Job 12:1 ^
And Job made answer and said,
Job 12:1 ^
Job prit la parole et dit:
Job 12:2 ^
No doubt you have knowledge, and wisdom will come to an end with you.
Job 12:2 ^
On dirait, en vérité, que le genre humain c`est vous, Et qu`avec vous doit mourir la sagesse.
Job 12:3 ^
But I have a mind as well as you; I am equal to you: yes, who has not knowledge of such things as these?
Job 12:3 ^
J`ai tout aussi bien que vous de l`intelligence, moi, Je ne vous suis point inférieur; Et qui ne sait les choses que vous dites?
Job 12:4 ^
It seems that I am to be as one who is a cause of laughing to his neighbour, one who makes his prayer to God and is answered! the upright man who has done no wrong is to be made sport of!
Job 12:4 ^
Je suis pour mes amis un objet de raillerie, Quand j`implore le secours de Dieu; Le juste, l`innocent, un objet de raillerie!
Job 12:5 ^
In the thought of him who is in comfort there is no respect for one who is in trouble; such is the fate of those whose feet are slipping.
Job 12:5 ^
Au malheur le mépris! c`est la devise des heureux; A celui dont le pied chancelle est réservé le mépris.
Job 12:6 ^
There is wealth in the tents of those who make destruction, and those by whom God is moved to wrath are safe; even those whose god is their strength.
Job 12:6 ^
Il y a paix sous la tente des pillards, Sécurité pour ceux qui offensent Dieu, Pour quiconque se fait un dieu de sa force.
Job 12:7 ^
But put now a question to the beasts, and get teaching from them; or to the birds of the heaven, and they will make it clear to you;
Job 12:7 ^
Interroge les bêtes, elles t`instruiront, Les oiseaux du ciel, ils te l`apprendront;
Job 12:8 ^
Or to the things which go flat on the earth, and they will give you wisdom; and the fishes of the sea will give you news of it.
Job 12:8 ^
Parle à la terre, elle t`instruira; Et les poissons de la mer te le raconteront.
Job 12:9 ^
Who does not see by all these that the hand of the Lord has done this?
Job 12:9 ^
Qui ne reconnaît chez eux la preuve Que la main de l`Éternel a fait toutes choses?
Job 12:10 ^
In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all flesh of man.
Job 12:10 ^
Il tient dans sa main l`âme de tout ce qui vit, Le souffle de toute chair d`homme.
Job 12:11 ^
Are not words tested by the ear, even as food is tasted by the mouth?
Job 12:11 ^
L`oreille ne discerne-t-elle pas les paroles, Comme le palais savoure les aliments?
Job 12:12 ^
Old men have wisdom, and a long life gives knowledge.
Job 12:12 ^
Dans les vieillards se trouve la sagesse, Et dans une longue vie l`intelligence.
Job 12:13 ^
With him there is wisdom and strength; power and knowledge are his.
Job 12:13 ^
En Dieu résident la sagesse et la puissance. Le conseil et l`intelligence lui appartiennent.
Job 12:14 ^
Truly, there is no building up of what is pulled down by him; when a man is shut up by him, no one may let him loose.
Job 12:14 ^
Ce qu`il renverse ne sera point rebâti, Celui qu`il enferme ne sera point délivré.
Job 12:15 ^
Truly, he keeps back the waters and they are dry; he sends them out and the earth is overturned.
Job 12:15 ^
Il retient les eaux et tout se dessèche; Il les lâche, et la terre en est dévastée.
Job 12:16 ^
With him are strength and wise designs; he who is guided into error, together with his guide, are in his hands;
Job 12:16 ^
Il possède la force et la prudence; Il maîtrise celui qui s`égare ou fait égarer les autres.
Job 12:17 ^
He takes away the wisdom of the wise guides, and makes judges foolish;
Job 12:17 ^
Il emmène captifs les conseillers; Il trouble la raison des juges.
Job 12:18 ^
He undoes the chains of kings, and puts his band on them;
Job 12:18 ^
Il délie la ceinture des rois, Il met une corde autour de leurs reins.
Job 12:19 ^
He makes priests prisoners, overturning those in safe positions;
Job 12:19 ^
Il emmène captifs les sacrificateurs; Il fait tomber les puissants.
Job 12:20 ^
He makes the words of responsible persons without effect, and takes away the good sense of the old;
Job 12:20 ^
Il ôte la parole à ceux qui ont de l`assurance; Il prive de jugement les vieillards.
Job 12:21 ^
He puts shame on chiefs, and takes away the power of the strong;
Job 12:21 ^
Il verse le mépris sur les grands; Il relâche la ceinture des forts.
Job 12:22 ^
Uncovering deep things out of the dark, and making the deep shade bright;
Job 12:22 ^
Il met à découvert ce qui est caché dans les ténèbres, Il produit à la lumière l`ombre de la mort.
Job 12:23 ^
Increasing nations, and sending destruction on them; making wide the lands of peoples, and then giving them up.
Job 12:23 ^
Il donne de l`accroissement aux nations, et il les anéantit; Il les étend au loin, et il les ramène dans leurs limites.
Job 12:24 ^
He takes away the wisdom of the rulers of the earth, and sends them wandering in a waste where there is no way.
Job 12:24 ^
Il enlève l`intelligence aux chefs des peuples, Il les fait errer dans les déserts sans chemin;
Job 12:25 ^
They go feeling about in the dark without light, wandering without help like those overcome with wine.
Job 12:25 ^
Ils tâtonnent dans les ténèbres, et ne voient pas clair; Il les fait errer comme des gens ivres.
