbaths, when you were living in it. | Solange es wüst liegt, wird es feiern, darum daß es nicht feiern konnte, da ihr's solltet feiern lassen, da ihr darin wohntet. |
| And as for the rest of you, I will make their hearts feeble in the land of their haters, and the sound of a leaf moved by the wind will send them in flight, and they will go in flight as from the sword, falling down when no one comes after them; | Und denen, die von euch übrigbleiben will ich ein feiges Herz machen in ihrer Feinde Land, daß sie soll ein rauschend Blatt jagen, und soll fliehen davor, als jage sie ein Schwert, und fallen, da sie niemand jagt. |
| Falling on one another, as before the sword, when no one comes after them; you will give way before your haters. | Und soll einer über den andern hinfallen, gleich als vor dem Schwert, da sie doch niemand jagt; und ihr sollt euch nicht auflehnen dürfen wider eure Feinde. |
| And death will overtake you among strange nations, and the land of your haters will be your destruction. | Und ihr sollt umkommen unter den Heiden, und eurer Feinde Land soll euch fressen. |
| And those of you who are still living will be wasting away in their sins in the land of your haters; in the sins of their fathers they will be wasting away. | Welche aber von euch übrigbleiben, die sollen in ihrer Missetat verschmachten in der Feinde Land; auch in ihrer Väter Missetat sollen sie mit ihnen verschmachten. |
| And they will have grief for their sins and for the sins of their fathers, when their hearts were untrue to me, and they went against me; | Da werden sie denn bekennen ihre Missetat und ihrer Väter Missetat, womit sie sich an mir versündigt und mir entgegen gewandelt haben. |
| So that I went against them and sent them away into the land of their haters: if then the pride of their hearts is broken and they take the punishment of their sins, | Darum will ich auch ihnen entgegen wandeln und will sie in ihrer Feinde Land wegtreiben; da wird sich ja ihr unbeschnittenes Herz demütigen, und dann werden sie sich die Strafe ihrer Missetat gefallen lassen. |
| Then I will keep in mind the agreement which I made with Jacob and with Isaac and with Abraham, and I will keep in mind the land. | Und ich werde gedenken an meinen Bund mit Jakob und an meinen Bund mit Isaak und an meinen Bund mit Abraham und werde an das Land gedenken, |
| And the land, while she is without them, will keep her Sabbaths; and they will undergo the punishment of their sins, because they were turned away from my decisions and in their souls was hate for my laws. | das von ihnen verlassen ist und sich seine Sabbate gefallen läßt, dieweil es wüst von ihnen liegt, und sie sich die Strafe ihrer Missetat gefallen lassen, darum daß sie meine Rechte verachtet haben und ihre Seele an meinen Satzungen Ekel gehabt hat. |
| But for all that, when they are in the land of their haters I will not let them go, or be turned away from them, or give them up completely; my agreement with them will not be broken, for I am the Lord their God. | Auch wenn sie schon in der Feinde Land sind, habe ich sie gleichwohl nicht verworfen und ekelt mich ihrer nicht also, daß es mit ihnen aus sein sollte und mein Bund mit ihnen sollte nicht mehr gelten; denn ich bin der HERR, ihr Gott. |
| And because of them I will keep in mind the agreement which I made with their fathers, whom I took out of the land of Egypt before the eyes of the nations, to be their God: I am the Lord. | Und ich will über sie an meinen ersten Bund gedenken, da ich sie aus Ägyptenland führte vor den Augen der Heiden, daß ich ihr Gott wäre, ich, der HERR. |
| These are the rules, decisions, and laws, which the Lord made between himself and the children of Israel in Mount Sinai, by the hand of Moses. | Dies sind die Satzungen und Rechte und Gesetze, die der HERR zwischen ihm selbst und den Kindern Israel gestellt hat auf dem Berge Sinai durch die Hand Mose's. |
