Daniel 5:1 Belshazzar the king made a great feast for a thousand of his lords, drinking wine before the thousand.	Daniel 5:1 König Belsazer machte ein herrliches Mahl seinen tausend Gewaltigen und soff sich voll mit ihnen.
Daniel 5:2 Belshazzar, while he was overcome with wine, gave orders for them to put before him the gold and silver vessels which Nebuchadnezzar, his father, had taken from the Temple in Jerusalem; so that the king and his lords, his wives and his other women, might take their drink from them.	Daniel 5:2 Und da er trunken war, hieß er die goldenen und silbernen Gefäße herbringen, die sein Vater Nebukadnezar aus dem Tempel zu Jerusalem weggenommen hatte, daß der König mit seinen Gewaltigen, mit seinen Weibern und mit seinen Kebsweibern daraus tränken.
Daniel 5:3 Then they took in the gold and silver vessels which had been in the Temple of the house of God at Jerusalem; and the king and his lords, his wives and his other women, took wine from them.	Daniel 5:3 Also wurden hergebracht die goldenen Gefäße, die aus dem Tempel, aus dem Hause Gottes zu Jerusalem, genommen waren; und der König, seine Gewaltigen, seine Weiber und Kebsweiber tranken daraus.
Daniel 5:4 They took their wine and gave praise to the gods of gold and silver, of brass and iron and wood and stone.	Daniel 5:4 Und da sie so soffen, lobten sie die goldenen, silbernen, ehernen, eisernen, hölzernen und steinernen Götter.
Daniel 5:5 In that very hour the fingers of a man's hand were seen, writing opposite the support for the light on the white wall of the king's house, and the king saw the part of the hand which was writing.	Daniel 5:5 Eben zu derselben Stunde gingen hervor Finger wie einer Menschenhand, die schrieben, gegenüber dem Leuchter, auf die getünchte Wand in dem königlichen Saal; und der König ward gewahr der Hand, die da schrieb.
Daniel 5:6 Then the colour went from the king's face, and he was troubled by his thoughts; strength went from his body, and his knees were shaking.	Daniel 5:6 Da entfärbte sich der König, und seine Gedanken erschreckten ihn, daß ihm die Lenden schütterten und die Beine zitterten.
Daniel 5:7 The king, crying out with a loud voice, said that the users of secret arts, the Chaldaeans, and the readers of signs, were to be sent for. The king made answer and said to the wise men of Babylon, Whoever is able to make out this writing, and make clear to me the sense of it, will be clothed in purple and have a chain of gold round his neck, and will be a ruler of high authority in the kingdom.	Daniel 5:7 Und der König rief überlaut, daß man die Weisen, Chaldäer und Wahrsager hereinbringen sollte. Und er ließ den Weisen zu Babel sagen: Welcher Mensch diese Schrift liest und sagen kann, was sie bedeute, der soll in Purpur gekleidet werden und eine goldene Kette am Halse tragen und der dritte Herr sein in meinem Königreiche.
Daniel 5:8 Then all the king's wise men came in: but they were not able to make out the writing or give the sense of it to the king.	Daniel 5:8 Da wurden alle Weisen des Königs hereingebracht; aber sie konnten weder die Schrift lesen noch die Deutung dem König anzeigen.
Daniel 5:9 Then King Belshazzar was greatly troubled and the colour went from his face, and his lords were at a loss.	Daniel 5:9 Darüber erschrak der König Belsazer noch härter und verlor ganz seine Farbe; und seinen Gewaltigen ward bange.
Daniel 5:10 The queen, because of the words of the king and his lords, came into the house of the feast: the queen made answer and said, O King, have life for ever; do not be troubled by your thoughts or let the colour go from your face:	Daniel 5:10 Da ging die Königin um solcher Sache des Königs und seiner Gewaltigen willen hinein in den Saal und sprach: Der König lebe ewiglich! Laß dich deine Gedanken nicht so erschrecken und entfärbe dich nicht also!
Daniel 5:11 There is a man in your kingdom in whom is the spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of your father, light and reason like the wisdom of the gods were seen in him: and King Nebuchadnezzar, your father, made him master of the wonder-workers, and the users of secret arts, and the Chaldaeans, and the readers of signs;	Daniel 5:11 Es ist ein Mann in deinem Königreich, der den Geist der heiligen Götter hat. Denn zu deines Vaters Zeit ward bei ihm Erleuchtung gefunden, Klugheit und Weisheit, wie der Götter Weisheit ist; und dein Vater, König Nebukadnezar, setzte ihn über die Sternseher, Weisen, Chaldäer und Wahrsager,
Daniel 5:12 Because a most special spirit, and knowledge and reason and the power of reading dreams and unfolding dark sayings and answering hard questions, were seen to be in him, even in Daniel (named Belteshazzar by the king): now let Daniel be sent for, and he will make clear the sense of the writing.	Daniel 5:12 darum daß ein hoher Geist bei ihm gefunden ward, dazu Verstand und Klugheit, Träume zu deuten, dunkle Sprüche zu erraten und verborgene Sachen zu offenbaren: nämlich Daniel, den der König ließ Beltsazar nennen. So rufe man nun Daniel; der wird sagen, was es bedeutet.
Daniel 5:13 Then they took Daniel in before the king; the king made answer and said to Daniel, So you are that Daniel, of the prisoners of Judah, whom my father took out of Judah.	Daniel 5:13 Da ward Daniel hinein vor den König gebracht. Und der König sprach zu Daniel: Bist du der Daniel, der Gefangenen einer aus Juda, die der König, mein Vater aus Juda hergebracht hat?
Daniel 5:14 And I have had news of you, that the spirit of the gods is in you, and that light and reason and special wisdom have been seen in you.	Daniel 5:14 Ich habe von dir hören sagen, daß du den Geist der Götter hast und Erleuchtung, Verstand und hohe Weisheit bei dir gefunden sei.
Daniel 5:15 And now the wise men, the users of secret arts, have been sent in before me for the purpose of reading this writing and making clear to me the sense of it: but they are not able to make clear the sense of the thing:	Daniel 5:15 Nun habe ich vor mich fordern lassen die Klugen und Weisen, daß sie mir diese Schrift lesen und anzeigen sollen, was sie bedeutet: und sie können mir nicht sagen, was solches bedeutet.
Daniel 5:16 And I have had news of you, that you have the power of making things clear, and of answering hard questions: now if you are able to make out the writing and give me the sense of it, you will be clothed in purple and have a gold chain round your neck and be a ruler of high authority in the kingdom.	Daniel 5:16 Von dir aber höre ich, daß du könnest Deutungen geben und das Verborgene offenbaren. Kannst du nun die Schrift lesen und mir anzeigen, was sie bedeutet, so sollst du mit Purpur gekleidet werden und eine golden Kette an deinem Halse tragen und der dritte Herr sein in meinem Königreiche.
Daniel 5:17 Then Daniel made answer and said to the king, Keep your offerings for yourself, and give your rewards to another; but I, after reading the writing to the king, will give him the sense of it.	Daniel 5:17 Da fing Daniel an und redete vor dem König: Behalte deine Gaben selbst und gib dein Geschenk einem andern; ich will dennoch die Schrift dem König lesen und anzeigen, was sie bedeutet.
Daniel 5:18 As for you, O King, the Most High God gave to Nebuchadnezzar, your father, the kingdom and great power and glory and honour:	Daniel 5:18 Herr König, Gott der Höchste hat deinem Vater, Nebukadnezar, Königreich, Macht, Ehre und Herrlichkeit gegeben.
Daniel 5:19 And because of the great power he gave him, all peoples and nations and languages were shaking in fear before him: some he put to death and others he kept living, at his pleasure, lifting up some and putting others down as it pleased him.	Daniel 5:19 Und vor solcher Macht, die ihm gegeben war, fürchteten sich vor ihm alle Völker, Leute und Zungen. Er tötete wen er wollte; er ließ leben, wen er wollte; er erhöhte, wen er wollte; er demütigt, wen er wollte.
Daniel 5:20 But when his heart was lifted up and his spirit became hard with pride, he was put down from his place as king, and they took his glory from him:	Daniel 5:20 Da sich aber sein Herz erhob und er stolz und hochmütig ward, ward er vom königlichen Stuhl gestoßen und verlor seine Ehre
Daniel 5:21 And he was sent out from among the sons of men; and his heart was made like the beasts', and he was living with the asses of the fields; he had grass for his food like the oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till he was certain that the Most High is ruler in the kingdom of men, and gives power over it to anyone at his pleasure.	Daniel 5:21 und ward verstoßen von den Leuten hinweg, und sein Herz ward gleich den Tieren, und er mußte bei dem Wild laufen und fraß Gras wie Ochsen, und sein Leib lag unterm Tau des Himmels, und er ward naß, bis daß er lernte, daß Gott der Höchste Gewalt hat über der Menschen Königreiche und gibt sie, wem er will.
Daniel 5:22 And you, his son, O Belshazzar, have not kept your heart free from pride, though you had knowledge of all this;	Daniel 5:22 Und du, Belsazer, sein Sohn, hast dein Herz nicht gedemütigt, ob du wohl solches alles weißt,
Daniel 5:23 But you have been lifting yourself up against the Lord of heaven, and they have put the vessels of his house before you, and you and your lords, your wives and your women, have taken wine in them; and you have given praise to gods of silver and gold, of brass and iron and wood and stone, who are without the power of seeing or hearing, and without knowledge: and to the God in whose hand your breath is, and whose are all your ways, you have not given glory;	Daniel 5:23 sondern hast dich wider den HERRN des Himmels erhoben, und die Gefäße seines Hauses hat man vor dich bringen müssen, und du, deine Gewaltigen, deine Weiber und deine Kebsweiber habt daraus getrunken, dazu die silbernen, goldenen, ehernen, eisernen, hölzernen und steinernen Götter gelobt, die weder sehen noch hören noch fühlen; den Gott aber, der deinen Odem und alle deine Wege in seiner Hand hat, hast du nicht geehrt.
Daniel 5:24 Then the part of the hand was sent out from before him, and this writing was recorded.	Daniel 5:24 Darum ist von ihm gesandt diese Hand und diese Schrift, die da verzeichnet steht.
Daniel 5:25 And this is the writing which was recorded, Mene, tekel, peres.	Daniel 5:25 Das aber ist die Schrift, allda verzeichnet: Mene, mene, Tekel, U-pharsin.
Daniel 5:26 This is the sense of the words: Mene; your kingdom has been numbered by God and ended.	Daniel 5:26 Und sie bedeutet dies: Mene, das ist Gott hat dein Königreich gezählt und vollendet.
Daniel 5:27 Tekel; you have been put in the scales and seen to be under weight.	Daniel 5:27 Tekel, das ist: man hat dich in einer Waage gewogen und zu leicht gefunden.
Daniel 5:28 Peres; your kingdom has been cut up and given to the Medes and Persians.	Daniel 5:28 Peres, das ist: dein Königreich ist zerteilt und den Medern und Persern gegeben.
Daniel 5:29 Then, by the order of Belshazzar, they put a purple robe on Daniel, and a gold chain round his neck, and a public statement was made that he was to be a ruler of high authority in the kingdom.	Daniel 5:29 Da befahl Belsazer, daß man Daniel mit Purpur kleiden sollte und ihm eine goldene Kette an den Hals geben, und ließ ihm verkündigen, daß er der dritte Herr sei im Königreich.
Daniel 5:30 That very night Belshazzar, the king of the Chaldaeans, was put to death.	Daniel 5:30 Aber in derselben Nacht ward der Chaldäer König Belsazer getötet.
Daniel 5:31 And Darius the Mede took the kingdom, being then about sixty-two years old.	Daniel 5:31 Und Darius aus Medien nahm das Reich ein, da er zweiundsechzig Jahre alt war.
