Job 14

Job 14:1 ^
As for man, the son of woman, his days are short and full of trouble.
Job 14:1 ^
Ang tawo, nga natawo sa usa ka babaye, Hamubo ra sa panuigon, ug tugob sa kasamok.
Job 14:2 ^
He comes out like a flower, and is cut down: he goes in flight like a shade, and is never seen again.
Job 14:2 ^
Siya mobuswak sama sa usa ka bulak, ug pagaputlon: Siya nagadalagan usab ingon sa usa ka anino, ug dili magadayon.
Job 14:3 ^
Is it on such a one as this that your eyes are fixed, with the purpose of judging him?
Job 14:3 ^
Nan magabuka ba ikaw sa mga mata sa pagsud-ong kaniya, Ug magadala kanako sa hukmanan uban kanimo?
Job 14:4 ^
If only a clean thing might come out of an unclean! But it is not possible.
Job 14:4 ^
Kinsa ang makakuha ug usa ka butang nga mahinlo gikan sa mahugaw? walay mausa.
Job 14:5 ^
If his days are ordered, and you have knowledge of the number of his months, having given him a fixed limit past which he may not go;
Job 14:5 ^
Sanglit ang iyang mga adlaw tinagalan, Ang gidaghanon sa iyang mga bulan anaa kanimo, Ug ikaw nagbutang ug mga utlanan kaniya nga dili niya malabang.
Job 14:6 ^
Let your eyes be turned away from him, and take your hand from him, so that he may have pleasure at the end of his day, like a servant working for payment.
Job 14:6 ^
Ayaw na siya pagsud-onga, aron siya makapahulay, Hangtud nga, ingon sa usa ka sulogoon, matapus niya ang adlaw.
Job 14:7 ^
For there is hope of a tree; if it is cut down, it will come to life again, and its branches will not come to an end.
Job 14:7 ^
Kay adunay kalauman sa usa ka kahoy, Kong kana pagaputlon aron nga manalingsing pag-usab, Ug nga ang diyutayng sanga niana dili mohunong.
Job 14:8 ^
Though its root may be old in the earth, and its cut-off end may be dead in the dust;
Job 14:8 ^
Bisan pa magakagulang ang gamot niana diha sa yuta, Ug ang tuud niana madunot sa yuta;
Job 14:9 ^
Still, at the smell of water, it will make buds, and put out branches like a young plant.
Job 14:9 ^
Apan tungod sa baho sa tubig kana mangudlot, Ug mananga ingon sa usa ka tanum.
Job 14:10 ^
But man comes to his death and is gone: he gives up his spirit, and where is he?
Job 14:10 ^
Apan ang tawo mamatay, ug igalubong: Oo, ang gininhawa sa tawo mabugto, ug hain na man siya?
Job 14:11 ^
The waters go from a pool, and a river becomes waste and dry;
Job 14:11 ^
Ingon nga ang katubigan maitus sa dagat, Ug ang suba magakakunhod ug momala;
Job 14:12 ^
So man goes down to his last resting-place and comes not again: till the heavens come to an end, they will not be awake or come out of their sleep.
Job 14:12 ^
Mao usab ang tawo mamatay ug dili na mobalik: Hangtud nga mawala ang kalangitan, sila dili na manghigmata, Dili usab sila mapukaw sa ilang pagkatulog.
Job 14:13 ^
If only you would keep me safe in the underworld, putting me in a secret place till your wrath is past, giving me a fixed time when I might come to your memory again!
Job 14:13 ^
Oh nga sa Sheol unta tagoan mo ako, Nga imo unta akong ibutang sa tago, hangtud nga mahupay ang imong kaligutgut, Nga imo unta akong tagalan ug panahon, ug mahinumdum ka kanako!
Job 14:14 ^
If death takes a man, will he come to life again? All the days of my trouble I would be waiting, till the time came for me to be free.
Job 14:14 ^
Kong ang tawo mamatay, mabuhi ba siya pag-usab? Paabuton unta nako ang tanang adlaw sa akong pagpakigbisog, Hangtud ang akong pagkabalhin modangat.
Job 14:15 ^
At the sound of your voice I would give an answer, and you would have a desire for the work of your hands.
Job 14:15 ^
Ikaw motawag unta, ug kanimo ako motubag: Ikaw mokinahanglan sa buhat sa imong mga kamot.
Job 14:16 ^
For now my steps are numbered by you, and my sin is not overlooked.
Job 14:16 ^
Apan karon imong ginaihap ang akong mga lakang? Dili ba ikaw magtimaan sa akong sala?
Job 14:17 ^
My wrongdoing is corded up in a bag, and my sin is shut up safe.
Job 14:17 ^
Ang akong kalapasan gibaliktosan sulod sa usa ka puntil, Ug imong gitak-uman ang akong kadautan.
Job 14:18 ^
But truly a mountain falling comes to dust, and a rock is moved from its place;
Job 14:18 ^
Apan ang bukid nga nagakatumpag, mawagtang: Ug ang bato mahasalikway gikan sa iyang nahamutangan;
Job 14:19 ^
The stones are crushed small by the force of the waters; the dust of the earth is washed away by their overflowing: and so you put an end to the hope of man.
Job 14:19 ^
Ang katubigan magahilis sa mga bato; Ang mga pag-awas niana magabugwas sa abug sa yuta: Maingon man niana ginalaglag mo ang paglaum sa tawo.
Job 14:20 ^
You overcome him for ever, and he is gone; his face is changed in death, and you send him away.
Job 14:20 ^
Ikaw sa walay katapusan makadaug kaniya, ug siya molabay: Ikaw magausab sa iyang nawong, ug kaniya magapalakaw.
Job 14:21 ^
His sons come to honour, and he has no knowledge of it; they are made low, but he is not conscious of it.
Job 14:21 ^
Ang iyang mga anak mahimong dungganon, ug siya dili mahibalo niana; Ug sila ginahimong ubos apan siya dili makatimaan niana kanila.
Job 14:22 ^
Only his flesh still has pain, and his soul is sad.
Job 14:22 ^
Apan kaniya may kasakit ang iyang unod, Ug sa sulod niya nagabangotan ang iyang kalag.
