Mateo 2:1 Ug sa gikaanak na si Jesus didto sa Betlehem sa Judea sa mga adlaw ni Herodes nga hari, tan-awa, dihay mga mago gikan sa Sidlakan nga miabut sa Jerusalem, nga nanag-ingon,	Matthew 2:1 Now when the birth of Jesus took place in Beth-lehem of Judaea, in the days of Herod the king, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
Mateo 2:2 "Hain ba ang gianak nga hari sa mga Judio? Kay nakita namo ang iyang bitoon didto sa Sidlakan, ug nanganhi kami aron sa pagsimba kaniya."	Matthew 2:2 Saying, Where is the King of the Jews whose birth has now taken place? We have seen his star in the east and have come to give him worship.
Mateo 2:3 Sa pagkadungog niini ni Herodes nga hari, siya nakulbaan ug ang tibuok Jerusalem uban kaniya;	Matthew 2:3 And when it came to the ears of Herod the king, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.
Mateo 2:4 ug sa natigum niya ang tanang mga sacerdote nga punoan ug mga escriba sa katawhan, siya nangutana kanila kon asa igaanak ang Cristo.	Matthew 2:4 And he got together all the chief priests and scribes of the people, questioning them as to where the birth-place of the Christ would be.
Mateo 2:5 Ug sila miingon kaniya, "Sa Betlehem sa Judea, kay mao man kini ang nahisulat pinaagi sa profeta, nga nag-ingon:	Matthew 2:5 And they said to him, In Beth-lehem of Judaea; for so it is said in the writings of the prophet,
Mateo 2:6 `Ug ikaw, O Betlehem, sa yuta sa Juda, sa pagkatinuod dili mao ang labing diyutay sa mga punoan sa Juda; kay gikan kanimo mogula ang usa ka punoan nga mao ang magabuot sa akong katawhan nga Israel.`	Matthew 2:6 You Beth-lehem, in the land of Judah, are not the least among the chiefs of Judah: out of you will come a ruler, who will be the keeper of my people Israel.
Mateo 2:7 Ug sa tago gipatawag ni Herodes ang mga mago, ug gikan kanila iyang nasayran ang panahon kanus-a mipakita ang bitoon.	Matthew 2:7 Then Herod sent for the wise men privately, and put questions to them about what time the star had been seen.
Mateo 2:8 Ug gisugo niya sila sa pag-adto sa Betlehem, nga nag-ingon, "Adtoa ug pangitaa ninyo pag-ayo ang bata, ug sa makaplagan na ninyo siya, balitai ako ninyo aron ako usab moadto sa pagsimba kaniya."	Matthew 2:8 And he sent them to Beth-lehem and said, Go and make certain where the young child is; and when you have seen him, let me have news of it, so that I may come and give him worship.
Mateo 2:9 Sa pagkadungog nila sa hari, sila nanglakaw; ug tan-awa, ang bitoon nga ilang nakita didto sa Sidlakan nag-una kanila hangtud sa pag-abut niini nga mihunong sa ibabaw sa dapit nga nahimutangan sa bata.	Matthew 2:9 And after hearing the king, they went on their way; and the star which they saw in the east went before them, till it came to rest over the place where the young child was.
Mateo 2:10 Ug sa pagkakita nila sa bitoon, sila nangalipay sa hilabihan gayud.	Matthew 2:10 And when they saw the star they were full of joy.
Mateo 2:11 Ug sa paghisulod na nila sa balay, ilang nakita ang bata uban kang Maria nga iyang inahan, ug sila mihapa ug ilang gisimba ang bata. Ug sa naukban nila ang ilang mga bahandi, ilang gihalaran siyag mga gasa, bulawan ug incienso ug mirra.	Matthew 2:11 And they came into the house, and saw the young child with Mary, his mother; and falling down on their faces they gave him worship; and from their store they gave him offerings of gold, perfume, and spices.
Mateo 2:12 Ug sa gikapahimangnoan sila pinaagi sa damgo sa dili pagbalik kang Herodes, namauli sila nga nanag-agig laing dalan padulong sa ilang kaugalingong yuta.	Matthew 2:12 And it was made clear to them by God in a dream that they were not to go back to Herod; so they went into their country by another way.
Mateo 2:13 Ug sa nakalakaw na sila, tan-awa, usa ka manolunda sa Ginoo mitungha kang Jose pinaagi sa damgo ug miingon kaniya, "Bumangon ka, dad-a ang bata ug ang iyang inahan, ug kumalagiw ka ngadto sa Egipto, ug pabilin didto hangtud ingnon ko ikaw; kay si Herodes mangita na sa bata aron sa pagpatay kaniya."	Matthew 2:13 And when they had gone, an angel of the Lord came to Joseph in a dream, saying, Get up and take the young child and his mother, and go into Egypt, and do not go from there till I give you word; for Herod will be searching for the young child to put him to death.
Mateo 2:14 Ug siya mibangon, ug sa kagabhion gidala niya ang bata ug ang inahan niini, ug miadto sa Egipto,	Matthew 2:14 So he took the young child and his mother by night, and went into Egypt;
Mateo 2:15 ug didto nagpabilin hangtud sa pagkamatay ni Herodes. Kini nahitabo tuman sa giingon sa Ginoo pinaagi sa profeta, "Gikan sa Egipto gitawag ko ang akong anak."	Matthew 2:15 And was there till the death of Herod; so that the word of the Lord through the prophet might come true, Out of Egypt have I sent for my son.
Mateo 2:16 Unya sa pagkakita ni Herodes nga gilansisan lang diay siya sa mga mago, siya nasuko sa hilabihan gayud, ug iyang gipaadtoan ug gipapatay ang tanang mga bata nga lalaki sa Betlehem ug sa tanang kasikbit niini, nga may kagulangon nga duha ka tuig ngadto sa ubos, sumala sa gitas-on sa panahon nga tukma sa iyang nasayran gikan sa mga mago.	Matthew 2:16 Then Herod, when he saw that he had been tricked by the wise men, was very angry; and he sent out, and put to death all the male children in Beth-lehem and in all the parts round about it, from two years old and under, acting on the knowledge which he had got with care from the wise men.
Mateo 2:17 Ug niadtong panahona natuman ang gisulti sa profeta nga si Jeremias, nga nag-ingon:	Matthew 2:17 Then the word of Jeremiah the prophet came true,
Mateo 2:18 "Usa ka tingog nabati didto sa Rama, hilak ug makusog nga pagminatay; si Raquel nagdangoyngoy alang sa iyang mga anak; ug siya dili buot palipay, kay sila wala na man."	Matthew 2:18 In Ramah there was a sound of weeping and great sorrow, Rachel weeping for her children, and she would not be comforted for their loss.
Mateo 2:19 Apan sa pagkamatay na ni Herodes, tan-awa, usa ka manolunda sa Ginoo mitungha kang Jose didto sa Egipto pinaagi sa damgo, ug miingon kaniya,	Matthew 2:19 But when Herod was dead, an angel of the Lord came in a dream to Joseph in Egypt,
Mateo 2:20 "Bumangon ka, dad-a ang bata ug ang iyang inahan uban kanimo, ug umadto ka sa yuta sa Israel, kay patay na ang mga nanagpangita sa kinabuhi sa bata."	Matthew 2:20 Saying, Get up and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: because they who were attempting to take the young child's life are dead.
Mateo 2:21 Ug siya mibangon ug iyang gidala ang bata ug ang inahan niini, ug miadto sa yuta sa Israel.	Matthew 2:21 And he got up, and took the young child and his mother, and came into the land of Israel.
Mateo 2:22 Apan sa pagkadungog niya nga si Arquelao naghari sa Juda puli sa iyang amahan nga si Herodes, siya nahadlok sa pagbalik didto, ug sa napahimangnoan siya pinaagi sa damgo, siya mipahilit ngadto sa kayutaan sa Galilea.	Matthew 2:22 But when it came to his ears that Archelaus was ruling over Judaea in the place of his father Herod, he was in fear of going there; and God having given him news of the danger in a dream, he went out of the way into the country parts of Galilee.
Mateo 2:23 Ug siya miabut ug mipuyo sa usa ka lungsod nga ginganlan ug Nazaret, tuman sa gisulti sa profeta nga nag-ingon, "Siya pagatawgon nga Nazaretnon."	Matthew 2:23 And he came and was living in a town named Nazareth: so that the word of the prophets might come true, He will be named a Nazarene.
