|
| O give thanks unto Jehovah; For he is good; For his lovingkindness [endureth] for ever. | Славьте Господа, ибо Он благ, ибо вовек милость Его! |
| Let the redeemed of Jehovah say [so], Whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the adversary, | Так да скажут избавленные Господом, которых избавил Он от руки врага, |
| And gathered out of the lands, From the east and from the west, From the north and from the south. | и собрал от стран, от востока и запада, от севера и моря. |
| They wandered in the wilderness in a desert way; They found no city of habitation. | Они блуждали в пустыне по безлюдному пути и не находили населенного города; |
| Hungry and thirsty, Their soul fainted in them. | терпели голод и жажду, душа их истаевала в них. |
| Then they cried unto Jehovah in their trouble, And he delivered them out of their distresses, | Но воззвали к Господу в скорби своей, и Он избавил их от бедствий их, |
| He led them also by a straight way, That they might go to a city of habitation. | и повел их прямым путем, чтобы они шли к населенному городу. |
| Oh that men would praise Jehovah for his lovingkindness, And for his wonderful works to the children of men! | Да славят Господа за милость Его и за чудные дела Его для сынов человеческих: |
| For he satisfieth the longing soul, And the hungry soul he filleth with good. | ибо Он насытил душу жаждущую и душу алчущую исполнил благами. |
| Such as sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, Being bound in affliction and iron, | Они сидели во тьме и тени смертной, окованные скорбью и железом; |
| Because they rebelled against the words of God, And contemned the counsel of the Most High: | ибо не покорялись словам Божиим и небрегли о воле Всевышнего. |
| Therefore he brought down their heart with labor; They fell down, and there was none to help. | Он смирил сердце их работами; они преткнулись, и не было помогающего. |
| Then they cried unto Jehovah in their trouble, And he saved them out of their distresses. | Но воззвали к Господу в скорби своей, и Он спас их от бедствий их; |
| He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, And brake their bonds in sunder. | вывел их из тьмы и тени смертной, и расторгнул узы их. |
| Oh that men would praise Jehovah for his lovingkindness, And for his wonderful works to the children of men! | Да славят Господа за милость Его и за чудные дела Его для сынов человеческих: |
| For he hath broken the gates of brass, And cut the bars of iron in sunder. | ибо Он сокрушил врата медные и вереи железные сломил. |
| Fools because of their transgression, And because of their iniquities, are afflicted. | Безрассудные страдали за беззаконные пути свои и за неправды свои; |
| Their soul abhorreth all manner of food; And they draw near unto the gates of death. | от всякой пищи отвращалась душа их, и они приближались ко вратам смерти. |
| Then they cry unto Jehovah in their trouble, And he saveth them out of their distresses. | Но воззвали к Господу в скорби своей, и Он спас их от бедствий их; |
| He sendeth his word, and healeth them, And delivereth [them] from their destructions. | послал слово Свое и исцелил их, и избавил их от могил их. |
| Oh that men would praise Jehovah for his lovingkindness, And for his wonderful works to the children of men! | Да славят Господа за милость Его и за чудные дела Его для сынов человеческих! |
| And let them offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving, And declare his works with singing. | Да приносят Ему жертву хвалы и да возвещают о делах Его с пением! |
| They that go down to the sea in ships, That do business in great waters; | Отправляющиеся на кораблях в море, производящие дела на больших водах, |
| These see the works of Jehovah, And his wonders in the deep. | видят дела Господа и чудеса Его в пучине: |
| For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, Which lifteth up the waves thereof. | Он речет, --и восстанет бурный ветер и высоко поднимает волны его: |
| They mount up to the heavens, they go down again to the depths: Their soul melteth away because of trouble. | восходят до небес, нисходят до бездны; душа их истаевает в бедствии; |
| They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, And are at their wits' end. | они кружатся и шатаются, как пьяные, и вся мудрость их исчезает. |
| Then they cry unto Jehovah in their trouble, And he bringeth them out of their distresses. | Но воззвали к Господу в скорби своей, и Он вывел их из бедствия их. |
| He maketh the storm a calm, So that the waves thereof are still. | Он превращает бурю в тишину, и волны умолкают. |
| Then are they glad because they are quiet; So he bringeth them unto their desired haven. | И веселятся, что они утихли, и Он приводит их к желаемой пристани. |
| Oh that men would praise Jehovah for his lovingkindness, And for his wonderful works to the children of men! | Да славят Господа за милость Его и за чудные дела Его для сынов человеческих! |
| Let them exalt him also in the assembly of the people, And praise him in the seat of the elders. | Да превозносят Его в собрании народном и да славят Его в сонме старейшин! |
| He turneth rivers into a wilderness, And watersprings into a thirsty ground; | Он превращает реки в пустыню и источники вод--в сушу, |
| A fruitful land into a salt desert, For the wickedness of them that dwell therein. | землю плодородную--в солончатую, за нечестие живущих на ней. |
| He turneth a wilderness into a pool of water, And a dry land into watersprings. | Он превращает пустыню в озеро, и землю иссохшую--в источники вод; |
| And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, That they may prepare a city of habitation, | и поселяет там алчущих, и они строят город для обитания; |
| And sow fields, and plant vineyards, And get them fruits of increase. | засевают поля, насаждают виноградники, которые приносят им обильные плоды. |
| He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; And he suffereth not their cattle to decrease. | Он благословляет их, и они весьма размножаются, и скота их не умаляет. |
| Again, they are diminished and bowed down Through oppression, trouble, and sorrow. | Уменьшились они и упали от угнетения, бедствия и скорби, -- |
| He poureth contempt upon princes, And causeth them to wander in the waste, where there is no way. | он изливает бесчестие на князей и оставляет их блуждать в пустыне, где нет путей. |
| Yet setteth he the needy on high from affliction, And maketh [him] families like a flock. | Бедного же извлекает из бедствия и умножает род его, как стада овец. |
| The upright shall see it, and be glad; And all iniquity shall stop her mouth. | Праведники видят сие и радуются, а всякое нечестие заграждает уста свои. |
| Whoso is wise will give heed to these things; And they will consider the lovingkindnesses of Jehovah. Psalm 108 A Song, A Psalm of David. | Кто мудр, тот заметит сие и уразумеет милость Господа. |
