Hosea 4	Hosea 4
Hosea 4:1 Give ear to the word of the Lord, O children of Israel; for the Lord has a cause against the people of this land, because there is no good faith in it, and no mercy and no knowledge of God in the land.	Hosea 4:1 Höret, ihr Kinder Israel, des HERRN Wort! denn der HERR hat Ursache, zu schelten, die im Lande wohnen; denn es ist keine Treue, keine Liebe, keine Erkenntnis Gottes im Lande;
Hosea 4:2 There is cursing and broken faith, violent death and attacks on property, men are untrue in married life, houses are broken into, and there is blood touching blood.	Hosea 4:2 sondern Gotteslästern, Lügen, Morden, Stehlen und Ehebrechen hat überhandgenommen und eine Blutschuld kommt nach der andern.
Hosea 4:3 Because of this the land will be dry, and everyone living in it will be wasted away, with the beasts of the field and the birds of heaven; even the fishes of the sea will be taken away.	Hosea 4:3 Darum wird das Land jämmerlich stehen, und allen Einwohnern wird's übel gehen; denn es werden auch die Tiere auf dem Felde und die Vögel unter dem Himmel und die Fische im Meer weggerafft werden.
Hosea 4:4 Let no man go to law or make protests, for your people are like those who go to law with a priest.	Hosea 4:4 Doch man darf nicht schelten noch jemand strafen; denn dein Volk ist wie die, so den Priester schelten.
Hosea 4:5 You will not be able to keep on your feet by day, and by night the prophet will be falling down with you, and I will give your mother to destruction.	Hosea 4:5 Darum sollst du bei Tage fallen und der Prophet des Nachts neben dir fallen; also will ich deine Mutter zu Grunde richten.
Hosea 4:6 Destruction has overtaken my people because they have no knowledge; because you have given up knowledge, I will give you up, so that you will be no priest to me, because you have not kept in mind the law of your God, I will not keep your children in my memory.	Hosea 4:6 Mein Volk ist dahin, darum daß es nicht lernen will. Denn du verwirfst Gottes Wort; darum will ich dich auch verwerfen, daß du nicht mein Priester sein sollst. Du vergißt das Gesetz deines Gottes; darum will ich auch deine Kinder vergessen.
Hosea 4:7 Even while they were increasing in number they were sinning against me; I will let their glory be changed into shame.	Hosea 4:7 Je mehr ihrer wird, je mehr sie wider mich sündigen; darum will ich ihre Ehre zu Schanden machen.
Hosea 4:8 The sin of my people is like food to them; and their desire is for their wrongdoing.	Hosea 4:8 Sie fressen die Sündopfer meines Volks und sind begierig nach ihren Sünden.
Hosea 4:9 And the priest will be like the people; I will give them punishment for their evil ways, and the reward of their acts.	Hosea 4:9 Darum soll es dem Volk gleich wie dem Priester gehen; denn ich will ihr Tun heimsuchen und ihnen vergelten, wie sie verdienen,
Hosea 4:10 They will have food, but they will not be full; they will be false to me, but they will not be increased, because they no longer give thought to the Lord.	Hosea 4:10 daß sie werden essen, und nicht satt werden, Hurerei treiben und sich nicht ausbreiten, darum daß sie den HERRN verlassen haben und ihn nicht achten.
Hosea 4:11 Loose ways and new wine take away wisdom.	Hosea 4:11 Hurerei, Wein und Most machen toll.
Hosea 4:12 My people get knowledge from their tree, and their rod gives them news; for a false spirit is the cause of their wandering, and they have been false to their God.	Hosea 4:12 Mein Volk fragt sein Holz, und sein Stab soll ihm predigen; denn der Hurerei-Geist verführt sie, daß sie wider ihren Gott Hurerei treiben.
Hosea 4:13 They make offerings on the tops of mountains, burning perfumes in high places, under trees of every sort, because their shade is good: and so your daughters are given up to loose ways and your brides are false to their husbands.	Hosea 4:13 Oben auf den Bergen opfern sie, und auf den Hügeln räuchern sie, unter den Eichen, Linden und Buchen; denn die haben feinen Schatten. Darum werden eure Töchter auch zu Huren und eure Bräute zu Ehebrechrinnen werden.
Hosea 4:14 I will not give punishment to your daughters or your brides for their evil behaviour; for they make themselves separate with loose women, and make offerings with those who are used for sex purposes in the worship of the gods: the people who have no wisdom will be sent away.	Hosea 4:14 Und ich will's auch nicht wehren, wenn eure Töchter und Bräute geschändet werden, weil ihr einen andern Gottesdienst anrichtet mit den Huren und opfert mit den Bübinnen. Denn das törichte Volk will geschlagen sein.
Hosea 4:15 Do not you, O Israel, come into error; do not you, O Judah, come to Gilgal, or go up to Beth-aven, or take an oath, By the living Lord.	Hosea 4:15 Willst du, Israel, ja huren, daß sich doch nur Juda nicht auch verschulde. Geht nicht hin gen Gilgal und kommt nicht hinauf gen Beth-Aven und schwört nicht: So wahr der HERR lebt!
Hosea 4:16 For Israel is uncontrolled, like a cow which may not be controlled; now will the Lord give them food like a lamb in a wide place.	Hosea 4:16 Denn Israel läuft wie eine tolle Kuh; so wird sie auch der HERR weiden lassen wie ein Lamm in der Irre.
Hosea 4:17 Ephraim is joined to false gods; let him be.	Hosea 4:17 Denn Ephraim hat sich zu den Götzen gesellt; so laß ihn hinfahren.
Hosea 4:18 Their drink has become bitter; they are completely false; her rulers take pleasure in shame.	Hosea 4:18 Sie haben sich in die Schwelgerei und Hurerei gegeben; ihre Herren haben Lust dazu, daß sie Schande anrichten.
Hosea 4:19 They are folded in the skirts of the wind; they will be shamed because of their offerings.	Hosea 4:19 Der Wind mit seinen Flügeln wird sie zusammen wegtreiben; sie müssen über ihrem Opfer zu Schanden werden.
